We had a great experience. We returned from out of town and our furnace was out. Our house had just been put in contract and the close was pending. Harsh weather was expected with extremely low temps. We contacted Performance Heat and Air looking for assistance to repair our Trane Furnace. They not only responded on site within hours, they also replaced our furnace blower and determined it was still under factory warranty. That night and weekend temps were at 17 and below. The guys were friendly and professional. So nice to know great service is located right here in Mansfield.

I called Performance Heat and Air for a second opinion on a Trane compressor fan motor, and I’m so glad I did. Jessica was super helpful she explained everything clearly, explained the pricing, made sure all my questions were answered, and got me scheduled quickly. David was our tech, and he was awesome! He was really friendly, professional, and took the time to explain what he was doing. He replaced the fan motor and even fixed a rattling noise we’d been hearing. Now our system is running great and much quieter! I’d definitely recommend Performance Heat and Air.

After receiving two huge bills from my electricity provider only three months after I moved here, I called the number on my Honeywell thermostat thinking something was wrong. They sent Chris from Performance Heat and Air for $119. He was very informative, checked my system, was easy to talk too, and set my thermostat accordingly (because supposedly I live in an energy efficient home). He also left me with brochures to help understand my system and better improve my new home. This information would have been great when I first bought the house. Thanks Chris!!

We have used performance heat and air for almost 20 years and been extremely satisfied. We built a new home 3 years ago and they helped immensely throughout that process. We still use the for bi-annual maintenance checks and the service is outstanding. My heat pump was having issues, service tech was out very quickly and the diagnosis was my 16 year old unit was in trouble. Richie one of the owners was out next day and we worked on getting a new Trane Heat pump system. They were out next day and the three service techs were friendly, knowledgeable and did an excellent job. My new unit and the way they installed the return air and the vents have gotten the rooms that never seemed to be a cool as the others to all work properly. I am very happy with the whole organization. I highly recommend them.

Called Performnce Heat & Air after another company, provided by our home warranty came out and told us our heater wasnt working because it wasnt being maintained and cleaned correctly....not cool considering we are on a regular filter subscription every 3 months and have a yearly inspection each year via the home warranty we keep. This failure to maintain conveniently voided any further coverage by this home warranty service which we had just switched over to 4 months ago. Anyway-I digress... I called locally owned Performance Heat & Air and they came out on date, ontime, professionaly identified themselves and wearing shoe covers. They quickly determined the units were clean and even mentioned it was apparent they are maintained. The 4 red error lights which were on the board was quickly noted to have burned out, as cause. The repairmen, Jesse and David ordered the part and were back the next day first thing in the morning to switch out the board. Again, both men worked efficiantly, professionally, and had my heater working perfectly. As it turned out-the cost of the board being replaced was less than the cost of the clean the other company wanted to charge. Thank you Performance Heat & Air. Small business owners really do care about their community. Attached is the burned board.( Easily should have been identified by a professional company. ) Performance Heat and Air- you rock!

We wanted a heat pump installed in a house built in 1915 with added renovations over the years. Installation was quite a challenge since building codes in the past were different or nonexistent and construction methods and materials depended on whoever held the hammer at the time.Working with team of Drew, Norman, Caine and Abdul from Performance Heat and Air was great. Drew and Norman spent extra time planning the equipment and layout options before beginning. Caine and Abdul were professional and careful as they installed the equipment. When the design had to be modified to avoid problem areas, the whole team evaluated the possible options and reviewed them with us so there were never any surprises on our part.In the end, we are very happy with the planning, installation and results obtained and recommend this company without reservation.

Got a new Trane 2-stage and tam9 air handler installed. I got about 4 different quotes and felt the best about Performance. Heat & Air and best communications of the four. The install guys seem to be very thorough and meticulous. Even fabricated the intake plenum to meet my needs.. At the end, they tested the system thoroughly, including freon levels and after they left could not tell anyone was even here. I highly recommend Performance Heat & Air!

Im late getting this out but these guys are the best Ive ever worked with. My system was installed when my house was built and there was some installation issues that caused other problems. I emailed them and provided pictures and these guys called me within 10-minutes after receiving the email and scheduled for their guys to come out the following day to resolve it. They replaced the entire system, except for condensing unit. My unit was installed 4-years ago. I cant express how awesome they are to work with. They definitely have a customer for life, as well as everyone I tell my full story to. I have not been disappointed!Previous review from install in 2018I cannot say enough great things about Performance Heat and Air, and Chad Wells! When the heating system on one of our 3 HVAC units started failing recently we decided to get bids from a few companies and replace all of the HVAC systems in our home. I found Performance Heat and Air online, I read the reviews and decided to call them to get a bid. I am so glad I did! Chad came out, looked at our old systems and asked us what type of system we were considering getting for replacement. I told him we really did not know what our options were, we just wanted something that would be efficient and would properly heat and cool our house for many years. He sat down with us and explained the 3 types of systems available, and their differences and advantages. He did not pressure us in any direction, just let us know how each type worked and what made them different, and allowed us to choose what we thought would be the best fit for us. Purchasing 3 systems is a huge investment. We were getting bids from other companies but price was not all that I was interested in. I wanted a company that had a good reputation, sold a good system and really cared about the customers and providing the best possible service. I really think we got this from Performance. The other companies were telling me what they thought we needed to get, Chad took the time to educate us and let us decide what we needed. We chose to purchase 3 variable speed Trane HVAC systems and I must say they are amazing! We have only used the heat thus far but the comfort level of our home is 100 times better than it was. If you need service on your HVAC system or are considering a new system for your home I highly recommend you call Performance Heat and Air! Do your homework, shop around, but make sure Performance is on your list. I talked to a total of 4 companies Performance was the 4th to come out and bid and I can truly say I saved the best for last. They gave us the best price, the best service, and the best system!

