The complex is an older complex, But the maintenance men do a good job of keeping the property clean. The lady in the office Celia always responses to repairs quickly. She is very helpful. Very nice lady. The one bedroom apartment with a study is perfect for me and my daughter. lots of closet space and a very large bedroom.

I have read all the previous reviews and I am very saddened to feel the negativity, the lady who helped me today was the most helpful and caring Manager I have dealt with so I am guessing she may be pretty new. She seems to know the property and was very honest towards all my questions and concerns. I am not sure how I felt about the property but the unit she showed me was lovely and felt like I can make it my home, I feel more can be done with the exterior but I do understand that things may not be in her control when it comes to the cosmetic appearance of this property. I lived here for over ten years and am contemplating on returning. I was happy back then, will it make sense to lease an apartment based on a person...I am considering it.

I recently visited The Colony and, although they had no availability to meet our needs, the manager on duty went out of her way to call two other sister sites to check their availability for us. She was able to find an opening at another apartment complex nearby and even made a tentative appointment for us. After a long day of searching and coming up short, it was SO refreshing to have someone give us the kind of customer service we deserved. Thank you Cindy, your tenants are lucky to have you!!

Recently came to visit and my husband and I are extremely impressed. They have brand new management and he is SO nice. Was willing to acomodate our needs and the units are clean and well kept. The community seems quiet and very close to stores and the highway. Great location. We are crossing our fingers to get to move here. Rent is going up a bit because of a future renovated laundry facility.

Theyre pretty understaffed, thats true (I feel pretty bad for their maintenance men; the two of them work to hold down the fort, and the apartmentments are pretty vast in number considering its only them), but living here has been an overall pleasant experience. Have met many pleasant neighbors, many whove lived here quite a while. (Though, naturally, some noisey ones as well.. to be fair, though, I suppose many of us get noisy even just occasionally.) I think it a wonderful location (right next to the Arts Center) and just near the edge of Las Colinas if your ever need to get over there. 4.5 stars (rounds up to 5). May return in the future, but I would still hope for improvement in amount of staff! I can apreciate their efforts but that still hold true

I have been a resident here for over 2 years and let me start with why I love to live here.1. There’s always parking spots available2. There’s cover parking for your vehicles3. No problems with neighbors whatsoever4. I know for a fact that people that have been evicted from here are the ones with negative reviews with bunch of lies5. I’ve never had a problem with bugs or maintenance6. LOCATION PEOPLE, on McArthur and 183 can’t beat that!

I really love living in the Colony Apts. The neighbors in my courtyard are very nice people, friendly and easy to please. My apt. is small, but very cute and I can garden or decorate however I want, which I love, and it is inexpensive, too, which is great. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that this is an older apt (1960s) so things need to be repaired periodically. The heat and air condition work well, though, so we are comfortable all year. Many of my neighbors are Univ. of Dallas Phd. students, so there is great conversation to go around.

I’ve lived here two years now and am very happy with my apartment. The office staff is very helpful and attentive to any requests I might have. Do yourself a favor and give The Colony a chance. You’ll be happy!!
