HIGHLY recommend Nick Cattuna to repair any washer and dryer issue you have. He knew exactly what was wrong, quoted a fair price and now our Samsung electric dryer sounds like it did the day we bought it. When he got into it, he spotted another issue and asked if we wanted to fix it as well so we didnt have to call him back out. Not at all pushy and very informative. Again, very honest and fair with pricing and diagnosis. When he left he cleaned everything up so well you would never know it had been worked on. Before you toss your washer or dryer, give Nick a try. Im sure he can get some additional life out of it. If I could give 6 stars, I would. Thank you Nick!

I was in need of a simple washer repair and came across The Washer and Dryer Guy by chance through Google searching. Im glad I ended up getting in touch with Nick. He is honestly one of the most professional and pleasant repairman Ive ever worked with. He squeezed me in the same day I called and he fixed exactly what I needed. through the whole process he was very open to questions and even spent 30 minutes after everything was complete showing me a lot of features on my washer that I didnt even know. He also gave me numerous recommendations for maintenance as well, which he didnt even need to but was happy to share. He really knows all of the ins and outs of washing machines, and went above and well beyond what I was expecting for a service call. Now my washer is up and running again. If I ever need my washer/dryer fixed Nick will be my first and only call.

Nick did an excellent job. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is meticulous and did a great job fixing our Samsung electric dryer. He diagnosed the failed parts, explained everything to me and replaced the parts in about two hours. I called him at the end of the day on a Friday and he returned my call first thing Monday morning. My dryer stopped working and not only did Nick answer my call, he was able to come out the next day. He had the parts he needed in his van and repaired my machine on the spot. He cleaned the inside of the dryer and showed me a few things we could do ourselves to prevent future issues. Since my machines are 12 years old and have never had maintenance, we did that too. Our dryer vents needed cleaning and Nick was responsive to our inquiry. He scheduled an appointment next day and did an amazing job cleaning our 40+ foot dryer ventilation, along with the dryer itself. He also repaired the connection at the wall, which was damaged. He provided advice on how to maintain the line going forward and how often it needed to be serviced. We will definitely be using him again!

Nick was superb. He responded to my call within hours and scheduled my service the very next day. Nick delivered superb customer service, was timely for our appointment, personable and honest. He quickly diagnose my LG front loader washing machine problem, explained what was needed and the cost to perform the work. He did not attempt to up-sell me on parts given the age of the machine. Additionally, he did maintenance on my LG dryer by cleaning the vent thoroughly and replacing the vent hose. I would definitely recommend Nick to repair washers and dryers.

He fixed my dryer on the same day during the same visit and arrived within the 2 hour window that he said he would! Amazing. I write very few reviews for service - only when I HAVE TO because the service was THAT exceptional. Just received that kind of service from Nick. Our washer stopped draining yesterday out of the blue...after googling and reading the glowing reviews for The Washer and Dryer Guy, didnt hesitate to call Nick today. Since he was nearby at the time, he was able to head over to our house right away to take a look. In no time, Nick diagnosed the problem (lid switch had to be replaced) and fixed it with a new part that he had on hand. First class repair service and an incredibly helpful, experienced professional! I am so glad to have found a go to guy for for any future appliance problems I may encounter.

Nick is the man. I do not believe I could have found anyone possessing more knowledge or having more customer service skills than Nick. Our two year old Samsung dryer had a bad power board. Many repair guys had no interest in repairing the unit. Nick did not hesitate and had the problem diagnosed in just a few minutes. When he ordered the replacement control board, he was assured it was the right part.. Once the new board arrived he made the trip to my to my home only to discover the parts house had sent the wrong part. Nick kept his cool and ordered another control board. Once the new control board arrived Nick had the dryer repaired in 5 minutes. I will recommend Nick to anyone looking for a repair guy that is knowledgeable and one that can be trusted. Short version: Friendly, knowledgeable/informative, and on-time/easy to schedule with. Cant ask for more! Long version: I called to get our broken dryer looked at and had a great experience with Nick. He gave me a 2-hour time window to hold on my calendar a few days in advance (much better than the 8am-12pm and 12pm-5pm most places give), and called approximately 20 minutes prior to arrival so that I could get home from work in time to let him in and not have to wait around at the house which was much appreciated! He had me text him a photo of the sticker inside my dryer in advance of my appointment so he would be able to come prepared with some parts that might fix my problem once he diagnosed it. Luckily it was as simple as that - he quickly diagnosed the problem, checked his truck to retrieve the appropriate part, explained to me exactly what had gone wrong and how it all works, and gave me a quote for the grand-total price of the replacement part/work before he did anything so I could make an informed decision. He replaced the part on the spot (and with an actual LG part to match my dryer, not an off-brand piece that might crap out sooner - which I greatly appreciate!). He was very thorough and even went outside to check that our vent was venting properly from the house - just to check for us while he was there! And even with all that thoroughness - he was in and out in an hour! I will definitely be calling Nick for regular preventative maintenance on our washer/dryer/vents from here on out so that we can avoid our initial problem in the future. A pleasure to work with!

