He came over as soon as he finished the current job he was on. He was able to diagnose and fix my unit all within 10 minutes of being at my house! These guys are so helpful! Was able to get a next day appointment and got a call before they came to see if it could be resolved over the phone. I was able to put a temporary fix in place based on our call so I could use the appliance before they arrived. They called before they came and arrived when expected. None of that, “We’ll be there sometime between 10 and 4”! Situation was quickly resolved. I couldn’t be happier! Highly recommend!!!

We had our unit slowly going out over the past couple of weeks. I came across their website on a Google search and gave them a call. They had the most reasonable fee for them to do the initial inspection to see what was wrong. After further review, I needed a brand new unit. Chris told me what kind of unit I needed and showed me the problems. I told him I was going to call a couple other places to compare prices and do my due diligence. He encouraged that. I talked to a lot of other companies for 2 weeks and Chris answered any questions I had during that time. After getting multiple quotes, the quote they gave me was very fair and I decided to go with them. Chris’ honesty and helpfulness was the number 1 reason I went with them. They installed my unit 12 hours after I gave them the green light to do the job. I am very pleased.

Bill nix has learned and taught about all aspects of forced air and heating, also steamed heating, and under floor heating. He has studied and worked on all household and appliances combo , He has plumbers on 24 hour call if needed.There is nothing he cant do involving a/c,or heat. He can also work on tankless water heaters. He has kept my kenmore fridge working longer then its warranty ever claimed.

EDIT: I upped my rating because Bill called me to apologize after reading my review. He ended up refunding the service fee AND reimbursing me for the hotel stay. That wasnt my goal when I wrote the review, but, still, I was very pleasantly surprised that this business would go out of their way to take accountability for their actions. Because of this, Id be willing to give them another chance should the need arise in the future.I originally called Appliance & Air Care Experts to help with a failing A/C system. My A/C would go out for 6-10 hours at a time and then come back on. The indoor temps would get to a miserable 89 degrees or so, then drop down when the system kicked back on. It’s only a 6-year-old unit, so I knew something had to be wrong. The tech came out, quickly looked at my system from the inside, checked the temp of the vents, and told me that nothing was wrong and my system was doing all it could do. He suggested that it was probably an insulation issue, which didn’t make much sense to me because we’ve had hot summers before, but I’m no expert so I took him at his word. The issue kept occurring so I scheduled them to come back and take another look. I got stood up. However, the tech later communicated that he was in the hospital, so I’ll give him a pass. I asked him to come out again whenever he was able and he told me he’d be there the next morning. Again, a no-show. He finally texted me back insisting that my system was doing the best it could do. Finally, my system shut off and never came back on. The indoor temp got up to 93 degrees (on a 106 degree day) and I ended up checking into a hotel because it was pretty unbearable. I called a different company who came the next afternoon, and that tech was able to diagnose and fix the problem in an hour and a half (a broken capacitor). I’m extremely frustrated that I wasted my time going back and forth with this company, not to mention the service call fee they charged me and hotel fee I ended up having to pay because they didn’t do their job. This is purely speculation, but I have a feeling that the tech didn’t want to get on my roof to check the actual unit itself. Which if this was the case, that’s fine, but I wish I had been told that upfront. I called multiple companies before I found the one that eventually fixed my unit and two of them told me right away that they didn’t service rooftop units and couldnt schedule me. I really appreciate that they didn’t waste my time or money and wish this company had given me the same courtesy.

Chris was amazing. He came out after hours on a Friday before a Holiday weekend. We have a complex system (multiple units, air scrubbers etc.). He was able to identify the issue and worked late into the evening to help us find the issue. He also gave us some great information and remedied a couple of maintenance issues that we didn’t even know about. Ex: a clogged drain line that tripped another unit float valve. Definitely recommend this company and if you get Chris you’ll get a guy that knows his stuff!Jim A

He came prepared with parts that we ended up not needing due to a larger issue. We appreciate Bobbys transparency in letting us know that it would be best to purchase a new refrigerator instead of paying 3x the cost of the fridge to fix a faulty coil. Bobby is very personable and reliable. Billy is also very friendly. We will be utilizing this company in the future and highly recommend them.

