I’ve been living at San Marin for almost two months now, and it has been a wonderful experience! I tend to be thorough when it comes to important decisions like housing, and I had specific criteria in mind. However, after touring six different apartment complexes in various locations with different benefits, San Marin stood out the most throughout my search.My apartment search took about two months, and each time I came back to San Marin, they had new options for me to review. Angel and Alexander were incredibly helpful during my search and tours. They took the time to show me every unit I was interested in and offered multiple options. Eventually, I found the perfect apartment that checked all my boxes. The application process was smooth and quick, thanks to Dez and Alexander. They made me feel well taken care of and maintained excellent communication throughout the process.One of the things I appreciate most about San Marin is how responsive the maintenance team is. Every request I’ve made has been resolved within 24 hours, and they are always professional and helpful. I also feel very safe living here, and the community is always clean. The pet waste stations are regularly refilled, which I really appreciate, and when neighbors leave a mess around the trash area, it gets cleaned up promptly.My only complaint is that I wish there was better soundproofing. While the walls aren’t paper-thin, living in a first-floor unit means I can hear my upstairs neighbors, which can sometimes be distracting. It would also be great if there were more security cameras around the property for added peace of mind.Overall, my experience at San Marin has been excellent. It’s a comfortable, well-maintained place to live, and I highly recommend it to any young professionals looking for a new home!

Let me start off with I love Dez and her awesome vibe! She really took her time in showing me the property and making sure I found what I want. I can’t wait to move in, the prices are excellent and the property appears to be well taken care of. Large selection of apt sizes and beautiful natural property. Dez was so personal, fun and I just want to be her bff.

Recently moved here and have loved the move in process and my communication with the leasing office. I went to the office after work to tell them about something that needed to be fixed and the came within the hour and it was resolved within minutes. Dez and the other gentlemen in the office were great and have been since we moved in. Really appreciate their efficiency and attentiveness. Oh and shoutout to the maintenance crew who came by, they were great !

Great complex and admin team!! The entire grounds is covered with trees and the two halves of the complex are even connected by a trail that leads right into a green belt area. On top of that the management and maintenance teams are amazing, considerate, and reliable. Me and my roommate communicated directly with Dez who was just incredible. She was kind, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. She helped us look at apartments, deals, and took us on multiple tours. We appreciated her patience and professionalism and could not have been happier with our experience. We’ve already told friends about how nice San Marin is and told them to look for Dez she will not disappoint! We’ve been moved in for about a month now and the apartment has been absolutely amazing. Great location and proximity to the city but around enough nature to feel immersed in it, not to mention a great price so best of all worlds. Very pleased and grateful with everything about San Marin!

Let me start this review off by saying there were a couple different factors that affected our decision to sign at San Marin. I also want to say, I’ve been in the apartment hunting position many times, and honest reviews have really helped me make informed decisions on whether or not to sign a place. I hope I’ve included information that will assist you in making the best decision for yourselves. My roommate and I had toured 8 different 2x2 apartments(mainly in north and central Austin) and San Marin stood out as the clear winner. We’ve lived here about 2 months for frame of reference.1)Our leasing consultant Dez was by far the most down to earth, knowledgeable, patient, communicative, HONEST, dedicated, genuine, and reliable leasing agent that we had met whenever we were touring. I‘ve lived and dealt with over 7 leasing agents and their teams, and I can confidently say Dez has by FAR shown us a better experience in EVERY aspect of apartment hunting/living. She was a huge part of why we felt comfortable moving here, as we felt taken care of before we even moved. There have been many times where I have walked into an apartment leasing office and felt as if the agent just saw me as the next possible money bag, but Dez didn’t exude any greed. If you wish to be treated like a human being, I could not recommend Dez more.2)We toured 5 different 2x2 floor plans just at San Marin, and we agreed that there was one that we loved the best, however, we wouldn’t have been mad at all if we had to live in any of those. The availability and variety of different floor plans for different needs was a really big selling point for San Marin. Being a garden property, the place feels integrated with nature rather than random trees being placed on a built concrete platform. Everything feels intentional and far less artificial. Our balcony has a view into a peaceful woodsy area, there’s a huge trail right behind our building, multiple dog parks, not one, but TWO fitness/amenity centers. There was also a religious accommodation that needed to be made for us to move in and Dez took care of us for that. Maintenance is really quick, and their emergency line is very prompt. I submitted a request for my thermostat to be fixed around 9pm on a weekday because it was 78 in our apartment and they came within 45 minutes and left in another 10! We also got a great deal on our apartment, they were running a half a month free special and they seem to run specials fairly frequently, so make sure you get the best deal.3)Like all apartment complexes, there are some issues. As you may have noticed in other reviews, there have been billing issues, which we have also experienced. I’d say going into the office is your best bet I’ve seen(and heard) their phone lines and emails be congested. We had our billing issue fixed within a couple of days, so be proactive if you do find yourself having any issues. Crime wise, we have never felt unsafe, our neighbors all seem friendly, and the parking is first come, first serve but I’ve never had to drive too far to find a spot. I love how covered parking is also free, helps with the Texas sun.Tldr- you’ll have the best experience if you sign with Dez, and you really can’t go wrong with signing here as long as you’re proactive about issues and maintenance work orders!

