I called JAK Services after I noticed some minor mold growth in my indoor A/C unit. The technicians were kind and thorough, they took the time to show me the problem and offered a solution. They patched the insulation in key spots and disinfected the mold growth. After installing a UV light to stop any future problems, they took pictures and showed me everything they did to complete the job the correct way. I will be calling them for any future HVAC needs. Each season, they are responsive, professional, on time, good quality, and transparent, and they don’t try to sell new systems whenever they come out! Jason from JAX came out to our house recently and did a great job! We had 4 companies previously come to the house to help us manage temperature and flow issues, and all the previous companies ignored the issues and worked to get us to buy new equipment. One shady but well known company even tried to talk us into replacing our entire system. Jason spent time learning about the issue then actually focused on troubleshooting the problem with the units and flow. He quickly determined the solution, made adjustments and repairs, and said there was no need to buy a single new piece of equipment. Everything is working much better today, and well definitely continue to exclusively use JAX for all HVAC services.12/2024: Had the Jak team back out to complete some maintenance for us and once again they were great. Friendly and efficient. This is the only HVAC company we’ll call.

They were very polite and professional in presenting their proposal for a 5 ton AC and furnace. I understand they may have a limited number of available technicians, but I did not want to take on as the homeowner having to level up the concrete pad from the erosion. That was my only concern. But if you check all the reviews I believe they do a very good job. That may be a determining factor for me as a disabled veteran. My wife did not want to add another pad further down and leaving existing pad and having a longer wiring harness or whip.

From the time they installed our two AC/heating systems five years ago, they have maintained them twice a year, and they have been functioning wonderfully! We enjoy the wireless thermostats as well. Their service is always amazing, and they answer any questions I have. They’re a great company, and I would recommend them to anyone!I was amazed today, the technician took me outside and showed me how dirty my two units were from all the new home construction going on around us. He then even showed me how to clean each one.When he was finished checking out my complete system, I knew the job was done correctly. We had our two HVAC system changed by JAK Service last month and we are pleased with the result. The estimate process was an honest discussion about the need and wants of our new system, rather than a sales pitch. The price ended up being competitive for the equipment we wanted, even if prices have skyrocketed over the past years.The installation crew showed up on time the expected day. They were professional in their manner and make every effort to disturb the house as little as possible; they were at least 6 technician and we could barely notice them for the half day it took to install our system. They left the house in pristine condition when they departed. However, they did omit to connect one of the return line on the upstairs unit; that gave us the opportunity to experience the after sale service.We called back to explain the issue and they came back the same day to install the missing duct. They also registered the HVAC units to enable the warranty, as they said they would, a rarity these days.In summary, we are pleased with our experience and highly recommend JAK Services. The owner is honest and straightforward, and he has amassed a crew of dedicated and professional technician that takes pride in their work. It was a pleasure to see them install our system.

She scheduled an appointment the next day. David (the owner) was the one who came out to check out the unit which says a lot about a company. He was very polite and straightforward with what the issue was. He even took the time to explain in detail how an AC system works to my wife. Unfortunately our AC system has a leak and will need to be replaced but it’s over 20 years old so it’s definitely reached it’s end of life use. The price David quoted us was more than reasonable and he wasn’t pushy about it at all. All in all it was a great experience and we are looking forward to the install.

I first came in contact with JAK Services three years ago when another company had botched the repair of my heat pump. David Horton of JAK Services not only explained to me what had gone wrong but also offered me a higher quality system at a more reasonable price than any other company I had investigated. The new American Standard not only kept us comfortable but also drastically lowered my utility bills. Plus my ducts have been upgraded and an air cleaner has been installed. First, they responded to us on Sunday afternoon when it was over 100° and our AC unit stopped working . We were given their names by friends that said they were the best and they were right! I thought I had an heating issue. I called and was given an appointment later the same day. I was informed of the time the technician (Kyle) would arrive and then he called me as well.Kyle checked the system thoroughly and kept me informed of the progress. After a couple of hours he determined that the electrical panel I had had replaced did not have an adequate breaker installed (the other folks missed it when they installed the power panel). Rather than charge me for a larger breaker and moving on, The owner (David) suggested I call the folks who changed the panel out and see if they would repair it. He told me that if someone had made an error on his team he would want the chance to make it right. That is the kind of company that I want to do business with. I have found my new HVAC/Electrical company in JAK Services. I got an email today letting me know that they do appliance repair now also. If I have any issues they are who I will call. Thanks JAK!

