    Ive been here 8 months. Considering that the place was built around 1968 its in good condition and being improved on. The rooms are well built and theres a range of apartments to choose from to fit your budget. Multiple washers and dryers in the laundry room so the need to go to a laundromat has been non-existent for me. A pool and grill area at both A and B sides are kept clean every time I have seen it. Even at apartments closer to where the dumpsters are I rarely encountered any pests. If theres any complex wide issues or water shut offs they let you know with ample time too so youre not caught off guard. Plenty of parking spots as well.Also; Shout out to Heather the apartment manager who is very attentive to any issues that come up and is making the complex more comfortable for all!Bonus points for walking distance to HEB, bus stop right out front, and safe walkable neighborhood close by.

    Great property in prime location! Close enough to all of the amenities without being right in the middle of Downtown Austin, and easily accessible to 290 and 35. The new property manager, Eva is great as well and timely with any concerns. The property is clean and well kept and has routine maintenance and pest control. Several great courtyard areas, large pools and grills.

    This is the first apartment I’ve lived in and for someone who was starting out, the place gave me a home. The free gas and ac/heat that they offered really helped me with my expenses. Besides the minor issues it has, I was still able to live comfortably. Overall the place was great, very near and accessible to my work, downtown and other essential places. Management has been very friendly and do their best to fix the said issues.

    Moved here during the pandemic so I was able to get a good deal on the apartment and found it very convenient because it was in a great area in the middle of the city. Perfect to walk your dog around the nearby neighborhood without all the city ruckus. Management was helpful from the start. AC is free although the complex does control it so when it is cold or hot outside you could feel it from the apartment. Another con was I did notice a couple trespassers but the apartment became aware of this and provided an onsite security later during my lease. The apartment also held up great during the winter storm and I had not horrible maintenance issues. The main reason I moved out was because I wanted newer appliances. Overall a great first apartment.

    This complex is great! The management team is so caring and helpful. She works really hard and makes sure to do her best to make your stay here as pleasant as possible. Its very peaceful and in a super convenient location! Everyone including the other residents are very welcoming! I definitely encourage you to stay here!

    I really do enjoy living here. Ive lived here for almost 3 years. Its very convenient to where i work and places that i shop and do business at. The people are friendly and the property is kept clean and nice looking. Recently the new manager Wendy made a lot of changes and in my opinion things have gotten even better. The property is old and has had some issues in the past but compaired to some of the newer apartment complexes ive lived at, this place is in excelent condition and kept up very well. The only time I ever had any roaches is when i had a messy roommate. Just like any place you can live in, if your apartment isnt clean youre gonna get roaches. Ive never had any rats but im sure that its the same as roaches, they come when youre not clean. The office staff is very nice and the maintenance is very fast to take care of any issues ive had. I even see the manager and the maintenance staff working here over the weekends when theyre supposed to be off.Most of the residents here are students and come and go every year. Im not a student and have been able to see many students that cause problems leave within the year. Its nice and quiet here, not like west campus. And for the most part, the students that come here are nice. When ive had complaints about my neighbors the girls in the office were very nice to talk to me about it and talk to my neighbors about it.The only thing i wish was that there were washers and dryers in the apartments but i know thats not managements fault. I also wish the rent was a little lower but for living in Hyde Park with free AC and Heat, you cant beat the price.I read alot of the other reviews, and I noticed the very bad ones were very old. From when the other manager and maintenace man were here. I can honestly say that this place is great and has never looked better. Dont believe the bad reviews, come and see for yourself.

    I have very much enjoyed living here. The price is fair for those of us on a budget, the location is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and attentive to service requests. For example, at one point my stove died, and within one day they replaced the old stove with a brand new one. Before COVID-19, I also use to use the pools a lot, because they are both massive and frequently cleaned. Overall, a nice place to live.

    I really enjoyed living at this apartment complex. The management and staff are always friendly and willing to help. I have had minimal problems with my unit, however when problems did arise the maintenance staff were always quick to respond and fix my things.Another great thing about Tanglewood is that there is a 24 hour HEB about 5 minute drive or a 10 minute walk. If youre a UT Austin student, like I am, the shuttle is very convenient. Its directly across from tanglewood, so getting to school is easy and fast.Its relatively cheaper living here than in many Hyde park apartment complexes, where rent is surging. I highly recommend this place.

    I love this place! It’s close to everything because it’s so centralized. Im always going to Mueller Park, one of the biggest/nicest parks in Austin! (Which is right around the corner!) And cherrywood coffee is right down the road too. The manager here also does a great job! Very down to earth!

    I have lived in these apts since the end of October.I left for a year and came back and Austins rent prices went through the roof. I was soooo thankful I was able to stumble upon this place which has now become my favourite apartment Ive lived in.Yes, its almost 50 years old so its got some age, but with that age comes the fact it gets to have 2 9 FOOT pools open year round which is super hard to find because of some law that was passed not allowing pools to be that deep anymore.The 2 things that keep me here are the location and the leasing ladies.The location is absolutely spectacular with access to 24 hour HEB and Gym 10 minute walk away and second from the onramp to 35.The leasing ladies are truly the best Ive ever had. Ive lived in apartments all over the country from New York City to Austin. Every time I walk in, they are so cheerful, understanding and accommodating. Anytime something has needed fixing they are on it within 24 hours.So while the idea of leaving and moving to a newer complex at the end of my lease is tempting--I cant chance losing how good I have it here.

    Ive been living at tanglewood for about two years now and love the place. I have one of the smaller units and it was the most affordable place I could find in the area. Maintenance always replies in a timely manner, and they are currently remodeling the units which is another plus. It is located right next to a UT shuttle bus pick up spot and is a quick 8 minute drive to campus. Also Very friendly staff!

    Had a really good experience living at Tanglewood North for a year. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. The staff was excellent and always attentive to my needs on a timely manner. Wendy and Cindy were amazing, and so was the maintenance guy Albino who even helped me jump start my car a few times. Thank you Tanglewood for an superb living experience!

    Public transportation right in front of complex, so many places nearby for food/drink. There are two beautiful pools, and two laundry rooms on site and the manager is phenomenal!

    For an old apartment they kept it well. I didnt see any bug in my unit. The office guy is usually very friendly and helpful. There are some minor issues here and there but they respond fast and really dealing with them.

    I have been living here for 1 year. And it’s a great place to live. The environment is comfortable and there is a swimming pool. Also it’s very close to UT. Andrew is always kind and helpful. Hope everything goes well .