Great place to live with great employees! The office staff and maintenance crew go that extra mile for a tenant. Update:I have now been here 12 years and realize this is more than my apartment its my home. There is just a great sense of community here and Alex and Dez the newest faces in the office are Gems. If youre looking for a community this is where you want to be.

Our courtesy officer, Pete, is the best & I feel so much safer knowing that he keeps a great eye on things! He also fosters a ton of community in our complex, & part of the reason I like living here is because I know my neighbors through him. Angel & the maintenance team have also always fixed my requests quickly & professionally; often getting to them within 24 hours. They’re great too.Only reason it’s 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pool doesn’t have key fobs or a code to keep it resident-only, and the hot tub has been broken on & off, & takes a long time for the front office to fix. But overall it has been a great place to live!

If you’re looking for a community of kindhearted, friendly, and supportive people than you’ll fit right in here at San Marin! We have Pete, our courtesy officer, with 30+ years as a state trooper. He is unlike any peace officer I have met. He truly cares about the community around him and does his best to ensure fairness for all. The definition of what a Good cop should be. He’s lived here for a while and has helped cultivate a truly remarkable community. He runs the Facebook Group called “San Marin Community” as well as a community WhatsApp. These resources keep us all informed on the various social activity’s like weekend tailgates, birthday parties, pool days during the summer and jacuzzi nights during the winter! I’ve lived in many cities, both in apartments and was a homeowner as well. I spent my life traveling looking for a solid community. Here I have truly found it. I have recently forgone the opportunity to purchase a house and I want to explain that it is because of the uniqueness and top quality of this apartment complex. This place has a 1 of a kind loving and caring community. Its staff is excellent. Angel from Apartment Maintance can have his team make same day repairs to 99% of things and I can’t tell you enough about how much that means to me! The entire maintenance team is bright and shining and very kind. Daniel from maintenance is a hard worker. I see him everyday running around doing one thing or another to keep up this communities high standards!The office staff is incredible. I can tell they are well lead by Ramon the assistant property manager. I have never had an issue outside of one time, (my own personal mistake) of not re-enrolling in an autopay thing causing a late payment, I was unaware of it and Berkshires inability to cut me some slack on the late fee (when it was their system that didn’t communicate from one account to another) did cause some frustration, but that’s corporate and you’ll find these kinds of things at ANY apartment.Seriously though wether you’re looking for an apartment near the Domain, but don’t want to pay Domain prices, desire to be apart of a safe area, or want a genuinely wholesome and loving place to live. San Marin is the place to be, you can count on it!

I have been looking around the area at competitors and was relieved when I finally settled in here.I had the fortune to tour with a young lady by the name of Jodie and she was very polite! She made sure to be informative and was able to answer all of my questions successfully.The property itself was just as great as my experience with Jodie. It was clean, maintenance was being done to the property while I was there which is reassuring, and the unit I was showed definitely looked ready to move in unlike several other properties I had seen.They get a 5 star from me for being prepared, informative, and just an overall great tour.

Im SO happy that I chose to make San Marin my new home. I love my apartment, the location, and the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful but I especially have to give a shout out to Cesar. He really made my transition here go smoothly. Maintenance is prompt and professional with requests. The prices seem pretty fair (which is refreshing considering the rapidly inflating cost of living in Austin.) Overall I cant think of any major complaints and I can see myself calling this home for awhile!