JAKS was outstanding. They were professional and on time. My Motor upstairs died and my org outside unit was 40 years old. While I waited for the new system to arrive they provided me 2 window units for my upstairs because it was going to be 10 days before they could do the install. When they arrived at my place for the install The JAKS team was polite laid down covers to keep from damaging my flooring and stair case. Whole install took around 2 hrs. I cannot adequately express my gratitude to David and JAK Services. I was out of town when my A/C failed. An A/C failure is never timed correctly, but this one was challenging because of family needs and travel requirements. My wife called several services before finding JAK Services. After talking to Piper on the phone and explaining everything, David personally came to our house the next morning before his scheduled time. He listened to my wife and quickly diagnosed the problem. He was supportive of our family needs and did not want to accept payment until he was done and we were happy. My family still got to do what needed to be done and David replaced the entire air handler, had it running and left before we were back home.I can tell you that we will be lifetime customers of JAK Services. JAK Services recently replaced my two 14 year old HVAC systems which had leaks in both coils (among other problems), with new 16 SEER American Standard systems. I could not be more pleased with my dealings with the company and the outcome of the work.As anyone reading this knows, replacing HVAC units is not a cheap endeavor, and proposals can vary widely. As such, in conducting due diligence, I had 9 HVAC companies come out to give me proposals. The quotes ranged from 12k all the way up to 19k (A#1 Air) for comparable systems, with an average proposal between 14-15k. JAK actually came in below the average.More importantly, David (the owner of JAK Services) took the time to come out personally to give me a proposal for the scope of work to be performed and also sat down with me to fully explain the process and answer all of my questions. Every other company sent a sales rep who has probably never performed an install in their lives. Davids level of knowledge and genuine honesty put me at complete ease. It also didnt hurt that their prices were among the most reasonable.David and his team performed the install flawlessly and the systems are working perfectly. I am fully confident that should any issue arise down the road, David and his team will be out to fix it in an expedient manner. Also of note, JAK Services provides a 2 year labor warranty (standard) - all other companies were 1 year. Lastly, JAK took care of registering the new systems with the manufacturer and had the warranties set up for me. It couldnt have been any easier!Its great to know that there are still honest companies out there that perform top notch work and truly care about their customers - not just their bottom line. Called JAK services because a rental had issues with a light socket. David determined it was a faulty breaker, said he didnt have it on the truck, would have to order it and come back, said it might be a couple hundred dollars never gave me a written estimate, never had me sign an estimate, and was vague on pricing. Several hours later, one of his techs showed up with the wrong part, and had to go get the right breaker (I told them there was one at LOWEs, because I had gone there myself for another project and saw it there for $45.) So I sat outside the rental for a half hour more waiting. Finally the tech came back and installed the breaker in 10 mins. Still didnt give me an estimate, said the office would bill me. Then I get the bill, $264 to switch out a breaker which cost $45 at Lowes. I asked them if they would accept $200, and they refused. Total service time from when they initially showed up, about 4-5 hours. This is the 2nd time Ive used them, and although their diagnostic work and professionalism are outstanding, their pricing is too high for me going forward. Get a written estimate. UPDATE: Saw David Horton at Home Depot for another circuit breaker issue on another home and he graciously pointed out the right one to me. Outstanding individual.

Called JAK Services on Sunday night regarding problems with AC unit. Scheduled an appointment for early the following day. Fixed the AC issues, and even helped check and repair some minor electrical issues that we were having regarding the circuit upstairs providing light to the portion of the AC in the attic. Will definitely call again if services are needed.

Great experience with David and his crew. Arrived at 7am as scheduled for my AC installation, and all went as David had described. This was a full installation using American Standard equipment and all the old stuff was hauled away, and they described the operation of the system, including the wifi thermostat. The pricing was very good, and included a discount from Oncor.

This would be an easy 5 star but when I requested the service, as instructed by David the owner, I asked if they would bring what they needed to move my thermostat. On arrival I learned that the tech did not have requested supplies and thus I was forced to use a local service to avoid waiting near a week to move the thermostat.

We bought our house 3 months ago and knew we were on borrowed time with our 20 year old HVAC unit. After two days of leaking out water and freon, it was nothing more than a glorified fan. JAK was honest and showed us the issues from the corroded core to the kinked line to the exterior unit. They replaced the unit and went above and beyond to fix all the poor quality work from the last owner from the wrong gauge of wiring to the improper drain line. And even though I know they went over on time and materials to fix all the issues, they honored their original quoted price. So many HVAC companies would have charged us more. They were courteous and professional, even taking time to explain the ins and outs of the new system to us. Id highly recommend even though they may not be the cheapest out there, the quality of work and confidence youll have it is done right is worth every penny.

10/2015 - I had both HVACs replaced with American Standard (Gold Series) and the whole process was done professionally. I recommend JAK Services for all your air conditioning needs. 9/2016 Update - I just recieved my third electric bill from the Texas summer heat and my bills on average have been over $100 less with the newly installed A/Cs. This is almost a 30% decrease in my electric bills. Very impressive.

Wow! JAK Services really saved the day this week! We moved from Michigan last year, and were still adjusting to the climate. Were used to wearing jackets and raking leaves by now, and this 95+ spike in the temperature really caught us by surprise.Especially our AC went out! We called them Monday, and they were out here this morning. They reviewed the system, confirmed that only a small repair was necessary, and recharged the system. Its already cooling down in my home, and were looking forward to getting some sound sleep tonight. Thanks for your honest, excellent service!
