Lee did an awesome job on our A/C! The one thing that really stood outis that he asked us if wed like to take a look at what the problem wasonce he found it. Of course, we said yes.Like a true professional he explained everything (patiently); madesure we were aware of what was entailed in the job and even asked forpermission to finish the job (according to what he showed us, and what it would cost).After finishing the job Lee went over exactly what he did and made sureeverything was working before leaving (as well as tellingus what to look out for in the future with the A/C and from other repair services should we not call on them again).I have to say Lee (and the lady - Anna - who scheduled the work) gaveus excellent service without sounding sugary sweet and fake. Lee wasactually early (about 15 minutes) on his arrival time (we saw him parkedout at the street waiting). Later he told us it was because he didntwant to disturb us before the actual arrival time.We will definitely continue to use PurAir for our A/C & Heating workin the future! Very happy experience! 5 stars all the way!!The pricing was very reasonable for the top notch and professionalwork that was done!!! Ive never had a repair man include me in therepair process. They were fair and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. Ive used Lee and his company for the past couple of years for routine maintenance of my A/C system. Lee installed our (replacement) A/C system about a year ago, on our 13 year-old house. The job was done quickly and professionally. Our comfort level improved noticeably, as our electric bill got lower from the previous years. Since then, he has always answered any and all questions and given excellent service. He had to replace a faulty thermostat, and he responded on short notice, very promptly. Service is absolutely the BEST!

We had two heat pumps and air handlers installed in our home. Lee gave us an excellent bid and outstanding service. Lee is very professional, clearly explains what is going to be done and then does exactly what he said he would do. Lee also promptly responds to phone calls. His crew was very professional and efficient. What we really appreciate is how Lee goes the extra mile to make sure everything is operating as it should. We highly recommend Purair!Update: On July 4th weekend, 2022, the starting circuit failed, leaving us with no A/C in living area. Lee provided great service, diagnosing the problem as a simple capacitor replacement and had us cool again within a day.

THE BEST HVAC SERVICE IN AUSTIN COUNTY! You can’t go wrong with Purair! Lee Jackson and his staff are Extremely Professional, Super Affordable, and get the job done in a Quick Timely Manner! We recently had a baby and when our AC went out I called Purair they were out within an hour, repaired our unit to get us through the night and we scheduled to replace and upgrade our unit the very next day! Now we have 75 degrees of fresh cool air! I have nothing but good things to say about Purair and I can’t stop recommending them to all of my friends and family! P.S. ask about the HALO System you won’t regret it!

I placed a call and the techs were there the very next day. They surveyed the situation and assessed my system. Very affordable upgraded system and installation was completed within one day. Follow up visits and calls were conducted and they came and made the necessary adjustments to the thermostat. I can now have my AC set at 77 and the house is very cool and comfortable. They are very professional and very responsive. I appreciate the follow up calls to ensure my satisfaction and comfort with the system. I would highly recommend Purair Air Conditioning to anyone and will refer them every time opportunity presents itself.

I called Lee this morning to express my issues with my AC unit and what I thought the problem was. Before sending anyone out a few hours later, he walked me through some troubleshooting steps over the phone, to get a better idea of what the problem could have been.His technician, Mark, came out and had the issue fixed in almost no time. He showed me the problem, tested it in front of me, showed me the new product, tested it in front of me as well so I could see the difference, and then put it on. It was the capacitor as I had thought. My AC was working instantaneously.After placing the part, he showed me the more expensive one and gave me the pros and cons of using it on my 11 year old unit, without trying to upsell it. He just gave facts and information which made me feel super comfortable about making an informed decision. As a young homeowner (and woman) I sometimes feel like companies take advantage of that. I did not feel that way talking to Mark. Hes knowledgeable and more importantly, honest. He also gave me some tips of what to do and watch out for in the future.Unfortunately, I will most likely have to replace my whole unit sooner than I would like, but Mark went over the different options with me as well so I could have an idea of what to expect in the future. Those rough estimates hurt, but I know that given what my needs are (minimum) and what my wants are (higher) that whatever I ended up with, I would absolutely be blown away by, and they wouldnt upsell me higher than my needs and wants combined.All in all, I am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED with both Lee and Mark. I would hands down call them for ANYTHING related to your unit. For the pricing and the stellar customer service (and dont forget their warranties!!!) you cant beat the service that you get with Purair. The last 2 companies I used at my home were decent at best at the time, but compared to Lee and Mark, I feel like I got the short end of the stick with them.Go with Purair, you wont regret it!

This company is excellent company because their customer service is way above regular service. I had problem my air conditioner on second floor, and I found this company and called them for replacement of it. They came immediate and replace it. Their excellent work is not this time. I noticed that they clean area their worked and no trash anywhere. I replace another air conditioner on first floor and used another company. I can see totally different between this company and Purair company. Other company did very bad job, left too many trash and connected PVC pipe wrong. I have to replace this pipe by myself even I paid them a lots. Purair company did good job and did not have any issue from their work. I can tell they will do to other customer same thing. Also, I had an leak of gas two weeks ago, and they came and fix it even holiday weekend. I am 100% sure that I strongly recommend to anyone this company.I asked this company back to check my AC unit since they put new one for me. It was awesome they came right after I called and gave me very good services on time. I knew they are extremely busy because we have very hot summer and I did not expect they can come soon, but they came and fix it. Service is very good, and their way to take care of customer is very good. Yes, I can recommend everybody to get service from this company. I can guarantee you you will receive services more than you expected.

In the middle of a nice, hot summer in Texas, my A/C decided to cause trouble. Mr Jackson at Purair responded in a matter of hours and promptly restored my air conditioner to working condition. He did not try to sell me a bunch of parts I did not need and, in fact, repaired the unit for less than I expected to pay. I highly recommend this company.

