    Been living here now for three months, the new management is very attentive- Victor is approachable & professional, Tony also does a great job as security. Building is both charming and modern, best view is at the rooftop!

    I love these apartments! I want to shout out Miggy Moncada. I had struggled with getting assistance for a bit but the second I told Miggy she was on it and had resolved the issue in less than an hour. It’s leasing agents like her who make a differences in the community at 1221. Great apartments, quiet, kind neighbors, awesome amenities. Can’t wait to renew.

    I have been a resident here for a while and I have seen the challenges during the management transition. I love that they have upgraded the gate/building access system with license plate readers. License plate readers is something you don’t see at complexes in the downtown area. This shows me that the owners care. I also love that it’s Bluetooth access as well!

    I have been here over 2 years and I have seen the change with Placemakr. The new General Manager in place Ralph, is much more approachable and you can tell he truly cares. I had a small list of items needing attention in my unit and they were are handled in a timely manner. He even followed up with me to ensure my expectations were met.

    The apartments are older but everything is concrete and I love it. It is easier to clean, more private, and rarely any noise concerns. I recently had a one off incident where my bike was stolen off of my balcony. This was very concerning for me but Jovany worked with me to handle a security concern. He also helped me transfer to a bigger apartment that would be better for me and my significant other. Thanks to his constant support and help I feel better knowing that my family is safe when I am not at home.

    Have been living here for a bit and it is honestly the best apartment I’ve ever lived in. The staff is wonderful and super helpful. They have so many community events so you can get to know your neighbors and meet some new friends. The apartments themselves are top notch and I absolutely love the industrial vibe. The amenities are so great. Two pools and two gyms! Gated community with which helps make me feel safe and a parking garage to protect my vehicle from hail. Super dog friendly. The location is unmatched! Right on the riverwalk and a less than 10 minute walk to the historical Pearl district! And last but not least, David the maintenance man is quick to respond, friendly, and takes care of any and all issues you have! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

    Been here for 11/2 months already and love everything about the apartments. Maintenance is super nice, too—very knowledgeable maintenance crew. The leasing staff is also very friendly and welcoming. The only reason I’m giving this four stars was upon move-in; my unit wasn’t “ready” for move-in. They had a cleaning crew go in and clean the entire apartment on move-in day, and as you can imagine, the apartment didn’t smell as nice. The unit I moved into was vacant for about a month, and somehow they couldn’t get it ready then. I signed the lease way in advance. Also, keys and paperwork were not prepared at move-in either. I had to wait for them to make copies of my keys and have the paperwork printed. It could have been just not a good day at the leasing office. Not the best experience moving in, but everything else has been great so far. Besides my initial move-in issues, everything else has been great, and I will update this review to hopefully five stars upon moving out if everything keeps going great as it has been so far!

    I’ve been a resident for about a year now and the 1221 team has always helped to make our stay the best. The maintenance crew has always kept the place looking nice with their hard work. Thank you David for helping us out with our brief AC issue. He was quick and checked every possible issue.I highly recommend staying here. Amazing views of downtown and conveniently close to everything you need.

    Living at 1221 lofts has its perks of being near to a lot of cool attractions.Really cool amenities, animal friendly and the community is really great.I love how the staff really does make all the residents feel so welcoming. The maintenance is always a Win if there’s any trouble they come out ASAP to fix anything I need.

    My wife and I have been here for a little bit over a year now (we have the 18 month lease), and from the initial tour up to now it has been easily the best apartment complex we have lived in. The staff is incredible, and they are always thinking of new ways to bring people together and create a great community atmosphere. The apartment itself is gorgeous the design is super unique and industrial, and is very clean. Maintenance usually gets the job done same day and the only reason they wouldnt is because there are hundreds of apartment complexes so for minor fixes they may take one day but that’s no problem. The amenities are second to none. Two awesome pools rooftop and ground, a CrossFit style gym that people would probably pay $80 a month for, dog parks, courtyards, the list goes on. It’s been a true blessing , thank you 1221!!

