Honest car shops do exist!!!Cindy at C&D Automotive was great with her customer service, communication, helpfulness, and honesty/transparency.Transmission went out on our way to Galveston from Dallas. Vehicle was towed to C&D for repairs on the advice of Tracy with Doug’s Wrecker Service (who was also great), squished into a family member’s vehicle to continue our trip. A couple hours later after we were aboard the ship, Cindy texted me something I couldn’t believe… she told me it was still covered under the manufacturer’s 100k mile / 10yr powertrain warranty, but it would need to be towed to a Subaru dealership.So not only did Cindy receive my car, she looked it up on her own accord and told me I could get it fixed for free, without C&D making any money…I don’t know how many thousands of dollars she saved me at the time of this review, but I am extremely grateful for how honest and helpful she was. That is true customer service, when you help someone out without making a sale!I even asked if I could pay them something for their trouble and she politely declined. Too bad there aren’t more people like Cindy and more companies like C&D that actually have their customers’ best interest in mind.Now, I only wish I lived closer to C&D as I would make that my go-to car shop.Thank you Cindy and C&D, I appreciate everything you did to help!!!

Had a lot of work done to my truck. They fixed EVERYTHING perfectly! The staff was extremely nice and friendly.Was it a bit expensive? Yes...BUT...WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!Ill DEFINITELY be going back for more repairs and maintenance issues!Thanks C&D!

I contacted C&D Automotive after a coworkers referral. Located locally, they were immediately accommodating to my vehicles needs and professionally took care of me. The facility staff are courteous and understanding and are good people. My vehicle had multiple issues that were not necessarily connected yet they were able to revive it despite being towed in; dead on arrival. Their work involved wiring harness replacements, seals and gaskets, air filters, and alternator generator fixes. They quickly diagnosed the problems and immediately started repairs. I have enjoyed their business and will gladly come back to see them again in the future. I am so glad to have discovered an honest business that considers their customers without deceit. Thank you all so much for your great work. I hope that others will come to realize the same service that I have experienced. Awesome people, awesome job.

Came for a wheel alignment because one of my tires was wearing unevenly. It appears that these folks are good at what they do but how do you rate the quality of an alignment? Ill know as my tires wear, I guess. The only reason that I am deducting one star is because of the cost. My car didnt need any parts but the alignment was $187, which is above the normal cost for an alignment. Will I go back for other repairs? Maybe, but next time I will get an estimate first.

The wonderful family who owns this shop deserves all the praises in the world. They are so kind and helped me out when I was stranded hours from home with a broke down car. They stayed far past closing time on a Friday evening and drove all over Texas to get the right parts that would get me back on the road the same day. They are knowledgeable and make you feel like family. I can’t recommend them enough! Don’t hesitate to bring your car here. They’ll take great care of you!!

In a last minute trip to Madisonville to pick up a dump trailer i had a major trip interuption. As soon as i got into town i had a brake, steering and electrical issue. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to get me up and running as soon as possible. The friendliness and hospitality they showed was reassuring that i had picked the right place for my repairs. Even when one of the parts failed, they made sure i was taken care of. It truely made the trip less stressful.

Was coming into town for a weekend visit when I abruptly lost the alternator in my truck period called ahead to check on Parts availability and turn around, and I was encouraged to not worry and just bring the truck by. Not only whats the stash incredibly welcoming, they absolutely treated me like family including giving me a lift to Legends Steakhouse to meet up with the rest of my party. 10/10 would return again without hesitation.

Our car broke down near by and even though we ended up having the car towed back home, they wouldnt let me pay them for their assessment of the issue. They also pulled us in ahead of other jobs they had because they knew we were trying to get back on the road. Made us feel very taken care of!

C & D is good honest people that will let you know what is wrong before & fix what you tell them right away. They stick to their word! They fixed my mom truck & communicated with me when something else came about. They also came to the home & checked out the truck due to not starting after picking it up & fixed it with no additional charge. I highly recommend them & they stand a 100% behind their word!

Wonderful people over at C&D! The water pump on my Ram 2500 went out on the way from Dallas to Houston. It was the Friday before a busy 4th of July weekend, and they were able to squeeze us in and get us fixed and back on the road. We would have been stranded if not for their kindness. I highly recommend them for auto repair.

We don’t live in Madisonville but went shopping there for a used vehicle we found online. C & D told us we could bring it by on short notice. They did a thorough inspection and were honest with their findings. They saved us a headache and a lot of money! Wish we lived closer, they would be our go-to place.

Husband - wife team. AWESOME people, awesome service with FAIR pricing!I was on my way from Houston to Ft Worth when my F 150 broke down around 1:30 pm at Buc-ee’s. 1st thought was “this is going to be expensive”. 2nd thought was “I wonder if I am going to be spending the night in Madisonville”. Called C & D Automotive (spoke with Cindy – owner) and was given a tow truck referral (Doug’s wrecker service). Tow truck arrived within 10 minutes and dropped me & vehicle off at C & Ds shop. I was told Darrell (owner) had been hunting out of state and would be arriving soon. I didn’t have to wait long. He pulled in from his hunting trip and went right to work on my vehicle! He identified the problem within 10 minutes, ordered parts, made repair and I was on my way. These people could have really taken advantage of my situation and skinned me. They didn’t. To say their service and labor fee was fair would be an understatement. They are the kind of people you always want to deal with but rarely get the opportunity to.