This is my first American apartment. Its so nice to have nice walking trails and parks around. I live on the third floor, but there was no bug in the house. The apartment staff are all kind and they solve everything in a day. There are more parking spaces than I thought, so you dont have to worry about parking. The average age is higher than that of the university because there are many people who raise children or family members here. Therefore, you can meet quieter and more mature people. The neighbors are all kind and helpful.One disadvantage is that the appliances and cabinets are a little old, but they all work well and its not a big deal to live here.

This is a fantastic place to call home! I have lived here for 9 years and been very happy. The staff is incredible and takes good care of the tenants. The maintenance staff is fast, friendly, and efficient. My building has always been extremely quiet and clean.Management makes frequent updates to the property and grounds to keep it looking beautiful. The pool, clubhouse, and workout facility is always well maintained. They have done a lot of appreciation events like cook outs, food trucks, and even handing out breakfast one morning as we left for work.Location is great as it is close to the Domain and easy access to Mopac and 183.I will be starting a new chapter in a new city but will always have great memories of my time at San Marin and the staff that made it feel like home!

My husband and I moved here over a year ago and really love it. We had transferred from another Berkshire property in Houston which was also very nice. The staff here at San Marin are very friendly and responsive. They work very hard to make this a great place to live. The maintenance staff is top notch and always addresses any issues very quickly. The property is well-maintained, quiet, and in a great location for just about anything you need.Update: October 2021My husband and I still love living here! We recently had our AC unit go out, and maintenance was over promptly and fixed it quickly. The office staff called us a few days later to follow up and make sure all was working well. We really appreciate this level of care.The maintenance staff is AWESOME, and we appreciate them so much. During the winter storm and all during Covid-19, they have been working tirelessly.Although Austin rent is not cheap, we chose to renew our lease so that we can live in a quiet place with a great staff.

My wife and I have lived here for 8+ years. We are very thankful to have found this place. The city of Austin has grown significantly around us but San Marin has always been a safe and secure place to call home. Whats been most impressive in recent years is the maintenance team. Angel (the supervisor) genuinely cares about each concern and goes above + beyond the call of duty to solve the problem no matter what. Summers are hot in Texas and the A/C unit sometimes needs immediate attention but anytime we have needed help he has fixed it quickly and efficiently. I wouldnt want to live anywhere else in Northwest Austin. If we ever were to move out of the city we would surely miss the entire staff but especially maintenance being just a phone call away.

Where do I begin? We love it here at San Marin. Our first stop of looking for a place and didn’t even have to look elsewhere. We met Jodie upon arrival and my husband and I were helped immediately. We had questions then walked us through to a unit we might be interested in. Very approachable and professional. New the entire Texas state Jodie was the right person since she grew up in the area. We applied and everything just rolled in smoothly. Met Caesar the second time of the process and boy it was like a party after that. Super down to earth and very professional. He was with us every step of moving in making sure everything was covered. Thank you Jodie and Caesar. To top it off it was nice to have someone there who also came from the islands and we knew it right then this is the place for us.Very quiet and the Residents are friendly especially very dog friendly. Clean premises and lots of parking. Close to a lot of shops and shopping malls. Thank you Jodie, Caesar and Ashley for making the process super fast, easy and FUN!

TERRific Tour with Fernie over the weekend, I L❤️ve its traditional exterior attached garages+ *double patios.* tf.!Fernie not only pointed out the properties *double amenities*, but how the community is settled next to a classic green belt with accessible trails that connecting both properties, and a convenient community park across the street dual basketball courts 🏀+🛝🚴.Then Fernie double down by highlighting the modern upgrades on this established area, GREAT Location ,minutes away from the Domain/Uptown/Q2 /shopping & employers.I might lease an a7 if my roommate decides to come and 2 bedroom here is ideal for a roommate situation.I’m transferring from another Beautiful Berkshire to B-closer to work.Five⭐️Fernie is saving me lot💲of money in fees and also getting me a move in $pecial. She was super knowledgeable about the area and showed me how accessible everything was to this apartments location. She answered all of my questions as well. We’ve lived here for a little over a month now and absolutely love it. The location is perfect, the complex isn’t too loud , and the apartment is very well maintained. We’ve only had a couple issues to call maintenance about and they always came the very next day and fixed it immediately.With the move in process, Jade was spectacular. She was always on standby for any issue or snag we ran into, was incredibly helpful and efficient, and even stayed late so we could move in on our desired day. She was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the process and just made things so easy on us.Would highly recommend it here! It really feels like home.

