The technician quickly determined that I needed a new zone board and explained my options, which helped me understand what was needed. James was very helpful in understanding what needs to be done and he went into the A/C vendors office and processed my warranty request to help expedite the parts delivery. Once the parts came in, they were able to be scheduled for installation the same day and the crew of 4 people completed the replacement in less than 2 hours. The crew members were professional and friendly.Lastly, I got quotes from 3 different A/C repair companies and Richmonds Air had very competitive pricing.

Richmonds Air team saved me from a poor AC install job from Jo** M****! I had called the previous company on issues with my unit running 20+ hours a day, and they wanted me to pay for a nitrogen test to find the leak but it wouldn’t guarantee it would find the issue. Richmonds Air team came and diagnosed without nitrogen test and saw a bad weld job within 20 mins of my appointment. They had welding team out later that day, fixed the issue, and recharged me at a fair price! unit has been running perfect since (this was 3 months ago). Honest company, super professional, and didn’t try to upsell me services.

Just got my new furnace! Didnt know that was the issue. Thought it was the AC because it wasnt blowng cool air. James could have taken me for the run around and tell me I need to replace this and that but NO. He was upfront about everything.Thank you, James, for being so great at what you do. Honest guy, tells you what the issue is straight-up. Gives you the REAL quote of what the job will take. And the guys who set everything were so efficient and professional, everything done in under 2 hours. Yall, RUN dont walk to James if you have any issues with AC units/furnace issues. Hes legit.

Can I give a higher rating than 5/5? These people know their stuff and are extremely efficient. They arent the lowest priced systems out there, but they are FAR from the most expensive. My whole system was replaced in under 5 hours and my outside unit is on my roof! They even put in a soft start for me at my request.Thank you so much!

A neighbor recommended Richmonds Air. So glad they did. We were having similar issues with the dampers not controlling air flow to the different floors. Jason L came out and diagnosed the problem and by that afternoon, a crew led by Alex got the job done (replaced all 6 dampers). It did turn out that the crew got a couple of wires mixed up on the control panel. But Jason L came back out and sorted the issue out the next day. Very happy with their service.

Had a great experience with James and his team at Richmonds Air. Our system went out on Tuesday night, so I called James on Wednesday morning and he gave us a great price on a new system and said he could have his team install it that same day, and that they could start within the hour. We gave Richmonds the green light and their team arrived on time and replaced the whole system within 3 hours (the inside and outside unit). Extremely efficient and professional. Theres a reason why these guys have so many 5 star reviews-- they get it done right. Will definitely be recommending these guys to our friends and family moving forward.

Had a maintenance inspection done with Jason D. from Richmonds Air and I could not be more pleased! I originally called Tuesday Aug 27th after my neighbor had a coil leak, and I was concerned about ours because our houses were built by the same builder with lower quality materials. They were not able to schedule the appointment at the moment I called but assured me they would call back with appointment times. And they did call me back within a few hours! (So many home contractors dont call back/never answer the phone in a timely manner.) Scheduled the appointment for today (2 days after calling), and received a confirmation, reminder the day before, and an on the way notice the day-of via text and email. Jason was knowledgeable and friendly. He fully explained the service and test he would do before starting, checked in with me mid-work, and then explained his findings afterwards. SO PROFESSIONAL. He then explained the payment confirmation and I received the receipt in my email almost immediately. The receipt included detailed notes from the inspection! The whole process took less than an hour. I have hired so many home contractors over the years and never have I had such a great experience. I wish I could give 6 stars.

Later we noticed some unusual sounds coming out from the blower. James came by to check. It turned out to be a possibility of imperfect blower. He and his team replaced it the next day. All is good now, no more annoying sound.

From the moment I contacted Richmond Air, I was more than satisfied with the service. We have a two-story house with two separate units outside.It was time for regular maintenance, and instead of calling the company that we usually call, I thought Id give Richmonds Air a try. I know regular service and maintenance is essential to maintaining a good home.I have heard excellent things about Richmonds Air and decided to call Richmonds Air.When I called, I was given a date and time of appointment and we were constantly updated. The technician was professional, took off his shoes at the entrance and provided us with a diagnostic summary and the air filter change. Being an Asian home, I was impressed at how polite the technician was.Afterwards, I was provided a relative summary of the system, I fully recommend Richmond Air for anyone who is a first time homeowner, or experienced in the business. Honest, reliable, excellent value. Five out of five stars, highly recommend.