He called in advance--thirty minutes after my initial call--to help me troubleshoot the unit so that I might avoid any repair costs. Yashua was on time, courteous, and completed the entire repair within around 15 minutes.

We used them for our rental property. The heating unit wasnt working and both Bill and Ronnie were very professional about getting it fixed. They worked with my tenant to schedule a time to repair the unit thus preventing me from having to go out there. Once there they were able to replace the broken components fairly fast. We still had problem with the heating unit not working after the initial visit and they promptly came back and fixed the problem (loose wiring of the thermostat). The cost of repair was reasonably priced.Appliance & Air Care Experts are good people. They know what they are doing and very knowledgable in their business. They have great customer service and willing to work with you. If you are like me who are always suspicious of being taken advantage of by a repairman, they will spend time with you and tell you about their diagnosis of the problem. This really put me at ease. I had a good experience with them and would recommend them to other people.

My review is long so the short story is that Chris and Honey Thompson were the technicians who came to my house. They were fantastic. They did a great job, showed me what was wrong, fixed it and taught me about a/c maintenance. All of this was after hours (10:30 pm). For any future issues, I will be calling this appliance and air care crews and requesting them.My a/c started leaking water into the bathroom and kitchen on a Tuesday evening. I made an appointment to have it looked at the next morning at 7 am. I talked to the owner and sent him videos of the leak. His technicians, Chris and Honey called me soon after and asked if they could come by as soon as I was home instead of the next morning. I was on the road heading back and wouldn’t be home for 1.5 hours. They accommodated me and showed up a few minutes after I got home. They diagnosed the problem and showed me what is wrong. They fixed it and also told me how to maintain my a/c unit to hopefully prevent future issues and make is run more efficiently. I am very happy with their work. They even checked in a few days later to make sure there were no further issues. I’ll be calling them first for any future issues.

My AC unit wasnt cooling properly so I called AACE on a Sunday morning to see if they could send someone out to take a look. Honey and Chris came out within a couple of hours of my call, and I was blown away by their customer service, professionalism, and integrity. Unfortunately, they had to break the news that my 20 year old AC unit couldnt be saved and I needed a new one. They talked me through all of my options and showed me the issues with old unit. They worked with my schedule and were able to install the new unit the next day. They worked quickly and efficiently as a team. Honey made sure to walk me through every step of the process, and even took the time to tell/show me how to take care of my new unit. I am so grateful to both Honey and Chris!

My technician was Ronnie and he was very prompt and very pleasant. Also, Bill, who dispatched Ronnie was very helpful when I originally placed the call. They conducted themselves professionally and were even nice to my dog and daughter despite the terrible, overly hot conditions in the attic. We would use them again.

I cannot recommend Yashua more highly. BOTH of my HVAC units died and Yashua came straight out, walked me through my options (which were less costly than other bids I received), and even answered questions for me afterwards despite the fact it was quite late. He then came out the next day for my install, staying till he could verify everything was working exactly how it was supposed to, and again walked me through my warranty and maintenance plan. Roger was the expert for my A/C issue. Before Roger even came out to my house to check to see if I indeed had an issue he asked me to check a few things on my own. His reasoning for that? Ive never had a contractor come on a Saturday, let alone a Saturday night, and let alone on a holiday weekend. He determined I needed a new unit to replace my 12-year old system. He put a band-aid on my old one so it would work for a few more days, and he and Hunter installed the new unit as soon as it arrived two days later. Bobby is a great guy and was diligent to fix our fridge. He replaced a damaged fan in the fridge. Soon after replacing the fan, the fridge acted up again, so he came back out a second time to find a leak in the fridge. He was able to fix the leak, help break up the frozen ice that built up, and did all this quickly. The only concern I had was the bill.. $500 just to replace a fan? And this bill was before we knew there was a leak. I haven’t had to fix a fridge before, but that seemed a bit much. Maybe it’s normal though, you decide for yourself. That has nothing to do with Bobby, that’s more about the business that created that price. Bobby was great so if you get him, he’ll do his help to help you because he cares.

