We recently had Akai come out to repair our dryer and it was a great experience. From the initial phone call to schedule the appointment all the way through the service visit, working with Akai was awesome. Very knowledgeable, super thorough, Akai is the kind of guy that wants to solve the cause of the issue not just treat the symptoms. Highly recommend and will absolutely call Akai with A&G Appliances again!

Just had Mr. Akai Fowler out to my parents house to fix a Dryer that wasn’t powering at all and had a busted vent line. Turned out to be a stubborn breaker that just needed to be untripped and he ended up replacing the dryer vent for a very fair quote. We will be happily doing business with this gentleman for any future residential appliances needs!Thank you Mr. Akai Fowler!

We have worked with Akai for about 4 years now - washer problems, dryer problems, stove, etc. Hes extremely honest and is actually trying to save the customer some money. Very knowledgeable about the manufacturing and all things on appliances. Extremely professional in your home and with all communication. This man is a rare individual these days in this area of contractors, home services. I would not consider anyone else in the appliances area but Akai.

I am in need of replacing my Samsung front loader washing machine. I made the decision to call a reliable and experienced service repair company for recommendations on replacement. Akai was prompt, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. My call was answered in a reasonable amount of time, and Akai was able to fit me in 2 days later. It only took one visit to complete my dryer repair. I fully expected to wait for parts to come in, but Akai already had the heating element that my dryer needed. I also feel that Akai went above and beyond, as I was educated on the details of my dryer once it was opened up. Akai also replaced my vent hose and cleaned what he could from vent on the roof of my house. NOT services I would expect from someone who came to repair my appliance.I thought I had a washing machine issue as well, and he quickly explained that what I thought was an issue was actually a function of my older machine. To be told I didnt need repairs on something was amazing to me, as I have had a lot of bad service in my neighborhood. I will ABSOLUTELY contact Akai again if something breaks while I live in the Houston area. Thank you so much for being so thorough and kind.

Akai is awesome! I am so glad we found a good repair guy. I initially called Samsung tech support because our dryer was overheating and they were so rude and unhelpful. I found Akai from his stellar reviews on Yelp. He came out the next day. He’s extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was very thorough in investigating and diagnosing the problem. His prices are very reasonable and he advised us on what to do if the problem arises again. 10/10 this guy is awesome and I will recommend him to anyone having appliance problems!

A&G repair man Jeremy is an expert in his field. He diagnosed and repaired our freezer. Jeremy removed and replaced a bad compressor and had our freezer running in just a few hours. We highly recommend A&G Appliance repair.

Another great job by Akai. He fixed a fridge for me two years ago, so when my microwave suddenly stopped, he was my first call. Came out same day and diagnosed and fixed it for a very reasonable charge. While here I mentioned an issue my dryer and he fixed that too, again very reasonably.Very professional. Highly recommend

I HIGHLY recommend A & G appliance, if you are looking for a one stop shop for all household repairs this is your place. I have used A & G over the past year, originally my stove top control panel cracked and needed a repair. The second time I used A & G was when I was having AC issues. Akai is very responsive and knowledgeable, just today I sent him photos of an issue I was having with my water heater and he took the time to walk me through how to fix the issue. What I appreciate most about him is his honestly and willingness to teach you how to do simple repairs that will save you money. I promise if you use this company you WONT be disappointed!

I had the pleasure of working with this company around 3 or 4 years ago. I thought I had lost the contact info but was very happy to see I had it saved to a bookmark on yelp which I never use anymore. The owner worked on a dryer I had purchased in 2009 which would no longer dry my clothes. He was prompt and very friendly. The dryer he repaired is still working even today. I am ecstatic that I found his info again I had an appliance repair recently which left a bad taste in my mouth. I definitely recommend checking him out.

I am so thankful for Akai! I had attempted to replace a felt seal gasket- Youtube made it look easy and i overestimated my skills. I ended up breaking some stuff and I realized I better stop while ahead. After calling around a few places on Google I found it actually cheaper to purchase a new dryer instead. Then Akia messaged me and not only was he way more affordable but he could do it same day! As a family of 6, laundry is massive and I couldn’t be more thankful - thankful to do laundry! Insane I know. He was friendly, communicated great, was professional, and fast! He showed up with everything he needed, fixed it fast and even got it hooked back up for me! On top of all that, he even put the seal on that started this whole mess at no extra charge! I cannot recommend him enough!!! I hope not to have anymore issues any time soon, but when I do he’ll be my first contact! Thank you so much!!!

