Sonterra West in San Angelo, Texas. By far one of the best in the region of West Texas. Fairly reasonable for the cost of living. Gated community, pet friendly, small gym, and their very own laundry mat which was very convenient. The ladies in the front were super friendly, helpful, and literally went the extra mile. Especially when they didn’t need to. They definitely put themselves in the tenants shoes when it came to building problems. If I can tell them I love them I would.

Sonterra West is hands down the best apartment complex in San Angelo. The property is in pristine condition, with a beautiful pool, leasing office, and grounds. The community is gated which gives a sense of security and privacy. Located in a great part of town right down the block from Starbucks and HEB which is a huge plus. Mary Ann in the office is truly amazing along with Mike and his incredible maintenance staff. There is no coincidence the complex was awarded property of the year from the San Angelo Apartment Association!

My family and I have lived here for two years and have seen amazing improvements .the facility has gained shady areas for you and your family to enjoy some outdoor time. The gym area has gained so much new equipment that I no longer feel the need to pay for a gym membership. The maintenance crew have always responded to our request within 24hrs and whatever issues weve had no matter how minor have been resolved within the next day. We love this apartment 🙌🏼 complex and cannot express how great this place has been for us. Thank you so much.

It was a nice place to live, good management, and great maintenance. My only issue is that it tends to get noisy due to the bar next to it, but its something the apartment cannot control. When the rent raised up, I had to move out due to not being able to afford food. If I were making more money, I definitely would move back.

Sonterra West is a community which I can call my home away from home. The community is quiet, friendly, and feels safe with its gated enclosure. I have made many friends during my stay with the friendly neighbors, and Mary Ann in the office is a true rockstar! Maintenance staff are super helpful and friendly and always there if need be. I would highly recommend Sonterra as your next apartment home.

This apartment community is one of the best in the san angelo area. I have to give it up for Mike (maintenance). He always works hard to fix the problems and always cleans up the mess well. Hes really nice and has a friendly demeanor every time. Im happy to call this place home.

Beautiful, safe, quiet and well maintained property. Great front office and great maintenance crew. They really care about everyone.You don’t even need a car for any shopping. Starbucks, Walgreens, HEB and Dollar Tree are all next door.

We lived at Sonterra West Apartments for a few months in 2020 and loved it. The property and apartments are clean and kept up very well. We also loved that the property is gated and the area is safe. The staff is top-notch and were always so friendly to us. Kim, the manager, is one of the kindest people you will meet and very down to earth! She was great about communicating with us, always professional, helpful, and made our first apartment/home experience amazing! We were sad to leave, but we are thankful for the memories that these apartments hold for us!Thank you, Sonterra West team for being so great and making the first step in our PCS so easy. We appreciate it!If you are a young couple, military couple, single, or a small family, and are reading these reviews on Google because you are looking for a great, affordable apartment, we highly recommend Sonterra West Apartments.We would also like to add that the bug issue mentioned in a few of these reviews was taken care of. We never dealt with any pests inside or out of our apartment, and we know from personal experience that the pest control Sonterra West uses is amazing and effective.

My rating is closer to 4.5While I was living at sonterra west, management changed 3 times, but every time they were attentive, friendly and easy to work with. The apartment complex is in a good location right by a main road, and is quiet and safe. Management will take care of your packages for you. Maintenance was quick to respond and did a good job. They change the filters and spray for bugs every month. When I moved in the apartment was clean and well taken care of. At one point someone kept parking in my parking spot- and management dealt with it quickly.The *only* reason I would take away half of a star is because laundry is not in unit (although this is difficult to find in San Angelo anyway), there wasn’t a microwave. Beyond that, I can’t complain about my experience!

Ever since moving in the staff here at Sonterra West has been wonderful !! Mary Ann especially is quick to respond on any questions / issues / maintenance / etc. I’ve never personally had any inconveniences however, big or little that couldn’t be solved.

I lived there for about three years and really enjoyed my stay. When Ms.Kim, became the manager, I started to see things get better. Quick to get things done and her open door policy was the best. Thank you, Ms. Kim for everything and your professionalism. Also, the maintenance guy, Omar did a great job.

I have been nothing but impressed with the professionalism by the Manager( Kim )and the Staff at Sonterra West. Their value of safety, attentiveness to maintenance and incredible level of professionalism only confirms that my choice to live in this Apartment Community was a fantastic decision. I highly recommended anyone looking for somewhere to live, to come here. You will definitely feel like family!

We moved to San Angelo on last minute military orders a few months ago and couldn’t be happier with our experience. Kim, the manager, and Ariel made the application and then move in process seamless. Omar, the maintenance man, is quick and reliable with anything and everything community wide! Rent is also well within all ranks of BAH rates and bills are kept low!The grounds are beautiful, the two gates make you feel very safe and secure, theres a new awning at the swimming pool, and new card and coin operated machines in the large and clean laundry facility! Pest control comes once a month and the office always has treats on national food days! The monthly news letter makes sure you never miss out on any neighborhood or town wide activities!AMAZING location, close to everything (1 min to HEB, Starbucks, Walgreens and so much more), but off the main road! Neighbors are friendly and quiet with a mix of people from military families, working professionals, to retirees.Sonterra West is the right choice for anyone looking to rent! We will definitely be coming back here if the military sends us back this way!

Former resident here.When my house suddenly sold after months being on the market, I knew that I needed to get into an apartment ASAP. The staff at Sonterra West were so friendly and helpful! I was able to get moved out of my house and into my new apartment within 3 days!I now live in a different part of Texas but I wanted to put this review out there to give kudos to the wonderful staff at Sonterra West. Fran, Jaci and Richard - thanks for a great year!

The apartments have its own little community in the center of San Angelo. Management is very informative on upcoming weather updates, and maintaining a clean facility. I have yet to see a piece of trash or one bug in or outside the apartment complex.

Great staff, really easy to talk to. Any issues Ive had have been attended to in a timely manner. Like the laminate flooring in the living room/kitchen but I wish it was put in the bedroom and closet.

Fran the Manager is the best and has always been very cheerful and delightful to work with. She has always been very accommodating. She’s a veteran and understands the demands of the military and is very accommodating to military members.
