    Update: 01/12/24 - Sean was an outstanding tech! The fresh air make-up dampener replaced and the smart thermostat being reprogrammed due to other parts replacement. O&M all part of keeping the system tuned!Update: 04/05/23 - Trey was our Technician today; very courteous, friendly and professional! We discussed my concerns, and reviewed what he’ll be doing this visit. He performed a comprehensive systems check on the system and adjusted the placement of the Air Scrubber that kicked off due the activation of the safety switch. The Compressor, Condenser and Air Handler were thoroughly inspected. Also performed duct-fogging sanitization. Over all, he did an “OUTSTANDING JOB!!!” Thank you Trey!Update: 09/22/22 - with the maintenance plan in place; we scheduled the maintenance to be performed. Shane B w/SouthCoast Heat & Air did an outstanding job, very much the professional and thorough review of our new HVAC system. Went over the new air handler, compressor condenser and Fresh Air make-up. Great job!Follow up to our final part of install. Maintenance contract in place and sensors installed. Great job Alex! Joe thank Frank for the follow-up on the Electric work! Much appreciated!The story…we purchased our home and 1-month later, existing 5-year old HVAC system completely fails; no cooling w/90-degree temps and rising. Compressor condenser and air handler are rotted and shot. AND after a week, First American Home Warranty completely “FAILS” and denied our claim to repair.The Fix…we look up SouthCoast Heat & Air; already a 5-Star company and called. As indicated, immediate response! Joseph S. met us at our home and completely surveyed the existing system. We go over the options and decide to purchase a complete energy efficient, state of the art HVAC i.e., the full package, Compressor/Condenser, Air-handler, Air Purification variable speed etc..End result…after ordering our system it took only 1-week to receive and a completed full install.     This is a great family-owned business. Alex, the owners son, evaluated my 20-year old home furnace and gave me all the pros and cons of keeping it or replacing it. He did not try to sell me on a new installation but, instead, explained the benefits of a new furnace versus the benefits of older models. The estimate on a new installation and other options were very detailed with cost of all materials and labor. I decided on a new installation, & Daniel and an associate did all the work. We scheduled a day and time online and updates on their travel to my home were provided. They were very prompt, on time, & completed everything in a couple of hours. They checked everything out to ensure heating was functioning properly before leaving my residence. The company also offers an annual maintenance contract for heating and cooling that I have subscribed to. Cost is very reasonable and includes checking out the A/C in the spring before our summer starts, replacing the furnace filters (I buy the filters at Home Depot), etc. I now know that my HVAC system is in good hands.

We recently experienced a Texas heat wave, and our air conditioning unit decided to give up on us. Daniel came to our rescue on a Sunday, which was truly a lifesaver.From the moment he arrived, Daniel was incredibly friendly, honest, and thoughtful. He even wore shoe covers to ensure our floors stayed clean! Despite the sweltering 101-degree temperatures, Daniel braved the heat in our attic to quickly diagnose and fix the issue with our AC unit.     Great customer service! I called Sunday night with a broken a/c and was told that they could get me on the schedule for Wednesday but they would call me Monday to discuss sooner. I got a call that Alex would be making my appointment on Monday! Alex got there when expected, he was very professional and very patient with all of my questions. He explained what went wrong and was very thorough with going through his checklist as to what could have caused the capacitor failure. Overall a great experience and I highly recommend SouthCoast Heat & Air!

    They are very prompt in their response. We’ve always talked with a real person even on weekends and holidays. They come in clearly marked company vehicles. Very professional and knowledgeable.     Nothing but Great stuff to report on South Coast Heating and Air. Alex, Daniel, and the whole crew were a pleasure to deal with. The original to dismantle and re-install was to be 6 to 8 hours. The crew had it installed and running after only 4 hours. Alex came back to check installation, pressures, temperatures, and customer satisfaction. I am Very Appreciative of the Entire South Coast Crew!

    Our home flooded during Hurricane Harvey back in 2017. The AC was underwater and not functional. We called the company who originally installed it (before we purchased the house) and also one other company as a comparison. Both told us we needed a brand new unit, well over $12,000 for everything. Then one our friends told us about SouthCoast. They came out and checked everything and literally flipped a switch and got us back up and running at NO CHARGE! That was awesome!! Then during our rebuild we wanted to put in some extra returns, ducts, and a new intake as a result of some remodeling in order to get better airflow in other parts of the house. They did a really great job and even gave us the family discount.Our system worked absolutely great for years until just recently it started acting up (it’s around 20 years old and has taken some power hits from bad weather). They came out the very next day and checked everything, explained and showed us the situation, then gave us multiple options for what to do (good, better, best). We picked to do the best thing since it has generally been a reliable unit for its age. All said and done, they had two great techs come out and fixed it the same day, and then charged us LESS than we were quoted!! Again a great surprise and a blessing. We couldn’t recommend them more highly! They are incredibly honest and treat their customers like family.