    Great Staff! Very professional and communicative.EDIT after 16 months:Pros; amazing CrossFit gym and secondary cardio gym, great pools, great staff, great apartment events, great people, central location, walking distance to Pearl and downtown. Well constructed units. Cant forget the rooftop poolLove the staff they are awesome and very communicative and professional. Some turnover has occurred but I personally have not encountered any issues at all. Make sure to head to the community events if you live there!!Con’s:nitpick but they don’t clean the gym enough, I’ve seen them power wash the floors maybe like 3-4 times since I moved in and the wet wipes are always kinda low even though I and others submitted maintenance requests. They treat it like a barely used apartment amenity rather than a CrossFit gym where people are pouring sweat on the floor daily 3x a day. Not really the buildings fault but there are a lot of residents who never put their weights back and it’s Infuriating for me and the HIIT instructor to be the only ones putting things where they belongThe other thing is the homeless problem, again, it’s a problem all over downtown so can’t judge the staff, they do a good job shoooing them off but the space by the highway creates a lot of uncomfortable encounters. I had a ground unit with an outdoor deck and multiple times had to have a homeless person remove or have to tell them myself when security doesn’t answer. Lastly, while the concrete walls and double paned windows make for a nice and quiet room, the plumbing issues are fairly persistent. Expect a few water shut off notices. The facility issues are negligible to me since it’s an older building and the better appliances and fixtures they invested in years ago make for less routine maintenance requests than other places I’ve stayed who cheap out on everything.Overall, I really loved staying here it was a really great experience, but make sure it’s a good fit.

    I want to leave a review of 1221 Lofts, focusing on the excellent work and friendliness of everyone who works there. I want to say that the manager, Stela, is an outstanding person who keeps the property in top-notch condition. Jovany and everyone at the leasing office are incredibly kind and always have the best attitude.I have been living in this building for almost a year now, and its the best decision I could have made. I recommend it to all my friends, family, and anyone reading this review.Above all, David in maintenance is exceptionally kind, does his job very well, and always goes above and beyond. He is very detail-oriented, always friendly. He ensures that everything is perfect, so residents feel comfortable, and all issues are resolved.

    While I wasnt present for the repair this time, I had this issue a couple weeks ago and requested maintenance not wake me as I work overnights. David was excellent and while I did wake up as he entered, he was very respectful of my request and I was able to sleep throughout the rest of the process. To top it all off, he came by and followed up with us later since he was working on another issue nearby just to make sure that everything was working properly!

    1221 Broadway Lofts has been my best living experience and I have lived all over the world. The modern style lofts, the location, and the staff are all second to none. I frequently move for my job and dread leaving here. **ADDITION** I just want to give a heartfelt thank you to Mr. DAVID from the maintenance crew. I requested for an item to be fixed while I was out of town. He fixed that then went the extra mile and updated a few more items around the home. He is always kind when you see him as well as the rest of the staff. Thank you.

    Obviously the apartment and amenities are nice because it’s a luxury apartment complex. But the community and the staff are by far the best thing about living here. Every other apartment complex I’ve lived in I’ve had rude neighbors and a staff that is clearly money driven and not community driven, managing to be both overbearing and yet also rude and unhelpful at the same time. When I first visited these apartments, the difference became clear immediately. The vibe is just much more laid back. The staff seems to actually care, and everyone is nice and polite. There are a lot of free events put on by the complex and we also get timely alerts about any incidents in the area, which is highly valuable. It’s safer than most gated apartment complexes because it’s almost impossible to enter without a key fob (no gate codes). And of course the amenities are great, especially the lifting/boxing gym downstairs, which I absolutely love and is the envy of all of my friends. Not to mention you’re in walking distance of the Pearl and Roadmap Brewery. I’ve been here for over a year now, and can honestly say there’s nowhere else in the city I’d rather live.

    Living here has been nothing short of amazing! Theres a reason why theyve worn Best Apartment Community in San Antonio three years in a row! The location is prime... 10 min walk to the pearl 2 min drive to downtown. The units are clean (have not seen one bug in our apartment) and are a super trendy industrial vibe with concrete floors and walls. They host tons of apartment community events that are creative and fun! Management is professional, responsive, and always helpful. Cindy was our leasing agent and we love her. Cant say enough good things about this pace!

