My roommate and I just moved into our apartment this week and so far we love this community.The leasing agents and maintenance staff are extremely timely, friendly, respectful and very good at what they do.Brittany, the property manager with her warm and professional service made our application experience precise and move in as smooth as it could ever be.The community has a clean and sound environment leaving you glad to call this place home.The community is also located in a prime location which is ideal for our lifestyle. The property is a well maintained building of its era of time. We both highly would recommend this property to anyone to place as an option on their list of apartment home search.

Janie Gonzalez showed us the property today and she was just the sweetest thing. So knowledgeable about the history of the building and the surrounding area. She didn’t make us feel rushed at all, she let us take our time and let us ask all the questions. Best tour guide we’ve had during our apartment touring journey. As far as the property goes, it’s gorgeous, clean and in a perfect location downtown. My bestie and I cannot wait 🩷

Stayed here for three nights Thanksgiving weekend in the pent house, as I was visiting Dallas and going to NFL Thanksgiving game...The location of this establishment for us couldnt have been more perfect. Located in the heart of downtown Dallas, it gave us, the perfect opportunity to walk almost anywhere in the city, and that in which we couldnt reach, was a short drive away.The apartment building itself was fairly nice once entering, with an extra layer of security, both to access main door, room doors, and elevators. Security, area, and people we ran into all made for a pretty safe feeling environment.Noise levels were low, couldnt hear neighbors at all and had great nights rest, while, also a great sense of privacy from others.Room itself was one of the coolest places weve stayed, while, still had room for growth. It was two stories, plentiful spacious, equipped with mostly everything youd need, two showers, multiple beds, outer deck with the most incredible view of the city, and a hot tub.However, the ceiling was leaking and looked as if at some point it might come through. The hot tub had some broken spots, and it took an entire day to even think about heating up, the downstairs shower didnt work, at all, and the elevator regularly didnt want to read the ID, and or, made you do it multiple times (once, we thought we were stuck.)When all said and done, Id absolutely stay here again, and judging from an airbnb stay, I cannot speak for those living long term as regular tenants, but, I believe it safe, secure, and located in an awesome area. But, the building in general is in dire need of some TLC and maintenance, before, the potential of such an awesome place starts to fade away...

My daughter just moved in and the friendly environment from the leasing office managers Brittany and Janie was top tier!! Definitely a perfect spot located in the heart of downtown Dallas. Nice amenities also and great places to eat near the apartment.

I haven’t lived here too long but this building is really a great place to be. There’s people of every age and the people who have been here for years are always so welcoming. Brittany and Janie make it so easy as well. I made the move in process so difficult on Janie but she helped me with grace and was understanding and kind through the whole process. Brittany always has a smile on her face and is always willing to help on a minutes notice. They put together great events that get everyone together and the comradely of this building is better because of it. DPL is amazing and I highly recommend anybody coming to dallas to check it out.

I have been living at Dallas Power and Lights in Downtown Dallas for about a year now, and I cant say enough positive things about my experience here! The staff at Dallas Power and Lights are absolutely amazing. They are always friendly, attentive, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure resident satisfaction. Whether I have a question, concern, or need assistance, they are always ready to help with a smile. Their professionalism and dedication truly make a difference in creating a comfortable living environment. Overall, my experience living at Dallas Power and Lights has been exceptional. I have been living in DPL for 2 years now, its truly a gem and great place to live. Staff is amazing. Maintenance team is very friendly and are FAST when you need something repaired or replaced. Very chill and quite community. They keep it very clean and always making improvements.Location is prefect. Youre in the center of downtown, yet peaceful due to the location. Great restaurants and nightlife within steps.I plan on staying here for a long time!

I started my apartment hunt in July for a September move in. I already lived in a small studio downtown and was looking for an upgraded apartment in an historic building. I tour about 6 different properties before I visited DP&L Flats. First of all, I love that they accept walk-ins. Although summers are busy and challenging for leasing offices, Janie Gonzalez was so friendly and professional. She answered all of my questions and concerns. I actually had another offer from a different propertythat I was considering, but Janie and her team went over and beyond to earn my stay. Janie held my hand throughout the process. And my move in was seamless. I love everything about my new apartment….value, location, beautiful building, square footage, amenities and most importantly the professional and friendly staff. I’m so happy to call DP&L Flats my new home.

Let’s start with Janie, she is beautiful, helpful, and just overall one of the best leasing agents I have ever dealt out of the 6+ apartments I have lived in throughout the 5 states I have lived in! Allen the assistant manager is great as well, always keeps you updated and will get the job done. I signed a 6 month lease originally my lease ends in March, it was a no brainer to resign for a year. If you want a well priced beautiful spacious apartment downtown Dallas, the DPL Flats are the place to live.

My wife and I have lived here for 6 wonderful years. The building is gorgeous, historic, and filled with great amenities. The neighborhood has so much within walking distance (including a brewery IN THE BUILDING!). Museums, Sports, Restaurants, Parks, historic trolleys, Dart Light Rail, AT&T Discovery District. You name it. Downtown is really coming shining right now! On top of all that, the staff are super friendly and take care of you like family (shout out to Brittany, Janie, Allen, Curtis, and Sam!).

DPL Flats is an amazing spot to live in Dallas the location is perfect, right in the heart of downtown Dallas. The building, view and amenities are amazing and the employees are wonderful! I would like to personally recommend speaking with Janie Gonzalez if your looking to move in! Her impeccable customer service and understanding of her clients and making sure their specific needs are met is next level. The whole process of finding an apartment in Dallas was incredibly smooth and relaxing thanks to her and DPL. Go with DPL Flats if your looking for apartments or places to live in Dallas!!