However, paying almost $300 to clean out a drainage hose that took approx. 15 minutes and $100 to adjust a screw on my dryer door that took approx. 2 minutes is just a little too much! It would have been nice if they would have brought a cute female to kiss me before I was financially violated! After reconciled with the disagreement, I feel very comfortable with our misunderstanding and I feel confident this is a very reputable company.

These guys saved me the entire $160 charge for a service call. I bought an Ecobee3 Smart Thermostat and found that I needed to connect the C wire to my furnace in the attic. Rather than set up a call to connect the wire, Bill had me send him pictures of the furnace and walked me through how to do it. Im thinking it might have been worth the $160 after coming down from our 100-degree attic (:-)). Seriously, it was a 5-minute job after I was coached. Rather than take my money, they felt it was better to help me. I highly recommend them.Well, turns out the old system we had crapped out, and we had to replace with a new system. CJ, Jamie, and Ronnie showed up on time, and knocked it out in less than a day. These guys are top notch. Ronnie even recommended replacing the filter handler so I can now buy $5 filters as opposed to those $100 Trane filters on our old system. These guys know their stuff.

I needed someone to give me an estimate for A/C work on a house I was purchasing. I called a well recognized company to come out and they missed the appointment. So I called Appliance & Air Care experts based on the google reviews. I wish I would have called them first. Bill went out of his way to may the small window we had. I was under the impression we needed more work than he estimated. He told us what we needed and what we didnt and items we should consider in the future. I felt it was very accurate and that I was not being over sold.

After 3 other companies for my Samsung refrigerator couldnt fix it.i reached out to appliance &air care I was given a set time not only did I receive a courtesy call upon the technicians arrival . Technician Bobby showed up earlier and what I was expecting! Bobby was very professional quickly diagnose the problem completed the refrigerator repair! I HAVE COLD DRINKS I HAVE COLD WATER I HAVE ICE!!!! and the PRICE WAS RIGHT!!!!!

My son was out of town and came home on a Sunday evening in Dallas summer and no air blowing out of vents. Being a first time home buyer he was not up to par on checking for certain issues. After calling several other ac repair companies, we hit on these guys. It was Sunday at 9pm and they said they could get someone there Monday morning. He continued to talk me through what the issue was and before you knew it my son had the issue fixed and had cold air without even having the serviceman out. We will definitely call Appliance and Air Care Experts for all of our ac and furnace needs.

I have rental property in Dallas. I cannot make it there as much as I need to. It is very difficult to try and manage this property from afar. It worries me. I try and reduce that worry by finding people who I can trust in the Dallas area that I feel are doing the right thing when it comes to servicing this building. I believe in long term relationships. Price is important but it is not the number one criteria. For me, it is trust. The owner of Appliance and Air is a delightful fellow by the name of Billy Nix. I believe that Billy is in to doing the right thing and delivering a great service. So, I would have to say, I recommend Billy. That bad part is that Billy is too far away to service my properties here, because if he was, I would not hesitate to use him here.

Called in the afternoon, Bobby showed up the next day. Fixed ice maker and water dispenser for my brothers Bday. Bobby called in the morning to say hed be around in the afternoon. Called again when he was 30 out. He showed up and worked his butt off to troubleshoot all the issues. He was as professional and he was funny, humble and talented. He seemed genuinely happy to be fixing our fridge, even while dogs circled and tried to get him off his game. Didnt plan to make friends with the repairman but sometimes life just works that way. They gave me a reasonable timeframe and Roland (technician) called 30 minutes before getting to my house. He was courteous and draped the area around my washer to keep things clean. Roland was extremely helpful in getting our icemaker fixed. When he arrived he troubleshot the problem and was honest with me. Told me my different options with it and was honest with what would cost more or would be cheaper. We decided to repalce the whole unit and just looking at it I knew it would take me forever to put a new one in. It took Roland about 15 minutes to swap them out. Which to me was way worth the low labor cost. I will be calling them back if I have any problem with any of my other applicances. Great company.