It has taken me a couple of weeks to post but the other day (hot as hell as usual) our lawn guy damaged the thermostat wire going to the out A/C unit. Called Richmond Air who we have a maintenance agreement. They showed within 45 minutes. Fixed the problem, fuse in unit also blown, and were back in service. This company has been excellent the last several years that we have used them.Thank you Richmond Air.BTW.- encased the thermostat wire in PVC - won’t happen again.

Ive rated RichmondAir previously but I like to mention their warranty for parts and labor. Since installation, Ive had to call James a few times for issues. Each time they arrive within 24hrs and solve the issue without a fuss.They have a great team with James and Alex serving as the focal points of communication.Today- I called at 830am for an AC not working. Camillo came out at noon, diagnosed the capacitor not working. He replaced it in 20min. This type of service is uncommon and should be praised. Awesome group!

About 10 years ago I had a Home Warrently contract and their AC guys came to tell me I needed a new condenser. Well, luckily I asked a friend for recommendations and will not call anyone else since that time but Richmond Air! James stayed at my house for over an hour and a half after to see if the unit was working well. The replacement parts he installed cost $200 whereas the Home Warrently people wanted me to replace over $1850 worth of parts. Richmond Air is Excellent!

Richmond’s Air has saved our family twice! Two years ago, also during the Houston summertime heat, our air conditioner died on a weekend! We knew the unit was on its last leg from a different company’s evaluation. Richmond’s Air team rescued us immediately, on the same day, within hours, and we had cool air conditioning quickly. Another plus was the financing they offered to pay the cost over time thru a bank with no interest. Their cost was lower than the estimate of the other company that we had used for years.Fast forward to today, Memorial Day holiday, and my 97 year old father’s air conditioning went out with the temperature reaching 86 degrees in his house. He is fighting a kidney infection & recently discharged from the hospital. Camilo, on the Richmond’s Air team came out at 1:30PM when he got the call and was supposed to have been off for the holiday at 12 noon. He quickly diagnosed the problem, repaired the air conditioner, also helping us to narrowly avoid an explosion of the capacitor and a fire.I cannot praise the Richmond’s Air team enough! Thank you sooo much!

One of our A/C units not able to maintain temperature as the heat increased in the afternoon hours. We had used Richmonds Air a few years ago and were very satisfied with their service and called them again. Richmonds Air came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. The knowledge of the technician, Tiffany, was really useful in helping us evaluate seer efficiencies and the pros/cons between repair or replacement of the 15 year unit. We opted with replacement and their price was competitive with other quotes. The unit was installed the next day, and Alex & the rest of the crew were very polite, did a great job, took care to protect floors and cleaned up nicely. Thanks Richmonds Air!

We used Richmond’s air for supply plenum and AC duct replacement - highly recommend. Our house was built in 1930s so required a bit of customization to make the replacement work. The installation technician did a great job of being thorough and taking his time to figure out the best way to make it work with the least amount work that needed to be done to the house in terms of drywall removal etc. They also had good response time and never had any trouble getting in contact with someone from the company when I had a question which is a huge plus. I would use them again.

This group is definitely worth it. The owner responds quickly on Yelp. In less than 48 hours I had my coils and condenser replaced on a failed unit when their competitor (Superior HVAC) gave some whack invoicing line items through the home warranty. They even came earlier than their expected time with 3-4 trucks and team of 5-6 individuals followed by a supervisor verification. I got quoted for a 3.5 ton condenser and coil replacement for $5500 all in SEER 14 American Standard. Theres no question you can find cheaper professionals out there; but these guys were in and out quickly. They evaluated both downstairs and upstairs units and they gave me the proper run down that my original builders units were SEER 16 but the furnace and other components were SEER 14; so they quoted exactly what was needed. To my surprise and pleasure, they even installed a surge suppressor on the power unit for the outside condenser. As a fellow Veteran business owner; these guys really do well and pay attention to detail. Im definitely calling them again for future needs.