The building by itself is amazing. Finished in 1931, it has tons of antique charm while being up to date on technology.The management is icing on the cake, far and away the best management Ive ever seen in a residential community. Very friendly, accommodating and easy to deal with. From the top down the management team is very resident oriented and helpful.The few maintenance issues weve had generally have been handled within a few hours of submitting our maintenance request.The views are also amazing! The DP&L building is right next door to AT&T and the Discovery District. So many restaurants and stores within walking distance.This is without a doubt the best place weve ever lived, hands down.

Ive been here for a year and love this place. The apartment/loft style environment is what I envision when renting. It is truly a great place to live. My view inside my place is something great to wake up to every day. If you are looking for somewhere with hogh ceilings then this place will meet your needs at a decent price. Also the location is right next to the AT&T district. There’s a food court as well as the giant screen to watch entertainment on such as sports and visuals. AT&T also hires security so the area is well maintenanced and safe. Lastly the staff cares. Allen (who is the head manager) and his maitenance crew are all awesome. If there is ever an issue, they will do the best they can address your needs. They want to help. Maintenance typically gets a request done in a timely manner. Overall, I really do not have any complaints at this place.

Pros:- Management is great- Maintenance is 10/10 (we love Curtis), could not speak more highly about the maintenance team- No crime at all as far as weve lived here (about a year and a half), despite being in the middle of downtown- Workout room is well cared for and clean even if a bit small- Decently thick walls- Great location for downtown workersCons:- Pool deck can be a bit noisy on the weekends (big surprise lol)- Hallway can smell like trash sometimes thanks to goober neighbors not closing the trash chute- Parking garage is cramped, just make sure to choose a good spotOverall: This apartment is best for people working within downtown who need a safe option that wont break the budget. Would highly recommend to someone just moving into Dallas. Many of my issues with the building are either personal opinions or problems other buildings would also have. Everything else, DPL does a great job at.

Dallas Power and Light Flats is truly an exceptional living community! From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me warmly and made me feel right at home. Their professionalism and attentiveness throughout my stay were top-notch, always ready to assist with any request.The apartments themselves are spacious, with many different floor plans, I particularly loved the stunning views of the city from my window, making each day a joy to wake up to.The community facilities are still in the process of being upgraded. The fitness center was well-equipped and kept in immaculate condition, motivating me to maintain an active lifestyle. Additionally, new game room, entertainment center and looking as if it going to the place to relax, vent, and release after a long day work.One aspect that stood out to me was the strong sense of community among the residents. I quickly made new friends and felt like I belonged from day one. The management teams from Corline, the new manager Britney, the assistant manager, Allen and Leasing agent Tempiste are second to none. And let’s not forget Curtiss and Sam and Jose who maintain the upkeep efforts in fostering a friendly and inclusive environment are truly commendable.In conclusion, Dallas Power and Light Flats exceeded all my expectations as a living community. The staff, the amenities, and the sense of community they provide make it an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a vibrant and upscale living experience in Dallas. I cant recommend it enough!

Where do I begin. So having spent most of my life in the metroplex I’ve always wanted to live in Downtown Dallas - all the history, the tall buildings, being in the middle of everything that goes on. When I started looking around last October, I hadn’t found ‘that feeling’ I was searching for in what I wanted to be my last apartment before I buy a house, until by luck I found Nick Ferrara of aptamigo on the web who introduced me to DP&L Flats. I knew immediately that the wonderful art deco style, the perfect location, the thoughtful staff, especially Janie and of course the ideal unit, had what I was searching for. I’m a lucky dude. Now when I finish my day I am very satisfied that I get to hang my hat at DP&L Flats. I highly recommend anyone check them out. And look at the tree they put up for Christmas 🎄 !Andrew

Ive lived here for a year now, in three different apartments. Each apartment was great, no real major issues. Management is fantastic. AJ and Jennifer are extremely professional and accommodating. AJ even makes time to cut up a bit with my 5 year old when we come down to the office for a visit. The building is kept very well maintained by a fantastic maintenance staff, and the hallways are always clean. The parking garage is also well maintained, trash is regularly collected from around parking spaces and disposed of. No real issues with pet waste in or around the immediate vicinity of the property except for occasionally right out of the front door but thats not really the fault of the apartment management or their staff.The building is quiet, comfortable, and secure with only residents with a fob being able to make their way around the upper levels (above the second floor in the browder building, 1sr floor in the commerce building). Access to common areas is restricted to the public after business hours and on the weekends so only residents can access the interior of the building.Rent is comparable to other high rise luxury complexes in the downtown area, parking fees are reasonable when considering the convenience, security, and alternate options being scarce.Prior poor reviews were likely from prior management or were posted by Tenants who violated their lease or other rules, or by people who didnt pass the stringent application process.Overall, Im extremely pleased with our first place to call home in the DFW area.AT&T employees looking to rent here: just do it! They have AT&T fiber available, and its right next door to HQ.

It has a black marble base, with brick and terra cotta trim for rest of the façade. It served as home to the Dallas Power & Light Company, later Texas Utilities (TXU). In 1980, DP&L bought the neighboring Continental Supply Co. Building at 1512 Commerce, which was built in 1903. This building was later home to Texaco Oil Co. The buildings emptied when the utility, now TXU, moved to new offices.Dallas Power and Light Building is a City of Dallas Landmark.

I have been looking for an apartment downtown for over a month now. Jennifer at the leasing office has been an absolute treasure to work with. Yes, the office is very busy during the day but Jennifer went above and beyond to assist me while also assisting residents with what they needed. Jennifer was able to show me the building and I completely fell in love. My experience so far with DP&L has been unlike anything else downtown. Thank you Jennifer!