    I’ve been here for a while and it’s a nice place to live!Pretty quiet and well maintained property, friendly office staff(Miggy is the best), great amenities, and so convenient to all of the great places to go in the pearl/downtown area. The appliances could definitely use an upgrade - But hopefully that will happen soon.You get the perks and views from living in the Pearl area without the crowds of tourists you’d get from living in the Can Plant.     1221 lofts are by far, hands down, the best apartment home I’ve lived in! The staff here is outstanding, and the location is the best. From day one, Silicia has been amazing to me. She is so welcoming. In addition, she made my loft move super easy and stress free. Silicia made me feel satisfied with not only the community, but also with my decision to live there. Im quite appreciative of their efforts because they make living in an apartment enjoyable and convenient.

    When we first came in to do a tour 2 years ago I automatically knew this was home. I highly recommend living here!Living here means centrally located to everything. A nice walk to the pearl and lots of places to eat and a good walk to the downtown river walk.

    Its a little pricey for San Antonio, but youre paying for location. Youre .6 miles from the Pearl and 1.2 from Downtown plus there is a bar downstairs. The management has been very helpful to me, maintenance was responsive and took care of the issues within 24 hours. The neighbors are really great, plus we have our own dog park and our own running club. Two gyms, two pools, access to the Riverwalk, gated garage and the overall design inside and out of this complex is beautiful.

    If your looking for true urban living 1221 Lofts are the place to live. I lived here for two different terms within a 10 yr span. I had to relocate for work … if ever I do move back to SA you already know I’ll be at 1221 all over again. #youcancheckoutbutyoucanneverleave 1221 is walking distance to the Pearl and literally steps from river. If your interest is going out till the break of dawn at the multitude of neighborhood night life , exploring the SAMA museum or living a quiet life reading books in a quaint nook along the river or even “ on campus “ this is the place to live. Did I mention the rooftop pool ? It speaks for itself. You can go up there at amy time and know you won’t leave without making friends. Neighbors are genuinely good people. There is something to do for all walks of life. The surrounding bar life/ entertainment offers many choices as there seems to be new development popping up on each corner. As far as safety is concerned I have never had a bad experience. It is downtown so you will see homeless peeps but that comes with the territory of living downtown …… another great amenity are the concrete walls and floors. You never have to worry about making too much noise …….Did I mention the 1221 staff is unrealistically amazing. I was out of town for an unexpected time frame and Roslyn was so kind and went out of her way to water my plants for me. Giovanni is also just as amazing if ever I had a question he would take care of it right away without me having to call back and fourth ( I tend to have many questions.) Gio is definitely on top of his game. Salicia is also extremely knowledgeable of contracts and takes care of business when there is a billing question …. Last but not least I will mention the maintenance team , work orders are always high priority and taken care of on the first visit and never leave a mess when working on something …. This team os one of a kind and deserves 100 stars ⭐️. Thank you team 1221 I will truely miss my #1221downtownliving life ! No other like i.

    I am going to my second year living at 1221 Broadway Lofts, I even moved out and moved back in! It has been the best experience in my life concerning my living situation. I was in a very dark place, going through a divorce and when I got here I made immediate friends that have become family members who I love with all my heart. The staff is the most amazing group of individuals who are always pleased to help out in every situation that arises when it comes to my needs. Roslyn, Silicia, and Jovanny and Estelle have been extremely helpful in all aspects of my experience here. Especially when it comes to receiving packages, they go above and beyond. I recommend 1221 to anybody looking or thinking about moving into the San Antonio downtown area. Take it from me, you will not regret it.