Just today, Camilo came out for my annual Spring maintenance, and texted in advance that there was traffic and he would be a few minutes late. Camilo and his team are outstanding!I bought my townhome about couple months ago and right from the beginning I noticed that the humidity level was consistently in 80’s and 90’s which is very high and perfect conditions for mildew and mold development. The system itself consisted of the original 40 year old plenum and somewhat newer other components from previous owners and their cost saving attempts to keep the system running.It was clear to me that it was getting close to replace the entire system at some point but my goal was to get the humidity under control first.To remedy the high humidity in the house, home inspector suggested installing dehymidifier, another AC company could not figure out the reason why the humidity was so high in the entire house and after inspection stated that system is fine and nothing to worry about.The humidity Issue wasn’t solved until Camilo from Richmond’s Air came by and figured out the root cause. The fan motor was constantly on regardless of whether I had set it on auto or off in thermostats. Camilo fixed fan the issue and humidity levels normalized within few days.About couple months later the AC unit started randomly shutting down and also leak was apparent now. As I had been planning on adding another zone to the system and now that I had found a very knowledgable and professional AC technician Camilo at Richmond’s Air, I didn’t hesitate to reach out again and proceed with getting a quote for the entire new system.Camilo’s quote was fair. He explained the benefits if each feature very well and helped me make the best decision that met my budget and home design. The installation was excellent. I had my HVAC system replaced with a new 2 stage and heat bump version including media filter and new ducking in the attic and also with an additional zone.The schedule was on time. The workmanship was professional and organized. Everything was great. System runs super smoothly and quietly. I really appreciate Camilo checking the installation and system performance the next day as a courtesy.Definitely recommend Richmond’s Air and Camilo.

Previously had a great experience with Richmonds Air so called them out again when our outdoor condenser unit was not working properly. When the initial tech came out, there was a bit of a misunderstanding over the diagnosis of the problem and how much it would cost to figure out the problem. The owner, James Richmond, personally reached out to me, apologized profusely for the initial misunderstanding, took ownership of the issue, and worked with me extensively to figure out the problem with the system. Once the issue was finally diagnosed, a plan was made for how to repair the system. Mr. Richmond personally came out to our home and supervised the team making the repairs to make sure everything was done properly and up to his exacting standards. Once all the repairs were complete, he personally checked the repairs and made the sure the entire system was working PERFECTLY. The system is working great now and cooling as it should. James Richmond and the Richmonds Air team that worked on our system took NO shortcuts (like some other companies tend to do) and made sure the repairs were done not only as they should be done, but over and above what the basic repairs called for. Richmonds Air did an excellent job once again for us. You can judge a company by the fact of whether they do the bare minimum to make the repairs or they go the extra step to do the repairs in a way that will ensure that there are no issues in the future. Richmonds Air goes the extra mile to make sure their customers are taken care of and that the work they do will last for years to come. Mr. Richmond stands behind the work of his company and his employees and will make sure you and your HVAC system are well taken care of. HIGHLY recommend Richmonds Air for all of your heating and cooling installation/repair needs. EXCELLENT WORK!

It was just after midnight with my teeth brushed and ready for bed when I realized that no air was blowing out of the vents ... I could hear the compressor was working outside but apparently the blower in the attic was not turning on. I did a simple Google search and Richmonds Air caught my eye as I was looking for a small family run company as opposed to the bigger HVAC companies. I called Richmonds in the morning and Lisa kindly took my info. Calmilo G was my service tech and showed up that afternoon. He was very professional and he did a great job of accurately diagnosing the problem and prescribing the proper remedy. After Camilo fixed the issue (blown mother-board) the a/c now blows cold and I am thoroughly satisfied with the fix and I feel like I was charged a fair price... Im happy. I had two prior inspections of my non-functioning HVAC unit and both of those companies told me a completely different reason for the failure and pushed me to purchase a new multi-thousand dollar unit. I felt they were selling me snake oil. I called Richmond Air for a 3rd opinion and Jason found the capacitor was dead and required a replacement. Sure enough it fixed the unit and Jason educated me about how other companies work and warned about their practices. They have won a loyal customer! Saved me thousands of dollars.

I had a water leak from my AC unit that was dripping into one of my kids bedrooms. I debated who to call, fearing this would be a huge expense. I decided to call Richmonds Air. I had used them a while back and had a great experience. In fact, I wrote a positive review, but the skeptic in me was thinking maybe that was a one-off experience. But Jason arrived very quickly after my call, was very nice and professional, and explained the problem to me clearly and gave some good advice on how to deal with it in future. And he thankfully didnt try to oversell the repair job. It was a relatively minor fix and the cost was very fair and reasonable. So after two very positive experiences I will be relying on Richmond for all my future AC/heating needs. (Ooops, after posting this review I think it somehow deleted my initial review from a couple years ago! That was with Luis.)