    They did a fantastic job and did a complete install in only about 4 hours. In addition, I got a much better deal then what my warranty company was going to provide with a different vendor.     I selected SouthCoast Heat & Air based on their google review rating. After completion of my service repair I am now posting my own review from first hand experience. From the initial contact by phone I was met with warmth and professionalism. The technician assigned to me was knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me what he would be doing and also broke down in a very simplistic manner his findings along with recommendations and options available to me. He worked directly with the product warranty company to order the necessary part and I did not have to pay anything out of pocket for the part. The labor price was very reasonable and the service call fee which was lower than 3 other companies I’d called was deducted from the labor cost. Even with ordering the part my unit was up and running quickly and satisfactory! I decided to enter into a annual service plan agreement at my own inquiry. I am hopeful this will be a lasting relationship.

    I just bought a house, and my air conditioner stopped delivering cold air. The lady who assisted me was very friendly, polite and she was able to send someone to my house within an hour; which is beyond amazing when you have a baby and live in this Texas heat! I contacted several companies to get quotes and this one responded within minutes. In addition, they charged the least for consultations. The technician was also courteous and kind. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

    We had a recent power surge that fried some wiring and our system stopped cooling. They came out quickly, got us back up and running and also installed a surge suppressor on the outside unit to prevent future occurrences since this is the 3rd time we’ve had a power hit (bad grid in our area). They have always been very honest and explained exactly what we needed and we feel very valued as a customer. Also love how they use technology to diagnose the system and keep you posted on your technician’s estimated arrival. Great customer experience!

    Our furnace had given out after 22 years and our central A/C unit was on deaths door at 14 years, so I invited five Galveston-area HVAC companies to prepare quotes for both a new A/C + furnace combo and an electric heat pump that would both heat and cool.South Coasts representative, Joseph, was easily the most informative and responsive to my followup questions over the next several days. He spent 45 minutes with me after the walk-through, explaining the pros and cons of going from a gas furnace and electrical A/C unit to a heat pump that would both heat and cool. After research and my conversation with Joseph, we decided to go with South Coast and a heat pump.The pump required an electrical upgrade to our very old house. The electrician Joseph recommended did excellent work, and Josephs crew came out the following day and stayed until 6:30pm to finish the installation. After the installer said the condenser was noisier than it should have been, South Coast sent a technician the following morning, who recommended the unit be replaced, and it was, within four hours.South Coast also offered an attractive, no-interest financing package and competitive pricing.I was impressed by South Coasts professionalism and responsiveness. Were relieved to have an HVAC company we can trust.

    They were very easy to work with. I was out of town and they coordinated an estimate with my realtor, quickly scheduled the work, were very efficient and stuck to the estimate. Only critique is that they messed up the scheduling at first and were about 30-45 mins late for the appointment but these were very minor issues. They left no mess and were kind enough to lock up when they were done and drop the keys off with security. Overall great job, I will be using them again.

    They were professional from taking our call to coming out and fixing our problem. They were quick to get us on their schedule and they didnt have a 4 hour window like most places, they had a 1 hour which was very convenient for us. The technician explained everything and when I asked a question that was outside what we had called about, she made the time to educate me and gave us the information we need to make a decision later - not pressuring us.     South Coast replaced both of our systems and did a great job. Joseph, who is the owner of the company, was with us from start to finish. Very knowledgeable, technically savvy, very professional and also humble. His primary goal was never to sell us the systems and make the money but helping us to understand the basics of a system and components of a system and then to help us understand our issues and needs and then help us to get to where we decided to go and can go. It was one of few great shopping experiences that I had in my entire life. The install crew chief Carlos and his crew was top notch. If you do have questions, just ask them, let them know and you can be sure that you will get an answer. If you have concerns, let them know and it will be addressed and taken care off. It has been a week and I am still getting calls or messages from them to check on their work and our satisfaction. This is too hard to find in todays world.

    Very prompt emergency service. Diagnosed serious A/C issues. A previous A/C repairman from a different company came out and only added Freon without doing a pressure check. Alex was very through in checking all units and determined we have a serious leak. He was knowledgeable about manufacturer issues with the system and gave good honest recommendations for repair or replacement. I will use this company for my A/C upgrade.