Durring the spring routine check for our A/C unit, made by an HVAC company, it was found to need freon. With the system being fifteen years old and the R-22 refrigerant being phased out this year, its time for a replacement. I figured we could nurse the puppy until cool weather and then replace the system.Started online research on HVAC companies...many looked good, but one stood out...Purair. So I started with them and ended with them. From the moment of contact it was obvious you were dealing with true Professionals. From the start, with arrival times, a narrow window, and a 30 minute heads up you have to appreciate, as oppose to a half day maybe window. Lee Jacksons evaluation of our system was what I suspected...replacement was in order. During this evaluation Lee noted the original builder installed an undersized return duct, ducts that had restricted airflow. One duct made it difficult to reach the furnace. This was all corrected by enlarging, plus adding an additional return, and by relocating and straightening out duct work.Every step in the process from the initial discussion of purchase options, to the installation was top notch. The installers were second to none - David Westry, sons, David Jr. and Matt went above and beyond. Besides their profesionalism with installation of the system, they built a platform from the attic entry to the furnace, using material from the pallets the units were on. With this addition and the correction of duct work, access to the filter and the furnace is now convenient. Even though it was October, it was a hot day and so was the attic. This did not deter this team in any form or fashion. The job was completed in a timely manner, they were extremely nice, and they cleaned up after completion. You gotta like the touch screen, state of the art communicating thermostat with the lighting, large numbers, humidity setting, and somewhat simple to opperate. Even for us stuck in the 20th century. We are so looking forward to this system saving energy. The real kicker is the 10 year, yes 10 years, warranty on parts and labor...does it get better than that? We consider Purair with Lee Jackson, at the helm, very trustworthy and honest. Thats probably why my gut feeling from the get go was...look no further, youve got the HVAC company you need.

Very professional, timely service and a great price. I called Purair to get a second opinion on lack of cooling and compressor short-cycle, which was diagnosed as freon leak from the compressor dryer by another HVAC. Lee answered the service call, did a quick diagnosis and gave an estimate for the dryer replacement, fixing a leak from a tube connector to the coil (undiagnozed by the other HVAC) and 19 lbs of freon refill, beating the other HVAC price by several hundreds.Purair is a winner. Would highly recommend.

On Monday morning, I got a call from my fiancée that the heat at the house wasnt working properly. Although the thermostat was set correctly, the heat would only come on for a few minutes and then shut off, and the house wouldnt get any warmer. Mid-day was approaching, and the house was at a chilly 66 degrees.Some googling suggested the problem was a dirty furnace flame sensor, and itd be an easy DIY fix. I accepted the challenge! I went home, unscrewed a number of screws to be able to reach the sensor, removed it - and found it wasnt all that dirty. I gave it a scrub anyway, reassembled everything, and found the problem had not been resolved.I shot an email to Purair Monday afternoon, and Monday evening I received a phone call, text message and email response confirming availability for Tuesday morning. Lee gave us a window of 8am-10am, and said hed call 30 minutes before his arrival. On Tuesday morning I got an email from Lee at 8:50am letting me know he was finishing up his first call, and that hed be on his way to our place, arriving within the hour. I gave him my fiancée’s number, since she was the one at home. At 9:10am he called, and at around 9:30am he arrived.He climbed into the attic to inspect the furnace. He determined the draft inducer motor was most likely the cause of the problem. Googling again, I learned this was the device that starts off the whole heating sequence. Which in our house, sounded like a baying goat. The furnace itself was at least 12 years old and had suffered some water damage under the previous owners. So I was not surprised at learning this device was the likely culprit. Lee gave us an estimate to replace the motor. One more google, and I learned his estimate was below the average amount for replacement. The cost of the motor itself was much less, but I was happy to pay for the expertise of diagnosing the problem, finding a compatible replacement, and installing it correctly.As a side note, Lee also provided an estimate for replacing the furnace completely (given its age and water damage). What I found refreshing, however, was that he didnt lead with the furnace replacement cost. Theres a marketing strategy called anchoring, where if you lead with a high priced option and follow up with a lower priced option, the lower priced option automatically sounds more reasonable - regardless of the propriety of either of the prices themselves. I dont fault anyone for using that strategy - everyone has to make a living. But the fact he avoided doing so gave me greater confidence in going with his suggestion. Furthermore, he added that if replacing the motor did not resolve the issue (or if the issue returned within 30 days), he would refund us the price of the motor and apply it to the cost of replacing the furnace - which I feel to be an excellent policy and effective at building greater trust.Lee let my fiancée know that hed have to get the replacement and come back to install it, and gave her another window of 2pm-4pm. He called at 10:45am letting her know that he had already picked up the part and could be back sooner if her schedule permitted. Happy to have the problem resolved sooner rather than later, she agreed. At 11:10am he returned, and by 11:30am he was done replacing the motor.The heat now works as intended, and no longer gives the hideous screeching that signaled the heat was coming on.We found Lee to be punctual and professional in all our interactions with him, and determined the cost to be very reasonable. We would not hesitate to call on Purair for HVAC services in the future, and recommend them confidently.

We have been with out A/C since before Thanksgiving. We didnt think there was any rush to get it fixed since it was winter. Well, it was SUPPOSED to be winter. Old Man Winter failed to show, though. So we called Purair and he got a quote together for us pretty quick. As soon as we were ready, he drove down to Angleton and changed out our entire system all in one day! I am now sitting here, enjoying nice cool evening in my house. We have know the owner for a good number of years and can comfortably say that he is an honest business man, who will do right by his customers.******Update****** I have been in my house for 20 years. Last night was the first night I was able to sleep in my bedroom(which is the converted garage) without a window unit on!! That also means no more space heaters in the winter!! I wish I could give him 10 stars!!
