James was so great to work with. He was professional, on time, and so friendly - especially with our dogs and baby running around! He was very informative and fair. We originally received a quote from a large company who said it would be almost $800 for the required chimney maintenance. When James came out, he said that was very wrong, and was sorry we had that experience - I’m so glad we didn’t go with the first company! We will definitely be working with Hill Country for future maintenance.

James was absolutely fantastic. My kids were having major issues with allergies and I just didnt know what to do we tried everything. We had one company come out and do our air ducts and it didnt make a bit of a difference.. He left my house a total disaster.. My friend told me to call Hill country and have them at least come take a look. Well, James showed me pics and everything.. He got in there, did what needed to be done correctly... He was a total life saver. The kids are doing great and their allergies are much more manageable and my house smells so fresh.. no more dust all over the place every other day :)

James is the best chimney sweep and air duct cleaner you will ever find. He fixed my gas fireplace and an issue we were having when switching the fireplace on. He cleaned the glass and the firebox so well that it looked brand new. He touched up the paint and made us proud to show off our fireplace again. I had no idea the importance of getting a gas fireplace swept, I was always under the idea that we were exempt, but boy was I wrong. He cleaned out all of the residues and the flame shined brighter and the heat actually hit all of the rooms again! He also cleaned out our drier vent run. I have him come every 6 months because I had no idea how fast they can fill and that they can start a fire! James is very professional and I love that he is always studying up on all the new rules and regulations and makes sure to have all of the newest and up to date equipment to take care of my home. If youre looking for exceptional quality and someone you can trust, James is your guy!

James does fantastic work! He was exceptionally meticulous in cleaning our ducts, and even brought drop cloths to protect our childrens playroom. His attentiveness to detail and his concern of the health and safety of our children during the cleaning process was truly above and beyond. He communicated with us every step of the way and was mindful to clean up after himself when he was done. So glad to have found Hill Country Air Duct and Chimney Sweeps. A+++!!

After moving into our new house (that is 20 years old) we needed an expert to look at our fireplaces to determine if it was even safe for our family to burn a fire, since there were signs of neglect from the previous owner and obviously fire is nothing to play with in your home! James was responsive, professional, and extremely thorough not only in the inspection and cleaning of the fireplaces and chimney - but exposing possible fire hazards and recommendations. Definitely recommend this business for your fireplace and chimney needs. He’s coming back out Monday to perform an air duct cleaning. James was awesome! He was very informative and professional. I decided to have my chimney swept after the snowpocolypse that occurred in Texas in 2020. I was going to be prepared for the upcoming winter! James talked to me about gas-fireplace safety, and even had carbon monoxide detectors on hand for purchase (cheaper than Amazon!). James is extremely fair in his pricing, and I feel much safer using my fireplace now that it has been swept and inspected. Thanks James! Now I have him scheduled to clean my furnace air ducts. Woo-hoo for less dust in the house!

After calling Hill Country Air Duct & Chimney Sweeps and speaking with James, it was clear to me that he is the person for my air duct cleaning needs. Not only was he knowledgeable about the equipment and proper procedures, he even recommended multiple HVAC accessories that are available to assist with cleaning and disinfecting the air in my home. His customer service and responsiveness is top notch and appears to be a genuine person. Never tried to up sell me. He actually disclosed some industry secretes regarding the maintenance of my dryer vent. I have already referred his services to multiple family and friends and highly recommend you use Hill Country Air Duct & Chimney Sweeps!

We thoroughly ENJOYED working with Hill Country Air Duct and Chimney Sweeps, specifically with James. I value working with people who are honest and professional, and James is the epitome of this. We hired him for a level 2 inspection because I knew that the last place who worked on our fireplace and chimney were absolute jokers. I would rail on them here, but trust that it was a nightmare, complete with an extra guy who definitely didnt work for the company and was wearing a weed-themed t-shirt. Anyway, as soon as James saw our fireplace he asked us about the previous company, requested to look at the work order, and then literally called them to see what was going on there. He was so frustrated for us because through his inspection, he determined that our fireplace is actually dangerous to burn anything in. We are SO LUCKY nothing bad happened during the winter storm earlier this year. James said his company didnt have the certification yet needed to do the specific, very complex work we need to fix the damage the other company created. That right there is honesty. He spent so much time explaining all of our options, none of which he would financially benefit from right now. We have a game plan now, and we plan on using this company in any capacity we can in the future. I absolutely trust James and the company.

Because of James, there are no longer little dust particles flying in the sunlight. He came with some heavy machinery, removed all of our vent covers, and removed all the dust and debris that has been giving us allergy problems over the last year. The bonus is that we will also not have to dust as often in the house. James was on time, worked quickly and efficiently, and informed us of his progress. A few short hours later, our house was smelling fresher and cleaner. Thanks so much for your time, James. We will be sure and do this as a regular maintenance with you!

James was a little early and texted to make sure it was OK. He was very down to earth and professtional. After cleaning the chimney he noticed a few cracks in the tiles and recommended a few different options.I would highly recommend James and Hill Country Air Duct and Chimney to anyone!

I had James come out to clean and inspect the chimney in a house I recently purchased, and he was very knowledgable and honest. James quickly figured out that my chimney had no flue tiles, and let me know that even if he cleaned it, my chimney is not up to code for a wood burning fire. He also let me know that the cleaning tools they use are meant for chimneys that have flue tiles/are up to code, and that if he cleaned my chimney it would likely do more damage. So instead of doing the cleaning and charging me for something I wouldnt be able to use/would likely cause more damage, and he was honest and saved me the money. That said, Id strongly recommend Hill Country Air Duct and Chimney cleaning to others.