Our A/C stopped working due to a faulty blower motor. I used Richmonds Air in the past for a refrigerant leak in the A-coil. After calling, a technician was sent out the same day, and we were able to get an estimate on possible repairs. This was on Tuesday. Another technician was sent out the following day to complete the repair. Apparently, the wrong blower motor was sent out for the repair, and the problem was not immediately evident because adapter harnesses are sometimes used with a motor change, meaning a visual comparison with the original is not necessarily a telling factor. It was originally thought that an adapter harness was simply missing from the box, but it was later discovered that the motor was not the correct part. Once the nature of issue was discovered, they located and picked up the part some distance away (I think Tomball area), and completed the repair Friday morning to ensure our A/C worked over the weekend. Overall, the staff was attentive to our concerns, and despite an issue in the initial repair attempt, diligently worked to resolve the issue.

Wow!! It does not get any better than Richmonds Air! We have used them for all of AC needs the past couple of years and everything that they have done for us has been GREAT! They respond very quickly and they are always timely. Most importantly... theyre honest. They are not going to try to tell you to fix something that doesnt need to be fixed just to get more money. Recently our AC went out completely (about 13 years old). We knew immediately that we didnt want to get it replaced by anyone but Richmonds Air. And we are so glad we made that decision...their pricing is fair and wow are they efficient. We live in a condo building and replacing our AC required a crane..Richdmonds Air took care of coordinating it all. (my neighbors who have had their ac replaced spent several thousand dollars more than us due to the rental of the crane and their AC people not coordinating it properly so the hourly fee was outrageous). Within 10 minutes the crane was gone, Richmonds had gotten there before and made sure everything was ready to go and no one was waiting around. In just 2.5 hours our indoor unit and outdoor unit had been replaced and the job was done! Even our neighbors were impressed they asked me, wait when did they come to replace your AC? We didnt even hear any sounds...when my AC was replaced I thought the roof was going to fall in. I know this is a long review but trust me when I saw look no further than Richmonds Air! James is great with communication and replied to my request made through Yelp within hours on a Saturday. He came out ASAP and when we realized the issue was due to my error, he changed out my filters for me and was very understanding and non judgmental of why they hadn’t been changed in a while (I had just gotten my boot off for a broken leg and hated climbing ladders, needed to change the filter). I was embarrassed to say the least that I hadn’t changed them earlier, but lesson learned.How I’m treated not just as a customer, but as a female customer with zero knowledge about the work being done which presents an easy opportunity to being up-charged is my number one concern. As a single female home owner, I’ve had HVAC/AC/Water Heater companies come out and give me a quote and the work needing to be done, I’ll consult with my dad who has enough experience to determine if things seem reasonable, as well as a friend who is in this line of work, and time and time again they’ll tell me I’m being charged too much, or dragged through unnecessary diagnostics/testing/whatever being done, and it’s extremely discouraging. When I am able to find a repair company that I can actually trust with not taking advantage of my lack of knowledge, I’m a customer for life. This is my second review for Richmonds Air. On May 11, 2018, our two air conditioners suddenly stopped working later afternoon. Within less than two hours the temperature went up to 84 degree Fahrenheit and I barely could stay inside. Again I contacted Richmonds Air around 7 pm on a Friday afternoon, I knew it was late but to my surprise, James was able to schedule an appointment on the same day. Within one hour, Gary showed up and quickly found out the problem due to the clogging of both draining tube in the attic. The clogs were removed from two pipes and the charge is $150 for both clog removal including field trip. This charge is very reasonable as I had another AC company charged me one clog cleaning for $175. It was not only the price, professional people and the good quality job which made me happy, but the fast time they can come to your door to fix the problem in this case. I already considered staying the friends house for night because the room was too hot to stay, but Richmonds Air saved this trouble for me. I have followed the good reviews from both Yelp and Google to select the companies for AC, plumping, garage door repairing and it has not disappointed yet for the services and charges. Just after these nice experiences, I started to write my own reviews on Yelp and Google. I highly recommend this company for the AC services and for sure I will call them again for future AC problem.This is a late review. In Nov. 2017, the outside power surge protection unit for one of air condition (AC) was broken and the AC for upstairs stopped working. I checked the google search and contacted Richmonds Air. Next day Tiffany showed up at scheduled time and quickly replaced the surge protector. The charge is $299 for the unit including field visit. The price is reasonable compared to another company which charged $499 from a previous visit. Overall the experience is good with job quality and service.

