The initial experience was great. Welcome call was very nice, things seemed to be going smoothly. However, now for personal reasons I urgently need to withdraw from the program. I have called and called, I have sent emessages, I have waited on hold every day this week until it goes to voicemail: I left a couple messages, nobody has contacted me. I will see if they contact me back, I will see if they return my money to me. If not, this goes down to 1 star. They seem good at first but if you ever need to withdraw from the program, you might be in trouble, as it appears I am. I demand that these guys call me back! Trying to get through to them as I make this review :( Now, at 20 minutes of hold time, it sends me to leave a voice message and the call is ended.Update, I called at 8am Monday morning and finally got through to them, the lady was very nice and immediately confirmed my cancellation and issued a refund of my deposits (minus a $10 monthly holding fee). For that, giving 4 stars.

This is my second time having to use a settlement company to help me out. I shouldve went back to the first company. I thought that they wouldve settled with my creditors and pay them back, but what I am finding out as my credit is dropping faster than I need at this stage of my life, is that they want the money available for them to settle before they settle. I couldve done that myself. I am told that they are negotiating with my creditors, but they cant tell me where they are at with the negotiations. I have sent the settlement offers of 2 of them and they have settled with the lowest one and they havent contacted the second one yet. I am about to start the process myself get this over with.

I have been dealing with you since my first payment March. The representatives that I have spoken with have been helpful and polite. I understand that a bank of funds so to speak needs to built in order for you to deal with the creditors. The only downside to that is the stress from the creditors because of missed payments which I always made but never really made any headway due to the interest rates. Most of the cards I stopped using unless there was an emergency. The notification of agreement have been prompt and greatly appreciated. There are still a few to settle and any correspondence I have shared with you so it can be added to the file.

Perhaps its in the fine print and I missed it, but you should make it clear that once one starts the program, itll be MONTHS before any settlement is even begun. Now that I understand the process, you must wait until the account is a certain number of days late, it makes more sense. But I became anxious about all the late payment fees and interest that has been being charged. The account balances tended to pile up higher and higher for all of those months. Therefore the balances were larger than they were when I began the program. Frustrating because I felt like you were receiving a portion of my payments when no work was actually being done on my account. That felt suspicious and caused me a lot of angst, on top of what I was already feeling by receiving a multitude of calls and threatening letters.However, I agree that agents are always kind and helpful, and things seem to be moving along now that I have been waiting for 10 months. Whew!

I have mixed feelings between the two settlements they helped with. One was very successful and one was all but unsuccessful and the only reason I received any saving is because I negotiated down the fee they planned to charge me. Being charged for an unsuccessful settlement isn’t very pleasing so that could’ve been better. That being said, every person I dealt with from ADR was incredibly pleasant and as helpful as they could be. 10/10 for customer service.

What can I say, at first I was hesitant about this program wasn’t too sure. Gave it a try, I had 3 credit cards maxed out. Which I’m honestly not doing again. This program helped me out. I finished paying mine of last year around Oct or Nov 2022. Huge Relief. Bad side, credit score does drop not gonna lie but it does go back up lol. If anyone joins the program which I highly recommend 10/10 If you can’t afford to be paying other 5 credit cards separate payments. Separate Dates American Debt Relief will help you out. ADR was able to set me free to settle with Navy Federal Credit Union , which I heard through people thats hard to settle with Navy Federal. ADR was willing to work with me even though I could not pay the whole balance each month, as long as I paid. Things cost so much these days. Daycare especially. PLEASE CHECK OUT AMERICAN DEBT RELIEF. They give great advice and have a great relationship with Navy Federal Credit Union.

I’m slated to be in the program for 4 years.I was able to settle one large debt on my own and removed it from the ADR program.I feel like ADR is a great company to work alongside with depending on your goals. They might not be able to reach a settlement with all my creditors and being aware of that is important. I’m hopeful that the remainder of my accounts can be settled successfully.Be prepared for your credit score to take a massive hit. Mine is the lowest it’s ever been. But, I was drowning in minimum payments and this is part of the process of eliminating debt when you go this route.

Everything was good until I went to close out my account. The person who close my account DID NOT do his math right ended up owing alittle more then what was expected. Never stop the payment from being withdrawing from my back account. The little I owed instead of them taking out what was left over they took the whole payment so I had to do without until they set the reimbursement back. So make sure when closing out your account you make sure the TRIPLE check their math and make sure the close your account correctly. Make Sure they tell you that you GRADUATE from your plan.

Im not sure why there have been such bad reviews claiming that this company is a scam. Im guessing those experiences have been with companies purporting to be ADR in order to scam people. If you receive an unsolicited call from someone claiming to be from ADR, Id recommend that you hang up and look up the company online for their actual contact information.Ive had a very professional experience with ADR. They told me right off the bat how they operate and what to expect. I went through a crisis period in my life and accrued almost $70k in credit card debt, which I was able to finally pay off thanks to ADR.Id say this route is probably not ones first or second choice to paying down debt, because it requires you to stop making monthly payments for months and to take a huge hit on your credit score. You have to be patient and ignore all the phone calls from your creditors, and you make monthly payments to a third party account which they draft from and keep track of in order to decide when and how to negotiate with each of your creditors. ADR calculates how much they get paid based on how much they settle each account for, which gets tacked on top of the settlement amount.The online portal is easy to navigate through and it is always easy and pretty quick to get someone on the line when you try to contact them, and everyone Ive ever spoken to is professional, helpful, and responsive.