Akai quickly diagnosed my Whirlpool refrigerator and came prepared with a new evaporator motor. He is professional, friendly, and very efficient. I called yesterday evening to make an appointment, and here I am with a repaired refrigerator less than 24 hours later! Will certainly call him next time any of my appliances start acting up.

I sent a message via Yelp and got a response back very quickly. My Samsung dryer wasnt drying and I assumed it was the heating element. Anyway, I was surprised that Akai was able to come the same day, (in the evening), in no time at all he diagnosed the problem and told me it would be $100 less than his original estimate as the problem wasnt the heating element.That is such a wonderful surprise to have an honest person after all the folks weve dealt with that just rip you off.I recommend this business to anyone that needs an appliance repaired, even if he doesnt do your particular appliance he will give you an honest assessments, suggestions and whatever else you need. Call him first.Thank you Akai for the wonderful service and advise. Wish I had thought to take some pictures of the work you did.

Our 20 year old GE Monogram refrigerator was not getting cold. Previous repair people had given up on it and so did I. I tried to order a new GE fridge, but with supply chain troubles, our order was backordered for over a year so I cancelled it and resolved to find someone willing to try and fix it. That’s when I found Akai - he was extremely knowledgable, honest, thorough, and VERY persistent with this old fridge. And the best news was that he got it working again! I will only call him for my appliance repairs from now on. Highly recommend that you give him a call!

A&G repaired my Samsung washer that was having difficulty powering on. I called Akai and explained the problem. On the phone he told me the likely problem and probable fix. When he came to my house he thoroughly inspected the washer to see if there was an easier repair. It ultimately was the problem he initially thought and he successfully completed the repair. Very prompt service!

Excellent communication! The most likely cause of dryer malfunction was determined in advance through SMS, then confirmed and fixed in a single efficient visit. Akai was efficient, professional, came on time wearing a facemask (we greeted him in masks, too!). We will definitely keep the contact information for any future trouble with appliances. Akia is amazing. I called him about my LG washer being broken and he knew exactly what the issue was right away. He told me that we could fix the problem ourselves and gave me step-by-step instructions over the phone. He even offered to guide us through the process if we sent him pictures (by circling the screws we needed to remove, etc).And when I asked how much would he charge if I asked him to come do it, he quoted a super reasonable price.I mean, when do you ever get people telling you that you can do it yourself - and telling you exactly how? Without charging you a dime? Amazing. I hope karma rewards him big time.

Great professional service. Honest estimates and sincere work. Often times Akai (owner) will charge less if the work is less than what he had estimated. This was the 2nd time we used the service and both times the arrival was timely, we were kept updated about the ETA, honest discussions of the issue and charges per the work completed.

If you need a repair, please dont hesitate to call A&G. The owner, Akia, was so reliable and honest in our need to repair our refrigerator, that was not cooling and we were about to loose our food. He went way beyond of what was expected and got it fixed the same day. After diagnosing the problem, he seeked the parts needed, went and got the them. He communicated with us during the entire process via phone which was so comforting. He is reliable, honest and most importantly an expert in his field. CALL HIM YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED NOR OVER CHARGED.

I submitted requests from several repair companies via Yelp -pretty cool option rather than sitting on the phone- Akai was the first to respond, had the best (fair) price and was able to commit to the job the very next morning. Today, he sends a text letting us know he would be 10 minutes early for the appointment and asked if it was OK. We are simply floored with his communications. Something so simple is so many times executed so poorly with others -not with this guy! Anyway, he fixed the issue with our washers drain pump, and let me watch and converse with him the whole time. Really impressed how he double and triple checked his work and that there were no leaks. He then checks the drain hose and determines that we had the hose way to far down the drain line, so he made the necessary adjustments for us without even batting an eye. Bottom line, very pleased with his service and will undoubtedly be calling on him again the next time something comes up. Highly recommended.

So I found this place on Facebook when searching for appliance repair since my dryer lost heat and texted the owner. I received an immediate response back and he was out to our house pretty quickly! He got the problem fixed (it turned out to be a combination bad breaker and dryer issue) and didnt charge an arm and a leg. Nicest repair person ever!!!!! Problem solved!! Back to having clean and dry clothes!!!!