Since the compressor wasnt running, I thought the problem might be related to the service call. I called Jordan, it was a Saturday. He was there within two hours and determined that a switch that turned on the compressor was faulty. He had a new switch, called a contactor, on the truck and replaced the bad one. He told me there was no charge. Richmonds had just replaced our entire HVAC system earlier in the week and did a fantastic job. They will be our go-to guys for anything A/C in the future.

James and Alex and crew did an amazing job on our old Heights bungalow. We had an initial service call out to do a quick assessment. Our AC system was working but struggled to keep the house cool in the summer heat. The AC would run nonstop unable to keep the house much below 80 degrees. James recommend we replace the system and upsize the compressor unit and helped us pick the system that was right for us (our current system was getting towards 20 years old, noisy, and definitely was on its last leg). In between the initial visit and the new installation we actually had a minor issue with the compressor and they came back out to help limp us along to the installation. I cannot say enough about the unbelievable job they did. Extremely professional, they took significant steps to keep our house clean throughout the process and clean up after. We are very happy with the new unit - it is exactly what was promised. It is easy to see how this company is currently rated #1 on yelp. Anyone reading this review absolutely needs to give Richmonds Air a call.

I was having issues with my A/C unit not cooling properly. Richmonds Air came out and diagnosed the problem. The gentleman who came to my home to diagnose the problem seemed very honest and upfront. He offered a repair quote, but recommended a full replacement (as my unit is 15+ years old). Before committing to the high cost replacement, I decided to get a second quote. In the end Richmonds Air as they were about 15% less expensive than the other company for the same work. My only critique is that the person who came out to our home was impatient when explaining things and a little annoyed after I told him I would be getting a second opinion. Overall, I do recommend and plan to use continue being a customer.

Since this will be a 2 hour job, the team came the following day (today, Sunday, 1 hour early :)). The whole team (4-5 experts and Miss Alex) got it installed and running by 1.30 pm. It is blooding hot in Houston (37C plus) and I felt bad for the team - not a single word of complain and they were so friendly. Thank you !!!!Will transfer the care to Richmond Air moving forward.I just noted they were the team who came to help during the freeze in Houston a few years ago and fixed the heater (well the grid in Texas sucked and electricity was out so nothing worked for a while). 20th Aug 2023Today, 14th Feb 2021, just noted the heater on the ground floor was not working, with temp close to 0 degree C, in the morning.With excellent reviews on the internet, I called Richmonds Air hoping somebody would answer. Mr. James (owner) answered immediately, even on Sunday, and reassured me someone will be soon. Ms Tiffany arrived no more than 90 mins (masked and with shoe cover)later. We needed a second opinion. So Richmonds Air sent Jason out to take a look. This technician is extremely knowledgeable and competent. He quickly identified multiple problems and recommended a cost effective solution. He was courteous AND took his shoes off in the house. Thank you for that. The owner came out himself and inspected everything. We discussed what all was needed and he was very honest about everything. There were at least 2 items of interest he could have tried to push me to fix but admitted they were expensive and not really necessary for what they were. A third item was more of an optional extra and he explained the pros of installing it along with the price but didnt push so hard that I ever felt uncomfortable.The crew that came out for the actual work was extremely fast and efficient. They laid down blankets to protect my carpet and conducted themselves very professionally. They replaced all the accessible ducting in the attic and increased the size of my return in about 3 hours, so fast the house didnt even warm up. Not to mention installing a seal/door/flap thing over the attic entrance.The price was fair and included a cash discount.There was a small issue with condensation that lead to a water leak out of 1 vent and they had a guy there in under 45 mins. He recommended we watch it and see if it didnt solve itself once the humidity was gone from the system but when it didnt, he came back, again extremely fast, solved the problem and was gone in no time. This was all in one day. Everyone was extremely friendly and I will definitely make Richmonds Air my go-to HVAC company for service and repairs.