    Every time I call, they have someone out the next day. Very professional, courteous, and, not only arrive on time, but also call if they can come earlier.     I looked up SoughCoast Heat & Air on the web. They had excellent reviews so I called them to inspect our HVAC systems. My whole experience with them has been outstanding. An appointment was set up, the tech arrived on time, I was notified ahead of time that he was coming, A text message including picture of the tech was sent. The technician knew what he was doing and took care of our equipment. I plan on continuing to use them in the future.

    I was refered to South Coast Heat and AC by Ron Boyd, a friend from a neighborhood Bible Study. He said they were an excellent Christian business, and they are.!!! Ken Toby sent out Joseph Spurbeck to estimate the job. I approved the job on the spot, as the cost was well-explained, and quite reasonable for complete removal and replacement on the A/C and Heating system, insured by State Farm Lloyds.…Joseph drove me to the bank to give him a check, then kindly drove me home. The three-man crew arrived punctually the next Tuesday, at 11:00 AM, and quickly began the job, led by Carlo Fernandez. They worked like demons and completed the entire job of complete A/C and Heater removal and installation of inside and outside units, as well as a thorough clean-up of the property.!!! I just couldnt believe they finished the entire job by 6:00 PM, with plenty of daylight to spare.!!!!…At all times all South Coast Air personnel were kind, efficient, courteous, helpful, professional, and certainly went the extra mile to answer all my questions, and keep me informed about their progress.!!!!! I offered to take them out to eat afterwards, but they said they were busy, so I gave each team member 20.00 $ insead, as a personal tip, for a job extremely well done.!!!!!………Also, on 11 April, Alex and Joseph had to come out to level the unit and sanitize the ducts for me. Both men were extremely hard-working, thorough, and professional in all their duties, and, they actually found a major problem that I had caused, by taping a garbage bag over the air intake closet during the winter.!!!!…They replaced my air filters, and explained to me in detail the work they had done, as well as the money it would save me by doing these servicing procedures.!!!     Joe came to my home well prepared and unhurried, in order to answer all questions and concerns. After a few days thought and research, I decided on a Lennox variable speed unit to replace an OEM single cycle unit that was 19 years old. I have the good fortune of having a friend who has a close friend in the HVAC business in another state. I was able to contact this person and make certain my price was fair......not the cheapest, not the most expensive. SouthCoast was in the middle, where Im personally most comfortable. Remember, buy cheap, buy twice. Installation is everything, I promise, on all these units regardless of manufacturer.The installers came out and did a good job. Unfortunately, after 12 hours, they could not get the system to communicate between the thermostat and outside unit. I finally asked them to leave and finish tomorrow morning. Im thinking possible expensive mistake going with high tech variable speed system. Out of frustration, I contacted Joe around 8:30PM that evening. He returned my call within 5 minutes, and advised he was talking to the installer. Joe then asked me what time tomorrow (on a Sunday nonetheless) I wanted them to come back. I told him 9AM would be fine. He assured me they would fix whatever the issue was.The installer and another technician from Southcoast showed up promptly at 9AM. Alex, the technician, is a polite young man who went right to work solving my problem. Long story short, and after 2-3 different tests were run, there were 2 bad wires (on my end) that was causing the disconnect. Nothing wrong with the new equipment or installation. The wiring was promptly replaced, the new unit working like a charm.I didnt think I would be in a position to test Joe & SouthCoast so quickly. I will tell you their professionalism, their desire to satisfy the customer and last, their superior customer care, is the best Ive experienced. I look forward doing business with these guys in forthcoming years for maintenance, etc. I will ask for Alex who is not only very capable, but also very careful entering my home with boot covers on and mindful of my home.Easily earning 5 star rating, dont need to look past these guys unless you are dead-set to find the cheapest deal available, which costs way more in the end.

    The installation of my HVAC system took place at the start of the COVID-19 outbreak, so the contracting team arrived about two hours late. Once they arrived they went right to work. They were very respectful of me and my home. As they continued there work I noticed one component of the HVAC system had some damage, I brought this item to there attention at which time they arranged to replace the component with a new part. The contracting team then asked me to inspect each component at it came off of the truck, good work guys. As they completed the work they ensured all work areas were cleaned and tidied up. Following the installation I notice there was no filter unit attached to the HVAC, three weeks later they came and installed the filter.Looking forward two years and finally the system is working correctly. South Coast Heat and AC has visited my home nearly two dozen time to make repairs to a NEW HVAC unit. One year in I noticed the two stage unit was wired to run on a one stage capacity, that issued called for another three visits. Several components of this unit has failed and again resulting in several visits from South Coast Heat and AC. To date the unit is running to standard, it just took to long to get there.