Nick was very friendly and professional. He was able to come out to the house quickly and was on time. Our washing machine ended up needing a part that cost more than what we paid for the machine, and we ultimately decided to just buy a new one. Nick gave us advice on what kind of machine to get and what brands he found worked best. He also gave tips on how to prevent the damage from happening again. We would definitely call him again if needed.

Our experience with The Washer and Dryer Guy (Nick) was wonderful! We called him on a Monday and he was at our house Tuesday morning. Nick is very professional and pleasant. He checked out our washer, diagnosed the likely problem and had our washer working in minutes! He is open to coming back for an additional appointment (with no service charge) within 30 days of his first visit if needed. He did not seem rushed or annoyed like some servicemen can come across. He took a picture of the model number of our washer in case parts needed to be ordered in the future. He owns his own business and you can definitely feel the difference with his customer service and care as opposed to bigger companies. He offered to speak with my husband at length to describe what he thought the problem with our washer was. I would absolutely recommend Nick and this business to anyone in the Triangle. I dont typically write reviews for services but felt compelled to leave one for Nick. He provided unbelievable customer service when he came out to repair my dryer this afternoon. I wish he fixed more than washers and dryers because I would like to call him for any future household repair. He showed up on time, made an assessment, explained the problem and was upfront about the costs. He wasnt pushy at all and gave me lots of advice about maintaining my dryer going forward. He also happily answered some questions I had about my washing machine and even did a quick test for me, free of charge. He is a super nice guy. I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone else looking for washer/dryer repair - you will not find anyone that offers better customer service or lower prices.

Our experience with Nick was by-far the best repair service we ever received!Our washer stopped draining and rinsing last evening. After a decent attempt to fix it, we called (4) repair services. Since it was late in the evening, we did not expect anyone to come over right away, but left messages with all of them.Nick was the first (and, only) reply and it was first thing in the morning. He scheduled us for 2-4PM and called 20 minutes before so that I was able to work until that time.It took him about 5 minutes to diagnose the problem and luckily, it was a minor fix - the lid switch had to be replaced. Nick explained that he did not have the part because there were 4 or 5 other cases within the last week that needed the same repair. But, he went to purchase one and came back in less than an hour. The machine was fixed in no time! Then, he noticed that one of the water hoses was leaking, which we were planning to replaced. Nick offered to put in a new set, charging us only for the part. This saved my husband time and probable frustration since being a handyman is not his strongest point ;-).Nick is extremely pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and helpful. I felt he went out-of-his way to make sure everything was done correctly to our satisfaction, explaining why and what he was doing. Another important factor is that the fees were very, very reasonable.We will definitely contact Nick again for any repairs (he does other appliances, too), and will not hesitate to recommend him to our friends.Thanks, Nick. Nick is a master of his craft. We had a very unusual leak - he discovered a penny wedged into the underside of one of the tubes - The fact that he specializes in washers & dryers, combined with his incredible resourcefulness and patience, allows him to detect issues that others might overlook. Nick came by this week to look at our whirlpool washer. Had a good feeling that this washer was going to be garbage, however wanted to see if it was able to be fixed. Nick came right on time, and gave a courtesy call which was highly appreciated. He looked over the washer. He was honest and doesnt force a sale on you. It would of been over $1,000 to get it fixed. He was very honest, gave great opinions on washers, and explained everything in detail. He is a local business owner to which is great. He even offered to help after the fact on finding a washer. Nick came to our rescue when our washer broke right after Christmas. Sears could not come until almost a week after I called. Nick was available to come the next day. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.Nick was courteous and knowledgable. He offered to clean our dryer vent while he was here. Sears supposedly had cleaned the vent when they were here fixing my dryer a few months before. Nick moved the dryer and showed me a huge pile of lint! Nick spent over an hour cleaning out the duct.I raved about Nick at a New Years Eve party with my neighbors. Shortly afterward, one of them had a problem and she called Nick, who was able to help her. I highly recommend Nick if you need an appliance repaired.

