    R Harris was dispatched by our home warranty company. They were dispatched late on 08/11/24 and confirmed they could have a tech out by 09:00-13:00 on 08/12/24. Robb was very professional and explained everything in detail to my wife. The Unit was found to be working fine, but we wanted to have it double checked after it was overheating and not cooling the house. Appreciate all the help!

    Want to say a big THANK YOU to my technician, Andrew. My system is extremely tricky and the high-dollar company I have been using continues to mess up. Ive met with several technicians over the years and have to say I was finally impressed with my experience. Andrew was not only able to identify the cause of my issue (two other companies couldnt), he also noticed a way to correct what the last company did (without being judgmental) to increase duct space for more air to flow through the system. He was honest, not pushing any sales and very patient explaining everything to me (several times) so I could understand. Andrew is a great technician and R Harris A/C is lucky to have him on their team!! I will be switching over to R Harris A/C & Heat and will request that Andrew is my go-to technician. Happy to refer to my friends & coworkers, too. Thanks again, Andrew!

    American Home Shield sent R Harris to look at our AC system when we reported the downstairs half was running but not cooling in our house we just bought. We were happy their team showed up early for the time slot since it was the peak of the 100+ weather. They first checked our compressors outside to make sure those worked fine, then quickly diagnosed that our downstairs evaporator coil was what had gone bad. Per AHS rules, they had to submit the diagnosis and wait for them to process, but before leaving, they turned off the downstairs compressor at the disconnect switch so that it wouldn’t continue to waste energy and wear while AHS assessed the work and costs. There was a snag with submitting to AHS, but R Harris quickly got that resolved. Of course with any Home Warranty company, AHS nitpicked at every line item and claimed exceptions where they could as “not covered”. AHS actually doesn’t give the break down, just the amount they don’t cover. R Harris actually disclosed all of that to us when AHS notified of their decision which we really appreciated. They then helped us out by working out an upgrade for an American Standard coil instead of AHS provided Goodman coil to go with our other components the previous homeowners had put in. We felt this was definitely worth it as American Standard is all around a better brand. Goodman isn’t rated the worst, but it’s nothing to write home about when you research brands. We were able to get scheduled with R Harris again for the install quickly. The install team was great. They laid out drop cloths to protect the floors in a path to the attic, and they were super careful around the walls. Our upstairs walkway is kind of tight, so I expected some marks, but not a dot on our freshly painted walls and trims! They worked quickly to get out the bad compressor and install the new one. At the end they explained how to register the component so we could get the 10 year warranty. That first blast of cool air from the downstairs vents after the repair was the best relief!

    I used R Harris for some repairs through American Home Shield. From the very beginning they were extremely responsive, and even booked me for an appointment first thing Monday morning, after I reached out AHS on Friday afternoon. Their tech Larry came out, and diagnosed the problem. He answered all my questions and was very polite and knowledgeable. They came back a few days later and completed the repairs. They were very thorough, punctual, and even waited around to fit my schedule. After doing the repairs, they waited around to test everything before leaving. They even cleaned up the area, so no trash was left behind.I would highly recommend this company. Their work and customer service is top notch.

    Really quality work from these guys...they care about their craftsmanship a lot more than my builder did apparently. They replaced a damper and my evaporator coil with a much better unit. The install looks way more sound than the way my original unit looked. The drain pan my builder used didnt even extend under the entire unit and there was no kill switch in case of a condensation overflow. Highly recommend.

    We’ve used R Harris AC & Heating since we bought our first home in 2015. Mr. Harris showed up at our house for an AHS Warranty job. I was astounded at his level of honesty, knowledge, professionalism, and his awesome sense of humor! We no longer have a warranty through AHS but we always call R Harris for our AC work. They show up fast, they go above and beyond to fix the issue and always offer a few options covering all budgets.Last year our 10 year old downstairs AC went out in the middle of June...Luis came to our house immediately to diagnose the issue. We needed a new system, coils were shot, compressor was blown. They installed an affordable system with a 10 year warranty and didn’t leave until everything was perfect. About a week ago our 20 year old upstairs AC finally bit the dust. Larry came out, diagnosed the issue, explained our options, all of which were very affordable. The next day Luis installed a whole new system for us, American Standard with a 10 year warranty, matches the downstairs unit. We couldn’t be happier, now we know we won’t have to mess with an AC, besides annual checkups, for the next decade!If you have a Freon leak, need service, want to replace an AC or maybe you don’t have a clue what’s wrong, call Mr. Harris! Robert and Luis have always treated us right, they shoot us straight, and their work is truly first rate! They are craftsman, which is hard to find in the industry. I would never consider anyone else for HVAC work for as long as I live in the Houston area! Don’t be a fool, call Mr. Harris next time you need AC work, you won’t be disappointed!Thank you Robert and Luis for everything!     One of my AC unit stopped working on Tuesday evening. I went online to schedule service and was able to get an appointment for the very next morning. The service tech, Luis, showed up on time and diagnosed and fix the problem within 30 minutes. He had all of the parts that he needed available and he never even came into the house.     Experienced, always helpful, informative, quality work, straightforward, no BS, reasonably priced, wont try to sell you something you dont need, accessible and responsive. Locking down an appointment for minor items during peak season (such as a check up) can be tough sometimes. But this is not a negative for an outfit thats in demand because they know what theyre doing and do it well. Ive been thru my share of A/C companies in the past, and in my opinion when you find a good one, its worth the wait. Highly recommended.

    We got R Harris A/C & Heating Co. for 2nd opinion because the first contractor sent by American Homeshield cannot install motor due to some issues ( ? furnace built improperly by home builder) and tech claimed the only resolution we have is to move the furnace. WTH! He is talking major dilemma 😤. R Harris A/C sent service tech Robb & thank God he came for rescue. He’s very knowledgeable of the problem & resolved it right away.
