I found Brown Service Co on Google and thank heaven I did! I had contacted 5 other HVAC companies to come out & give me a bid to get HVAC ducts ran to our back bathroom as it has never had heat & air since we purchased our home in 2006. 1 contractor out of the 5 I contacted actually showed up but never sent me a bid telling me his techs were too large to fit in our attic. I never heard back from that contractor. From the 1st time I called Brown Service Company 4 days ago to meeting Jimmy for the 1st time later that day, Brown Service Co has been AMAZING! The bid was fair. Jimmy is VERY knowledgeable & a good ole boy, my favorite type of contractor. I had a deadline of today due to being in the middle of a bathroom remodel & they made it happen. They came into our home today as promised and completed the job. My husband and I both HIGHLY recommend Brown Service Co & their phone number is now permanently in my phone as our new HVAC company.

I had one of the best experiences for a service call ever. From placing the call the communication was consistent and the follow up was outstanding! I’am a Veteran but Jordan Room that came out was a soldier for me today. He was stung quickly twice just opening my unit, I thought that may have been it for the day. I called Brown Service Co due to a leak in my air conditioner. Water was collecting below the unit and carpet was wet.i was very fortunate that I got same day service! Jimmy came out and found a drainage plug clogged. He was able to unclog the pipe and explained what I need to do monthly to prevent this from happening again. Jimmy is excellent as are all the service technicians with Brown Service Company!

I am a heart patient, when we lost the outside compressor, the temperature in the house got to 92 degrees. I called Brown Service Company and Kevin Broom sent Chris out to my house, he diagnosed the problem quickly and told me what was necessary for the repairs. The next day Thomas installed my American Standard outdoor unit. I am very pleased with the Quality of work done on my AC system. I would recommend Brown Service Company to anyone needing AC repairs. Extremely Reliable and Trustworthy! I called around to several AC companies and felt like they weren’t being upfront with their prices. What I found with Brown Service. The quote I received was the price I paid. Not to mention, their workers made me feel comfortable with leaving my wife alone at the house while I was away. You can’t be too careful today. Before deciding to go with Brown Service, I spoke with the owner Shane prior to them coming out because I felt I was getting the run around by another business. He explained everything in detail and how I could actually save some money if I would let them install my new AC unit the way they wanted to. In the end, I ended up saving over $500! The problem was fixed within 30 minutes and the price was great. I have been a customer with Brown Service for so many years that I’ve lost count of how long it’s been. From the people in the office, to the servicemen that come to my house, they are always friendly, competent, prompt and trustworthy. I have nothing but good things to say about this business. From the tech Zack and Samuel and Mrs. Sabra in the office handling the service. Everything was excellent. We wanted our A/C unit to be working to the best of its ability for the hot TX summer. Tons of other companies were booking us out 2-3 months out due to it not being an emergency but Sabra new it was important to us to get the unit cleaned to work to its best ability. It was going to be about a week but they had a last min cancellation and was able to get us in the next day. They rock! Thanks!

Just purchased a home and have been remodeling. Set up an appointment and had Shane come out and look at our system as it was not cooling our house. He stated that the current system did not have enough return vents, not enough supply vents, and needed to be zoned since it was a two story house. The crew showed up when promised, worked hard when here, were very clean and professional. Shane answered all of our questions and walked us through everything. Told us that if we had any questions or concerns to please contact the office and someone would come back and help with anything. The changes to the system are night and day. Brown Service Company has been servicing my HVAC for a long time. They stop in twice a year for a check up. This year, they found a problem with the AC. While it took a while to isolate it, it was repaired before the heat hit. Then, a couple of days ago, it stopped. In the peak of the season, with 3-digit heat, they got it fixed in a hurry. Texas heat is no joke and considering the minimal time it took them to make the service call I can’t complain. Executive Summary: I was not present, but I was told by my SO that Randy, the electrician, did not seem like a hard worker, and that he smoked a lot. Over the phone, he sounded alright. When he showed up, he was easy to get along with and actually pretty sharp. He worked hard, got the job done, and we passed inspection that same day. Between that and the price, Im pretty dang happy. Its an older house, and it has some electrical needs - I know who I will be calling next time!Background: A tree branch fell on the power line running from the community service pole to my house, pulling the meter box apart a bit and pulling the riser and weatherhead from the wall and roof. I could not get any electrician on site at the time, so I called the electrical delivery provider to come temporarily disconnect service. The service tech showed up, and I had actually worked with him before at my day job. He was very amicable, but when I suggested that I may fix the limited damage myself, he said there was no way he could reconnect it that way, as an electrician would be necessary to pull a permit and get an inspection, the passing result of which is required for reconnection. So my quest for an electrician began in earnest when he left.Initial Impression: I called many places on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, and only one company answered the phone. Brown was not it. And the company that did answer the phone would not come out until the holiday weekend was over, so its not like I got massively shorted. I called Brown mid-morning Tuesday, when my insurance company said I needed a second quote, and they came out for an estimate late that same day. I was not home, but my SO was, and she said the guy smoked a lot and worked a little. I did talk to him over the phoneContracting: Both electricians that came out that day said that I needed not only some repair work from storm damage, but significant work to bring some obvious items up to code. Brown was about 30% cheaper than Milestone, so although the Milestone guy, who I did meet myself, seemed very nice and polite, I decided it wasnt worth it to me to spend 30% more - notably, thats 30% that insurance would not be covering. The insurance adjuster also got them to reuse more of the existing parts and wires, which knocked the price down quite a bit. The adjuster also decided not to pursue any of the large code items; only a few small items, such as grounding. So now only 1/3 of Browns original estimate, I was well under my deductible, I didnt think the inspector would give us half a chance, and we were probably wasting time - time where I was without power and air conditioning!Work: He got right to work, let me watch, and I didnt pester, but did ask questions now and then just for my own edification. I also gave him a hand a few times when he looked like he could use the help. He worked pretty hard and pretty consistently. The price was fair for the work done, for sure, and the work done looked pretty good to my untrained by fairly electrically experienced eyes.Inspection: The company succeeded in getting the city inspector out in a hurry, and it turns out that the master electrician who pulled the permit is [distantly] related to the inspector. The inspector was friendly and brief in his duties, and did call the master electrician before leaving the property to chat. Not a bad thing to be some distant relative. We passed. Good!Reconnection with Delivery Provider: I was told by the power delivery company that they could not guarantee same day reconnection at the hour I called. They had a few hundred requests at any given time, thanks to the recent storm. They said maybe by nightfall, otherwise in the morning. They also said that they would not give me any notice; their guy would just show up when it was our turn to be served. The delivery providers tech showed up within just a couple hours, much to my surprise. I tried to offer him soda or other -legal- refreshment for a man on the job, but he declined.

The float switch installed by Justin during the spring maintenance check detected blockage in the drain line.
