    Absolute perfection. The Haven perfectly captured my vision of an Irish Country wedding and made my dream a reality. My family and close friends got a weekend of peace and tranquility along the river, perfect weather, an idyllic setting, a beautiful old inn, and thoughtful service. It was everything I wanted. And more.

    Absolutely The perfect location for a Silent Retreat. William is an amazing host. His food was made with so much love. How can gluten-free dairy free food taste this good it must be the anointing of the Lord no seriously it’s an amazing location. It is a Victorian home so the rooms are older but if I needed anything, William was there to fix it. We already booked our next retreat.

    We hosted a bridal shower at Haven River Inn. The setting was beautiful both inside the inn and outdoors. I can’t say enough great things about how helpful the staff was in planning, catering, and special requests. The food was yummy, the prices reasonable and the setting was darling.

    We Had our wedding reception and rehearsal dinner on the porch at the Haven in 2021. William was very easy to work with and was very accommodating. Our wedding happened to be the year of the freeze so we couldn’t have guests stay in the rooms at the haven as originally planned. (So I haven’t seen the new renovations of the rooms but they look really great) Thus the haven worked with us and helped us with the changes as much as they could. I was very thankful for their efforts. The property is gorgeous, the views were magical and so romantic from the porch- where we had our rehearsal dinner party and wedding brunch reception. The little cabins were adorable, my family was able to stay at the three little cabins overnight. I didn’t want the day to end it was so beautiful! And our wedding pictures were really beautiful as well, so many little spots to choose from!

    My husband & I stayed at the inn for a time of rest & seeking the Lord. Its a perfect place for this! No distractions! McKenzie & William were both wonderful & accommodating. What an AMAZING landscape! The pecan trees were magnificent to see all over the property. The river was pretty dry due to the drought, but I can see how this venue would be the perfect place for weddings! We noticed they are almost finished building a wedding chapel! This is a wonderful, peaceful place to visit!

    My aunt had her wedding here. The place is very lovely. Its right by a river and the scenery is beautiful. My aunt got married under a big oak tree. We stayed overnight and I gave the room 4 stars because they didnt have a television. We were able to go down to the living area where they have a generous space with couches and a television. The porch is wrapped around and my family spent some time outside catching up. I liked the fact that we had the property to ourselves. We were able to roam around, explore and go in and out without worrying about disturbing anyone.

    We rented two cabins for a family getaway and had a lovely time. Everything was clean and in good repair. The pool and deck were a bit aged but otherwise clean and functional. The section of adjacent river is very picturesque! Its an easy 2 minute drive to the center of town, but you feel like youre a world away.

    I spent 2 nights at the Haven River Inn for a personal retreat and thoroughly enjoyed my time. It was quiet and peaceful, and I felt totally relaxed. The kitchen area upstairs is a huge plus, as I had come during the pandemic and had brought some of my own food. The Inn is also conveniently located between 2 state parks, which make for a quick day trip.

    This place was amazing. My wife and I got to spend the night here and we left feeling rested and relaxed. The rooms at Haven River Inn are all unique and have themes based upon the rooms scenery and furniture. The staff are super friendly and the food is superb. There is so much to do here. There is a swimming pool, nature walk, and they have a counselor/ chaplain as well. The rooms do not have any tvs, because the focus is on rejuvenating from busy world. The rooms do have wifi, so you wont be missing anything. Overall, this place is awesome. A must go and see venue. I have already recommended it to several of my friends.

    We were ecstatic when we found this venue out of 100’s we had sifted through, my fiancé (now husband) loved it and so did I! I messaged Mckenzie who handles all the online communications for weddings and she got back to me right away working on dates available for a wedding and when we could come visit, the cost, what was included. She was patient, kind, and helpful, and made the whole process easy. She even sent a reference list of vendors they had used in the past which we found very helpful. William was the manager, our main point of contact and he was the perfect gentleman. We were allowed to come on multiple occasions to visit and plan out where items would be placed and to bring our decorations, food, drinks, furniture items in advance on the day before people arrived for the wedding weekend. William worked with us on everything, absolutely everything, and he was 100% professional. He made sure we could bring our dog Luna so she could be in the wedding and for the wedding lunch he cooked hotdogs, burgers, and sliced the watermelon and everyone loved the meals they prepared. (lunch/breakfast).If you are looking for a really modern and bougie wedding this may not be the venue you are looking for, but if you want an authentic Texas country wedding, we recommend you give it a chance and tour the property. The rooms and main house have history and love built into them. Many people have shared an experience here you truly feel positive energy all around the main house and throughout the property. The Haven River is an oasis hidden away from the rest of the world, where you and your guests can let go by enjoying a weekend of quality time that restores the mind, body, and soul.They offered the best price for everything you are getting without question and trust us, we looked. If you have found this venue, stop and go for a tour of the grounds, and if you are anything like me you will set your date the same day and send the deposit the next. The Haven River Inn has everything you need and so much more. Our wedding was so special and more than we could have ever dreamed of because of this venue. It really was a blessing to have found this property. Many of our friends and family said it was the best wedding they ever went to, and they were so happy to have a kid free weekend away.We were able to enjoy swimming in the river, sitting on the large wrap around porch watching the sunrise/set, competitive volleyball matches in the pool. Our wedding ceremony outside was wonderful under the trees with our beautiful wooden trellis with hanging wisteria and the weather for the weekend was hot at times but also perfect. Renting out the Haven River Inn for our wedding weekend was the best decision we made during planning. I wish we had a do over so that I could slow it down this time and really take in all the magical moments of that whole weekend.     Haven River Inn helped create an environment that restored me emotionally, spiritually and physically. Its beautiful property along with serenity makes it the ultimate place to relax and unwind. Love the open porch and rocking chairs. And being so close to the river. Highly recommend!

    A wonderful place!!! My wife and I stayed in the place last June. It locates by a beautiful river. When we walked by the river, I was reminded of my childhood and felt the serenity. The breakfast area is great! It is a quiet and peaceful place for couples, no wonder it is called haven, maybe close to heaven. Oh, I almost forgot to mention: the Staff is greeeeeeeeeeat!!!

    Beautiful place to have a family reunion - or meeting of any sort. Rooms are great, beds firm and comfortable, the big house has a large deck that accommodated a 4 piece band and the breakfasts were delicious. Kids liked the pool.

    Perfect for a relaxing night away. Most cottages include two bedrooms (with two beds) and individual bathrooms for each side of the cottage. Visitors do have some access to the river as well.

    Beautiful accommodations with a very friendly staff. Perfect getaway. Plenty of time to relax and a wonderful breakfast. Hang out at the pool or head down to the river on the property. Not far from Fredericksburg to do some shopping. Definitely coming back.