    This is an update of a previous review. Quite a few things have changed since then. 1221 management have been responsive to my concerns and addressed them. For one, an extra piece of hardware was added to he main door to prevent it from breaking again. It has been locking properly since they made that change. I have been seeing two different security people monitoring the property on a regular basis. I am satisfied with how 1221 resolved my complaints. Bottom line, its a great place to live. The modern feel, rooftop pool, large dog park, and friendly neighbors are a few of the things I love about 1221. It also is prime location, especially during Fiesta.Previous review: This place is a safety disaster. Security is a joke. Lived here three months. The main entrance door has been broken since I moved in. Anyone can walk right in. And they do. Massive bike thefts. Even with U-locks. Motorcycle theft. Management still has done nothing. Office employees play dumb/useless. We pay way to much for this to happen. If youre looking to live downtown, choose the Can Plant. Lived there a year, and never had these problems. They have legit security.

    I lived at 1221 for about 5 and a half years. The floor plans are great given the size. The location cant be beat with plenty of attractions, scenic paths, and businesses within walking distance. The amenities are top notch - 2 pools (one of which is on the rooftop with an awesome view), garage parking, 2 gyms, open and community spaces, after hours package pickup, grilling options, and so much more. There is always something to do when you stay here.The best part about living here is the management. They go out of their way to know you on a first name basis and make sure everything is going good with you and your living situation. The maintenance is spot on and has a quick turnaround.I highly recommend this complex if youre looking for a location that lets you have some fun and make some memories!

    Given that I moved to San Antonio in 2013, previously lived at both Can Plant Residences and 1800 Broadway, and toured most other properties in the area, I can honestly say that 1221 Broadway Lofts is a step above the majority of options in the Pearl area. Ive lived at 1221 for over six months now and some of my favorite aspects of the property and living experience here include: 1) Concrete constructed units - this makes a huge difference in not hearing your neighbors when you sleep at night and is also environmentally friendly with the way my unit holds in consistent heat and A/C as needed. 2) Great property management and maintenance team that are responsive. 3) Massive common courtyards with beautiful landscaping that you will not find at any other property in the Pearl area. 4) Very dog friendly property with large upgraded dog park. 5) Two gyms with one outdoor/indoor gym for CrossFit & Olympic style work-out use. 6) Large indoor garage and plenty of parking on 1st floor dedicated guest/retail area. 7) Two pools, sky lounge, and plenty of spots for grilling and hanging out. 8) Great location on the River Walk; ease of access to highway and downtown; 30 second walk to Rosellas; 30 second walk to Luxury.Having worked in the commercial real estate industry for 10+ years, I can tell you that you will not find many apartment properties as well constructed and as high quality as 1221 Broadway Lofts in all of San Antonio in general. I never had any idea how much I would like the concrete apartment living prior to moving here, and its been a truly relaxing living experience.

    I have been a 1221 Lofts resident since the summer of 2017, and I can easily say that this has been the best apartment community I have ever lived in for several reasons. First and foremost, the staff are the best in the business. The Leasing Professional who helped me when I moved in, Miggy Moncada, was and is incredibly professional, helpful, patient, and dedicated to delivering the best service and community experience she can for the residents. She and the other staff go out of their way to make us feel at home and even plan awesome events for us year-round. Even all of my work orders are taken care of in 24 hours or less. I cant thank Miggy and the rest of the team enough for all they do. Another reason to love 1221 is the style of the complex itself. The units are beautiful and completely unique. The concrete walls and floors, exposed industrial piping and floor-to-ceiling windows are a few of the design features that give it an urban yet cozy feel. The location is also unbeatable. Its a 10-minute walk from the Pearl, its right on the Riverwalk, and its very close to downtown for leisure or work. One of the other things I absolutely love about 1221 is the sense of community. My neighbors are very friendly and helpful. A lot of my best friends in San Antonio started as neighbors of mine. If youre looking for a place to live that has the best staff, unique urban style, unbeatable value, and a great sense of community, then 1221 is the place for you!

    We’ve been living at 1221 Broadway for almost 2 years and it has been wonderful! Rosalyn has been helping us since the beginning and she is the best. There has been a recent change in maintenance and although the previous ones were great, the ones now are even better! Quiet, friendly, and safe community.