All of the other reviews are correct, Nick is first class. Ive had several bad experiences with appliance repair and installation folks, but not with Nick. Ill definitely call him if I need help again.I have a 4 year old Maytag dishwasher that wasnt draining right. Nick took it apart and figured out that the pump was on the way out. He also noted that my handle was on its last leg as well. After calling his parts supplier, he came back in to tell me that a pump was about $250, but that he found a dishwasher at Lowes for $260, should I prefer to go in that direction. He also took the time to walk me through installing it myself, which Ill definitely do. Thanks Nick. Have no fear if you use The Washer and Dryer Guy.

I highly recommend The Washer and Dryer Guy. Nick (the owner and sole employee) was courteous, prompt, professional, and super helpful! I had a problem with my washer, and he immediately identified the cause and ordered the necessary replacement part. He kept me apprised of the parts status while it was being shipped and he installed it as soon at it arrived. We were not kept waiting at all. I will certainly give Nick a call if I have another problem with my washer or dryer!

Our washer stopped draining and I went through the process youre supposed to go through to check the drain filter/motor. Nick came out the next day, turned on the machine, and could tell we had a bad motor based on the sound it was making. Because he only works on washer/dryers, he had the part we needed in his van and made the repair the same day! He answered all of my question, worked quickly, and was very friendly. If you need your washer or dryer fixed, Nick should be your guy.

Nick is fantastic. We have called him twice for different machines over the past year. He is our go-to guy for washer/dryer issues. He came out to look at our fairly new washing machine last week. After checking it over thoroughly he narrowed down the problem to a circuit board. Unfortunately that board cost nearly as much as a new machine which we decided to go for instead of the fix. He was beyond honest about the potential fix and then took the time to help us figure out the best type of new machine for our family use. He also pointed out upcoming issues with the old machine and gave us advice on how avoid these issues with the new machine. He was on time, polite, honest and patient with our obnoxiously happy dog and kids running in and out of the house. Hope we wont have to use a repairman anytime soon (no offense) but if we do Nick is our first choice.

Nick came out to look at my broken-down dryer and told me he could fix it but for about the same money I could get a brand new one, and thats what he advised me to do. He also recommended one, checked on the web, and found that Home Depot was running a really good sale on it. I took his advice, and you can bet that whenever I need appliance repairs in the future Im going back to this honest and friendly guy. I also plan to recommend him to everyone I know.

When our dryer broke we called the Washer and Dryer Guy and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He showed up on time and did a terrific job. Not only did he fix the broken switch on the dryer as expected, but he cleaned the inside the dryer and fixed the exhaust hose connection to the wall which I didnt even know was loose. The best part was he did all the extra work with out charging anything extra. Just wanted to make sure the job was done well. I highly recommend the Washer and Dryer Guy to anyone. You wont be disappointed.

Wow. I dont write allot of reviews for service but i felt compelled to in this case. Some history: About 6 months ago i had the heating element burn out on my new style front loading dryer. I got it replaced by a different repair service i found on a review site. (Nick, The Washer and Dryer Guy wasnt working in my area at that time). With the brand new heating element installed drying times for my loads remained unchanged ( up too 1.5 hours for many loads). No mention of my dryer venting was ever brought up by that other repair person.Fast forward 6 months and I was referred by a friend to Nick , The Washer and Dryer Guy, because i was looking to get the vents chased and cleaned out.(research on internet about long drying times). He confirmed what i was seeing on internet about vent clean out, and also the fire hazard concerns about clogged vents. Also, he informed me that clogged vents are one of the main contributing factors of why heating elements burn out to start with.(the other guy never mentioned it of course) Nick went to work and you wouldnt believe the amount of crap he pulled out of that dryer vent! I should have taken a picture of it. My wash loads now dry in about 1/2 the time they were before the clean out. I cant recommend Nick highly enough!. He was also very respectful of my home, covered his shoes before going on my floors, very careful pulling my appliance out etc... I will be dealing with Nick only for my washer and dryer from now on.

The main issue was a circuit board had gone bad and needed to be replaced. Which he had the part ready and quickly replaced.
