I lived here for about 3 months and I didnt have any problems in general and I really like this place and its location and the staff are very friendly and helpful and there are nice events. Where I stayed they seemed to have divided the single room into 2 and there were 2 of us staying but since the bathroom was on the side of the room where I was sleeping the rooms were letting in a lot of noise and I couldnt sleep because of the sound of the hair dryer and the bathroom. The insulation should be better in these rooms or my roommate could hear the sound while I was watching TV. Other than that the location is really good and I have to say the finance department is called Harrington Housing where I work and the guys who look after the finance are terrible... If you are 1 day late with your payment they threaten to sue you right away it was unbelievable

The Hive has really turned around! Management is responsive, maintenance takes care of work orders quickly, and it’s a small complex so it’s very personable and neighborhood-ly. It’s no biggie to just take the bus to campus also or on nice days ride my bike. I also like how parking is super cheap compared to my other options. There’s reviews about bugs but I’ve literally never actually seen one and I know pest control comes out once a week so as long as you let the office know it gets taken care of! Overall good.

This place feels like home, close to campus, very quiet area which is great. would not have wanted another experience during my three years at UT. great and caring leasing managers who care about our comfort. maintenance is always on point!!!

I lived in a townhouse through the summer and had no issues at all. The staff was new and really trying to take care of the residents. Very friendly and responsive.

There have been so many awesome improvements with the new owners.All of the washers and dryers work and the laundry room has never looked better.They are installing ceiling fans with lights and ventilation fans in the bathroom in our apartments now which is a cool upgrade!The new gated parking is awesome too! Its nice knowing I live in a gated community.

These apartments are nice and conveniently located. The best part however, is the the staff & repair crew. They are super nice and responsive. Andrew -- the apartment manager -- is very friendly and helpful, always trying to make sure that we have a good experience. Were moving, but would stay here if we could.

3401 at Red River Apartments was a great home for me. The property management and maintenance crew take great care of their residents. This is what really made it feel like home. Having a caring staff makes apartment living a lot more enjoyable.The apartments themselves are older but updated on the inside. For the price and location, it is hard to beat this place.

I normally don’t do this, but as I’m moving out of 3401 after finishing school, I thought that it would be worth throwing out a recommendation to other people looking for an apartment.The staff at 3401 are what really makes this place as awesome as it is. Maintenance takes care of stuff in a very timely manner, office staff is friendly and helpful, and every little thing I’ve ever mentioned has been addressed promptly and fairly.My one bedroom floorplan was super cute, and when I needed to transfer for personal reasons, the office worked with me and got it taken care of. The pool is really cute and they have events with free food (and beer 🍻) all the time.As far as the bad goes, my only complaint is the color of the walls, but I rescued it with a tapestry and some cute decor (and I brought some additional lighting for my personal tastes). Oh, and sometimes it smells like weed in the common areas, but that’s just living in Austin. Haha3401 is in a super super super great location if you’re a grad student like I was. Best bang for my buck I could find in the campus area.

Had a wonderful experience at this housing facility. The manager was wonderful to work with, and all of the staff was so friendly and always so welcoming. They were very quick to help us with us with problems. Very great price for the area. And with the great interior’s you can’t go wrong staying here! Such a wonderful experience overall and would definitely recommend them to all friends looking to move to the area.

Edited review for the new ownership! The property is much more professionally run, and all the improvements they have done are great, especially just recently enclosing the property with fences, making it even safer and tougher on package thieves. Small issues have been fixed swiftly by the maintenance staff. We really like the new staff!

I lived here for 2 years and really enjoyed it. Management was generally receptive and maintenance was always excellent (shout out to Bertillo!). The apartments are pretty nice (maybe a touch on the expensive side, but reasonable) and in a great location for a graduate student. Only thing to watch for is the parking situation; they were stingy about guest passes and frequently changed their policies, so be sure to ask.

Ive lived at 3401 Red River St for 8 months and its a very nice and safe place. The management is really on top of things and the maintenance team is always on the task. The location is very convenient as its right between a major grocery store and the UT campus. Highly recommended for graduate students at UT.

Honestly after moving into Austin I had a hard time finding a place to live that had a decent price point and nice amenities to go alongI read some reviews from the past but decided to give it a shot and from the look of it after the new management took over there’s a lot more to be grateful about living in herePlus the pool is awesome