    Update (June 17, 2021): Its been a little over three years since I moved in to 1221 and I still love living here as much as i did when i first moved in. There really is no place like 1221 and I am so happy to call this home.Original Review:I have lived at 1221 for almost a year and a half and still love living here as much as I did on my first day. So much so that i just renwed for another 17 months. There are so many things to do right outside my door with SAMA and The Pearl in close proximity. Fiesta time is my absolute favorite time of year at 1221. The community at 1221 is unlike no other, everyone is nice and I have made some great friends. The 1221 staff is a huge reason as to why 1221 is so unique. Cindy, Samantha, Autumn and Miggy are always there to great you with a smile and are always accommodating to resident needs. They also hold resident events at least once a month which gives you a chance to meet fellow 1221ers. If you want to live in a unique apartment community that is not like your cookie cutter apartment community, then look no further.

    1221 is probably the best place to live in SA. The experience I had as a resident had been unlike any other. The residents are treated like family and the staff is centric to them. There are so many resident events, the neighbors become your friends and like family. Once you live there it always feels like home. Not mention how central you are to the Pearl and downtown life!

    1221 was on the short list for apartments during my search of the downtown area. The staff walked me through the property several times and provided me with complete information to help me make an informed decision. I chose another property that better supported my wants, but 1221 is the best overall value in the area. The main downside at 1221 is the kitchens and gyms which need upgrades to compete in the area. Other than that, I highly recommend checking them out and giving them the opportunity to earn your business.

    This 1221 experience has been truly a joy to live here. The maintenance staff are always courteous and respectful when coming and going completing requests in a timely fashion. The staff “all ladies” !!whoooohoooo” are amazing. No matter how many requests they are so gracious and kind to help. They just want your experience daily to be wonderful. The life of “lock & leave “ is right on track. The Riverwalk just a stone throws away is for every life style the cruise walker, the sniffer dagger, and the jogger, and of course the athlete runner!! Please love 1221 with the rest of the city residents!!!

    Ive been a resident at 1221 Broadway Lofts since 2015. Its an amazing community. We are located in the midst of everything happening in the downtown area. Downtown, the Pearl and even Southtown, are but a quick walk, scooter or Uber away. Riverwalk walks are beautiful and peaceful. I park my car on Friday night, and return to it on Monday morning.The onsite management team that takes care of us, is fantastic. They fixate on our overall living experience with socials, events and top notch customer service. Ask anyone who lives here. Its all about community!

    Ive seen complaints about the cost of living here..lol are you kidding, look around! This place is perfect for an active lifestyle. Right off the Rivetwalk! Great amenities, concrete walls, ceilings and floors, secure, nice landscapes, ..great bars and restaurants.. The Pearl, all within walking distance. If youre not a lazy bum that stays inside all day, then all of this and more will certainly justify the price to have all of this in your backyard.

    This place has many amenities not to mention the brewery bar and deli down stairs with friendly staff and the staff is very trustworthy as well. I lived here for a year and it was just the best experience being able to walk less than a block to get to the nicest part of The Riverwalk...esspecially during Christmas time the lights make it look really pretty. Living off of Broadway, I saw the whole parade for free if you live here you will definitely capture the essence of San Antonio. St Marys street is 3 minutes away with all of the historical neighborhoods and hip bars. I couldnt ask for more! If you love art just walk to the Art museum. Theres a doggy park and a ton of good restraunts. All of the people who live here are super cool. Theres no place better to live in the whole city than this!!!!!

    I lived at 1221 for over 2 yrs and loved it! Everything was so conveniently close. Cindy, Migee and Christian (manager at the time) were always so kind and thoughtful when we would see them. Any maintenance issues were always taken care of immediately so that was always nice.

    I was in search for a good apartment complex that’s close to my job and just a nice area.. which you can’t beat the location… the property manager Silicia was a great at showing me around the complex Which has a great court yard as well as a great.     Great place to live near great bars, restaurants, museums, etc. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice views of downtown San Antonio from the rooftop pool.

    Great place to live. Very timely and responsive maintenance and staff. Very beautiful and green public areas. Lots of vegetation. CrossFit gym open 24/7. Cant complain