Today was the second time Ive had a need to hire Appliance & Air Care Experts and they now have a permanent place in my phones speed dial. The first time I used them was back in early September (2014) to inspect and service the HVAC in my newly purchased 75-year old home. I was able to get an appointment the very next day (within 20 hours of my call). The Technician called and asked if he could come early (of course!). He was professinally attired, throughly knowledgeable, explained the results of his inspection and work in detail and answered all of my questions (and I had plenty). My experience today was the same. I called yesterday and the Technician, Ronnie, was at my house at 10:20 a.m. today (early!) installing my new dishwasher and microwave. He was extremely professional and cordial and allowed me to hang nearby and chat and ask questions as he did his flawless work. These guys are real pros at what they do, their prices are fair and competive, and just as important, theyre very responsive and show up when/eariler than promised--not my experience with most of the contractors Ive had working on my old house. Appliance & Air Care Experts are my go to guys for all things HVAC and appliances. Theyre A+!

That in its self wasnt so bad, but at the time I didnt have a lot of money. So my service man Ronny called the office and talked to the owner and they did the labor for FREE. I am visiting my parents home and he was more concerned about getting their AC unit functioning than he was trying to make a quick buck. (Thats a rare find in todays contractors world!)Purchased a 3 Ton 16 SEER HVAC UNITS on Wednesday, they were installed on Thursday, on Friday I was registering for the warranty, oops their 14 seer, called Roger and within a couple of hours Bill called and apologized and said they will replace the units Monday. Monday midmorning Ronnie AKA Cowboy and his sidekick Keith drove up, NO ATTITUDE, removed the 14 SEER units and installed the 16 SEER units...You just dont get that kind of service from everyone. Would definitely recommend A ACE...

I called this company after hours on a Friday. The phone was answered by the owner, Mr Bill Nix, who listened to my a/c problem and said that they could come out to check it that evening. He also suggested that I try a quick fix to see if the thermocouple device on the a/c would start working merely by turning off the unit, waiting 45 minutes, and restarting the unit to see if the cold air problem would turn back on. He told me to call him back if it did not work but suggested that it probably would operate! Amazingly his information worked immediately. I was so impressed with his kindness, knowledge and professional behavior that I am compelled to write this note. He is a true, honest, professional who has demonstrated absolute integrity today. It was not good news it was broken so no A/C Sunday night but Its Monday at 4 and I have this new Blower board up in the attic. I have no idea how they do that but they did. C J was very skilled at manipulating the dolly while bringing in new unit and taking out old. Ronnie and CJ are a great team I am very pleased with how well everything work out. Thank you very much. Very professional, honest, reliable AC/Appliance technician business. I came across AACE 6yrs ago while on a search for a 2nd opinion about my AC units which were about 3yrs old at the time (bought new home 6/07 & originals installed by home builder contracter). They trouble shooted everything and fixed things from replacing both coil units in attic in 2010 due to rusted out/leaking, to replacing the compressor in 2011 and just a couple of weeks ago replaced the main condenser unit due to the compressor going out again (apparently they last about 5yrs). The home builders contractor was price gouging and wanted to do more diagnostics when AACE came in and saw the problem with a naked eye and fixed it. I also used them for my washing machine about a year ago when the brand technicians were not available for more than a week to replace a punctured drain hose (washer was a little outside of a year old). Washing machine has worked just fine ever since. From Bill, the owner, to AC techs-Roger, Ronnie, Chris & Jorge to Bobby the appliance techs, we have really been impressed and satisfied with both services provided and will continue to use them if there is ever a need in the future.

This is a wonderful company. Last summer, I had several different AC companies come to my house and fix my air conditioner. I was using a home warranty at the time, and they didn’t tell me that the furnace needed to be replaced. It was constantly having problems, and the technicians never explained any of the issues to me. When the furnace finally went out, I called AACE. They had a technician out the same day! In 100-degree weather, that was a lifesaver. The technician came out after hours and explained in detail what was wrong. I chose to replace the furnace due to its age and constant maintenance. The technician gave a detailed list of the cost, the steps it would take to fix it, and a time estimate. He went over all of my options, which helped me make the right decision. They provided a one-year warranty on all parts and labor. Within the first year, I made the mistake of not changing the air filter. This caused a problem. When I called, AACE again came out that day and fixed it. I have had no problems since and will absolutely use them in the future!