I called James in a panic and even though it after 5:30pm they came right over on their way home. They tested and then added a new condenser just to get it going. Saved, then the next day it kept going on and off. They warned me of that and I bit the bullet and bought a new AC / Heater unit. I checked their prices against 2 others and they saved me a ton on the same unit brand - even more than the Home Warranty deal! They installed the next day, very professionally and efficient. Richmond Air installed a new American Standard coil in our garage apartment in May 2020 (for a reasonable cost, in our opinion).In August 2021, Richmond Air responded to a concern it was no longer cooling. The technician diagnosed and resolved the issue quickly with only a service call charge.In May 2022 a technician (Luis) responded to a call it was no longer cooling. The issue was diagnosed (failed valve in the coil) and the diagnostic technician (Luis) replaced the valve in short order. The work was completed at no charge under the parts and labor warranty Richmond Air provided in 2020.Every experience thus far with Richmond Air has been very positive, and they will continue to be our first call for any HVAC issues.Thanks for the help!

For what it is worth I rarely write reviews. I only do so when my experience is exceptionally positive or negative. This one is definitely positive. Of course the AC will only go out on a weekend or a holiday. For me it was both. The owner of this company personally took my call Labor Day Monday and had a person here to service my system within an hour or so. Jason was so patient and knowledgeable answering my questions and walking me through my options. In the end a crew was here installing a complete new AC system less than 24 hours from first contact. I did pay a little more than I was hoping to but after meeting Alex and Victor who orchestrated the install of a much better system than I realized I was receiving, it turns out to be an excellent deal. Have used them twice. They replaced my stolen condenser unit last year for a reasonable price. Then yesterday the AC stopped working. Wasnt blowing any air. I called them at 6AM, the tech was there by 10:30AM (hours earlier than the original earliest time of that afternoon), diagnosed a bad blower fan in 15 minutes, returned with the proper part and had it installed by mid afternoon. The mess was cleaned up properly and everything was sealed correctly in the attic. Works perfectly now. Price for repair was reasonable again, and both times I used them they were able to work with me over the phone and bill my credit card (I live out of state and rent out the house). Professional service and reasonable prices. Very pleased.

This is not at a fake review; the Texans lost to Arizona in their opening preseason game 32-0! I recently woke up on a Thursday morning and my air conditioner was not working. I called a couple of other companies and they said they couldnt come out immediately but would schedule something for the next day. I called Richmonds AC Repair and James answered and said he could be there by 11:00 AM. He and his crew arrived shortly before 11 and immediately got to work. James replaced two capacitors and added Freon to my five ton 7 year old system and by noon the unit was cooling again. I paid $369 for the service and believe the cost was very reasonable the quick response, parts and labor. I will call him again if I have another problem!

I called these guys to get my air conditioner working better than it was. With the hot weather we have been recently having I felt like my air conditioner was blowing warm air and so instead of replacing it I called Richmonds and they sent a technician out and cleaned and serviced my unit. It was filthy and needed new parts that were either worn out or caked in dirt such as the filter. Once everything was cleaned and replaced my air conditioner was back to its former self from years before with an ice cold air. I am much more comfortable now and I thank Richmonds Air.

We placed call at 8am for A/C not working, they were at house at 11:30am. Our A/C & heater were very old so we agreed to replacement. Installation crew was at house by 2pm and work was completed at 6pm. Richie was the tech who diagnosed copacitor was not working and got A/C running till the crew with replacement came. Alex was the crews manager and they did a great job with the install.

Ive had 4 different companies at my house for various AC evaluations/fixes. These guys have been the most reasonable, straightforward, and responsive of anyone. Ive never felt like they were trying to up sell me, they explain what they are doing and why, and they help you talk through your options and make the best decision for you. Ive had two technicians come out, and both have given me their cell phone number in case I need anything. I cant recommend them enough. Would recommend James 100%. Let me tell you why... :)5 days ago my Condenser stopped working. It was 98 Degrees outside and I had no air - NOT a good situation.But I have a home warranty exactly for this situation! Right?...WRONG...(Note - my units is 30+ years old)American Home Shield assigned a A/C Tech for the repairs. It was late on a Friday Evening (~5pm), but I went ahead and called A/C Tech to explain my situation. He said there was not much he could do. That in all honesty it would be Sunday before they could get out. So Sunday roles around - and not a peep from them. I call again and he says theyll schedule it and call me Monday. They called Monday morning, and we schedule it for between 1pm -6pm. I took off the afternoon of work to be home. They finally got to my house around 6.30-7pm.Without even so much as touching the unit - he declares the compressor is BAD and needs to be replaced. Then proceeds to pitch me an entire new system.The next day my home warranty calls, says theyll cover his charges for a new compressor +installation (~$350) But I have to pay ~$2000 out of pocket for Refrigerant and A new slab. So yeah, not happening. (Im still giving AHS a chance to take responsibility and write their wrong by talking with a supervisor tomorrow)After this - I decided to just put in a new unit on my own dime. Today, about 4pm I reached out to James with Richmond Air, explained my situation and asked for a new system quote.Hearing what I was going through, without hesitating he drove an hour to to my house for the estimate. While here he offered to inspect the unit. WIthin minutes, he found a minor part issue and had my AC back in high gear.Couldnt ask for a nicer guy and seriously appreciate taking the time to keep me from sweating one more night! We proceeded with the estimate and I look forwarded to getting a more efficient system!