I’m coming up on a year living at San Marin, and I have some things to say.Most complexes I’ve lived at have been comprised of management and leasing agents that are difficult to access, slow to fix issues, and unwilling to have a conversation regarding possible solutions. And most places have the habit of just letting the building/unit fall apart around you, if the neighbors don’t run you off first.But at San Marin I have found something very important to me: security. No, not the kind that carries keys and a flashlight. Rather the kind of security that comes from knowing no matter what the problem is, I can rely on someone answering the phone or door and taking the time to problem solve with me.Of the office staff here, I’ve worked with Roman and Ashley the longest. These two individuals have never failed to work towards a compromise if it can be found. And if we have needed anything since 2020, it’s compromise.They have achieved the goal of building a stable environment for residents of this community with their tenacious will, steadfast support, and the drive necessary to find creative solutions.I can’t thank them enough for all that they do.

Her name was Jodie and she was so sweet and told me the amazing things about the property. I loved that she was just as excited about me looking for my new home as much as I was! I am still deciding but definitely in my top 3! 🙌😊

The office staff has been helpful and professional. The maintenance has been average, had an AC issue that after the third ticket of it going out they replaced the unit. Parking is alright depending on where your apartment is, not all the buildings have as much parking. We personally saw other reviews complaining about it so we rented a garage since our apartment does not have one. Honestly, the garage is only a benefit when we go out and get home late as that is the only time we cant find a spot within proximity to our apartment. The garage has also worked out well for a little extra storage space, not much more then what we were paying for self storage anyway so it was a win. The dog park is big, but not a lot of grass. However, there is a nice park right across the street if grass is important, and there is plenty of grass dog potty stations in the place. The biggest reason for me choosing this place was its location. In Phase 1 we have a traffic light to get in and out during busy hours, we are close to the domain, without being in it. It costs us a 5 dollar Uber ride to go and enjoy a nice meal or some night life there.

Ive found the apartment complex to be nice and well worth the price. Certainly the maintenance could be improved, but eventually all of my issues are fixed and there is positive communication with the staff.Theres a park in the back of the buildings where you can walk for miles, provided the stream isnt flooded.Theres a nice little dog park for your dogs to run around and meet other dogs, if you wish.The domain is nearby, though its a bit of a walk, not a problem unless youre in a rush.

There is ALWAYS room to improve at EVERY business but over all I love my apartment and LOVE the location.Angel is a GREAT lead, he shows his care for the property thru his work and the way he interacts with the residents. I enjoy seeing him when he comes in for work orders. His smile is contagious (his cute chubby cheeks and dipples are great to see) His knowledge is on point and seems to genuine care about the residents homes.Ramon is an AMAZING asst. manager and handles all my concerns with tack and professional matter every time and I am ALOT for a resident to handle.

Great Sqr. ft. for $. Vaulted ceilings, decent cabinets, fans in all rooms, hiking trails, natural spring nearby, large decks, basketball and volleyball courts nearby. You have to be willing to put up with some bugs. Were right next to a rivr and woods. Nothing crazy just buy some bug killer and be proactive. People party hard at the pool. Sometime late at night. Maybe your into that. Maintenance workers are polite but they have to follow the rules and try the cheapest fix first.

Took a tour here. They didnt have the floorplan I was looking for but everyone in the office was really nice. If something comes available, id definitely love here.

After moving away for a couple of years I had to come back to my San Marin family. To start off, Dez and Alex in the front office literally have gone above and beyond to accommodate me and make my transition back as easy as possible. I have also been VERY pleasantly surprised by maintenance (Angel, Maximo, Daniel….there are two more and they have been excellent…sorry I don’t remember your names). Yes there have been problems that have arisen in my apartment after all it’s not a new build but they were all handled within 30 mins to 2 hours. Capable staff…affordable price…no complaints
