I called Tropical Penguin on the recommendation of a friend. They came right out and confirmed my evaporator coils needed replacement. The job was scheduled two days later and completed in a few hours. Everyone I interacted with from the company was kind and personable. The owner, Chris, is top notch … I would be happy to use them again and would highly recommend!

I found Tropical Penguin on my Nextdoor app. They reached out to me when I requested coupons for teachers appreciation week. My 82 yr old dads AC went out on July 4th and my usual guy was not available. I called Kris and he was there in less than an hour and had my dad back up and running. I hired him to do my dry vent cleaning (mine goes up into the attic and vents theough the roof), it is only $50 and worth every dime! I also hired him to do the yearly cleaning and maintenace on my AC. He showed me the blower fan inside the house was just gross! Caked on dirt and dog hair and it was impeding our air flow. Before and after pics below. He is also replacing the AC at my FIL house. My MIL is confined to a wheelchair and while they are making a decision, he set up a window unit to keep the living room cool. He is kind and caring!!! Great person to have in your pocket for all of your AC and Heating needs!!

My AC drain line was dripping excessively out to the AC unit. I called and Kris walked me through on how to do it myself. Great way to run a business, had I called elsewhere they probably would have charged me easily 150$. I recommend this business 100%

Our AC was clunking and stopped cooling last night on our new construction house we have only been in for a year. I searched on a neighborhood group for HVAC tech recommendations and came across a few recommendations for Tropical Penguin LLC.I called Kris this morning and he came out this afternoon to have a look. Very pleased with his work, thoroughness, knowledge, great attitude, happiness to explain the problem etc to me and reasonable prices. Unfortunately, our builder and the people he had install it didnt do a good job (to say the least) 🫠, especially with the duct work, and we will need Tropical Penguin out here again to fix it to make sure everything is running efficiently. But our AC is running again and I highly recommend them for any HVAC issues or installation you need!

It has been a year since we came home from vacation to No AC. I called Chris and he responded that night at 9pm. He came and got us up and running till the parts came in. Fast forward till today and we still have not had an issue. He just did a check up and once again gave us top tier service.

We had our AC go out on a Friday afternoon. They were able to come by Saturday to look at it and tell us what the problem was. We ended up needing to have it replaced, and they were able to come by the next day to do the install. We ended up going with a more expensive system as well as getting our air ducts cleaned and a few other things but we never felt pressured to buy something we did not want or need.Everyone who came to the house was very courteous, respectful of our property, and so kind! My toddler became fast friends with Kris and spent a good part of the day following and watching what he was doing. Kris was a great sport about it! They were on time and worked all day. I never once felt like they were taking their time or taking their work less seriously. We were happy to have had their expertise and advice on what would work best for our needs.It’s been a month or so now and everything is working fine and way more efficiently. I would highly recommend the folks at Tropical Penguin! Great work, good people, and very quick to get out and get our AC taken care of. Thanks again, guys!

Kris and his team are absolutely the best. Theyve done two major jobs for us (evaporator coil replacement and a new duct system) and did an incredible job - highly professional, collaborative, and very fairly priced. Theyre our go-to for anything and everything ac related - I cant recommend these guys enough!

Its hard to explain just how good Tropical Penguin is. Just look at the quality of this install; perfect clean copper bends wrapped and taped. Ive had Kris with Tropical Penguin install 2 mini splits and this complete unit (furnace and condenser) and all have performed flawlessly. I really enjoy this high efficient side discharge unit that he installed, its very quiet. Kris and his team do not cut corners like other companies Ive had in the past. And they explain everything without trying to upsell you on something you dont need. Simply, honest, hard working team that is there when you need them, what else could you ask for?

We called Kris with Tropical Penguin to fix a leak in our AC unit. He was very prompt with the initial diagnostic and even came after what I consider business hours which was much appreciated. He was the third person we had consulted about our cooling issues and was by far the most accurate. We came up with a game plan together and he came the next day as scheduled, on time. Was very transparent with his work and explained everything to me thoroughly. He also lent us a few window units to get us through the night before the repair could be made. Everything has been working excellently since he fixed it. ☺️ highly recommend and will use him again.

AC went out on my home July 4th weekend at night. Yes, your thinking exactly what I was thinking at the time…game over. Thank God I found The Tropical Penguin! Called Kris, told him my issues and not only was he there within the hour, but he had my AC fixed within the next hour! Forget every AC company you know. This one needs to be everyones go to HVAC! BTW I know anyone reading this is wondering, how much did that cost!? Let’s just say, for the work that was done, it was good value.

Back in May our A/C started dying. By the time we’d gotten a couple estimates it was NOT keeping up with the heat. Tropical Penguin came in with a quick appointment, a quote that was significantly better than the competition, and install the same week. They handled all our warranty and inspection process and have been wonderful about questions and follow-up. We will definitely continue using and referring friends to Tropical Penguin!