Had some issues installing a Nest Thermostat during the stay at home pandemic, and couldnt get power to the unit, thus resulting in no HVAC. Luckily it was a cool Houston day. Shot out a message on yelp to 3 different HVAC companies and James reached out within 2 minutes of posting. Through a phone call, some text picture messages, he was able to walk me through the issue and fix the issue. Super professional during the entire process! As Im writing this message, no other company has reached out to me as of yet. All of my future HVAC related issues will be through Richmonds Air FOR SURE.

All I’ve got to say is it’s 10pm at night on Monday and they’re still here and will be here for another hour at least after my AC unit failed at 3pm this afternoon! In a HOT city like Houston you can’t survive without air conditioning! I found them on Yelp less than 24 hours after Harvey destroyed my AC systems at my old house. Same as today, they fixed it that same day!!! They’ve never been mysterious about what’s gone wrong during maintenance visits. They’ve always been prompt and on time and they have 24 hour service by the owner. He answers the phone himself on Sunday evenings if I’ve needed it. I simply would never trust anyone else! My family and I have been devoted customers since Harvey.

I found this group online based on customer service reviews. James came by the same day I reported an issue with my old HVAC system. Instead of stating the obvious, which is that my HVAC system has reached its lifespan and needs to be replaced, he presented some cost effect options to remedy the problem keep the system going. Other companies quoted me replacement costs only. The system was brought back to life at a small expense from what I was expecting and provided me a forward look ahead in the event I do want to replace the system. James has earned my trust and business in the future.

Each time arrived on time, job was completed quickly, easy to communicate with, professional, protected house via shoe covers and such while doing work.Con: Only thing I wish was better communication when we had the evaporation coil fixed. They took out the drain plan we had just replaced with them a month ago, I think In default. I saw them carrying it out and asked them to put it back I didn’t want to be charged for another new one. They said it would take more time. They could have asked before taking out a perfectly good drain pan out put the 1 month old one back in for me and took off the charge.

Very prompt. Professional & courteous technician. Gave me good advice about the quality of my OLD Lennox ac unit. Worth the extra money to invest in a part to keep it running. Advice was, Its a good older model the Newer model is not as good. Glad part was on the truck. Got-er-done. Had 2 townhomes evaluated and in great shape except the one original 10yr old ? Dang it forgot what its called. Sorry. But it was starting to not start up the unit outside. Working most of the time and then I could listen as it starting & stopping immediately. He said thats the part thats causing the problem. He clearly only told me I might have problems soon. Thats when I told him about the starting up & stopping issue noticed a couple of times. $180 later its replacement is installed. I feel like this company isnt trying to sell you things you dont need. My son used them and was happy, so this is how I came about using them.

These guys were great! Our heater went out. We called on a Tuesday and they were able to come out on Wednesday morning. The cost for the service call was very reasonable (one of the best Ive seen from a service company), communication about when they would arrive was outstanding (we got a phone call and email), and they fixed the problem very quickly. While he was up there, the service guy took pictures of some other potential problem areas, explained what might cause these problems and gave recommendations on when to get future service and/or replacement of our 14 year old system. The service guy was polite and professional the entire time. Cant say enough good things about these guys. We really appreciate this level of service.

Last night our ac went out. I called this morning and asked if someone could come back out, perhaps the tech missed something, perhaps it was something more (we just had ano ac checkup 2 weeks ago). The gal got ahold of James, who was able to come out as soon as he finished up the job he was at. James was friendly and polite, and straightforward with me. It turned out that it was an easy fix, and because he had some extra wire in his bag he was able to take of it right then for me. I was SO pleased with Jamess customer service, and grateful that he took care of that loose wire, that I totally asked for a frigde magnet to keep just in case I ever need my ac worked on. (The fridge magnet thing is a big deal from me because usually I dont keep them.)