They provide amazing service every time. I do wish I had received additional quotes before making a final decision due to cost. It was expensive. They did however give us a better unit for the same price due to their inventory. We used the no interest payment through Wells Fargo. Which is a nice option they provide, but if you pay cash it’s $4000 less. Basically, I feel we paid the interest. With all that being said, they are a great company to personally work with and I would highly recommend them for any repair needs and consideration for a new system.

Owning a home for over 30 years one meets many, many service people. We had work done by Performance Air and Heating. The service persons name is Mason. He had the biggest welcoming smile when I opened the door. That was a great beginning!!! He was neat and clean and respected our flooring by putting on shoe covering. The heat here in Mansfield TX, was over 100 No complaints from him and no shortcuts on the maintenance he had to do. We know he actually went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. He was respectful and very professional. I would rate Mason a 5 Star and have him in for a raise and a promotion. Also, I rate Performance Air and Heat a 5 Star as well. I know they were over booked because of the record-breaking heat, yet they did their best to fit me in and kept communication with me the time frame their repair person would arrive. I found Performance Heat and Air on TGCL. I am very glad that I made the call to schedule an appointment. I did not have an emergency, but my appointment was made and kept within 48 hrs. My tech, Drew came out and spent over 2 hrs diagnosing and cleaning both of my units. He made every effort to correct bad work from a previous AC company. He even offered to install water detectors in my attic. This has been a major concern of mine for a long time. He didn’t have have these on his truck, but came out the next morning to install these. Drew completed the work and made sure everything was working as efficiently as possible. I asked for his business card, and told him that he was my guy from now on. Our 22-year-old AC/heat pump system died in the middle of the July/August 2022 heat, with outdoor temps consistently above 100 degrees.I found Performance Heat and Air on The Good Contractors List, visited their web site, and made a call. The service technician, Chris, arrived the same day, found that the AC compressor was dead, inspected the air handler unit, and suggested that due to the systems age and inefficiency, we should consider replacing the system. There was no pressure, no sales pitch; he contacted his office, and despite the fact it was well after 5 p.m., they returned his call and said their consultant would be out the following day between 1-3 p.m.Drew called the following morning and actually arrived ahead of schedule. He was very helpful, providing information on different systems, costs, and rebates; and after some paperwork, he was able to schedule installation to begin between 6:45-7:45 a.m. the next day.The installers arrived on time, were friendly, professional and courteous, took time to explain the programmable smart thermostat, and checked the vents in each room once the system was up and running. An inspector from the company arrived to check their work when it was near completion. In all, installation took about five hours, and the house was cool again within an hour.For most of us, major purchases — a car, a home system, a home repair — usually come with apprehensions about price, quality, and value. Performance Heat and Air made this a very good experience — Im confident we picked the right company and made a good purchase.

Very impressed with Performance Heat and Air Inc. for many reasons. KaCee, office manager was awesome to work with while getting quotes. She was very helpful, explained things, and was up front about pricing. I got many quotes for my AC job and this was one of the few companies that didn’t try to up-sell everything. Other companies I got estimates from were pushing the sell so hard it was painful. Performance gave me a very fair, competitive quote for what I actually needed, not all the upgrades and commission products most other companies push hard to sell. Their quote was actually the most competitive by a long shot of all the ones I received.Repair/maintenance day was equally impressive. Abraham was a true professional, very thorough and detailed, spent extra time to explain things and did an awesome job. Put tarps down throughout the house to ensure no mess was made, left the space cleaner than when he arrived. Very friendly as well. No extra/hidden charges and even helped troubleshoot other issues not even related to the repair job.This company gets a solid 10/10 from my family. It’s good to know their is still dependable, honest, reliable companies out there looking out for the consumer. I liked Richie Blackman right off and had a good feeling about using this company and I was right. The installers were polite and respectful and so quiet. They did a remarkable job. The old unit in the attic was in a horrible location, a cramped spot which was in the way when entering the attic and also made it very difficult to work on. They relocated it, made a floor for it to sit on with easy access to it and it made the attic look completely different (in a very much improved way), I couldnt be happier with it. They are very reasonable in their pricing, they do a good job and they are prompt in their response to you and Im glad I can say I have a great A/C company that I can depend on. I highly recommend this place!!I had a repairman come out to my home because my house kept getting hot. It was a weird problem, because it would not happen all of the time, and normally it only happened on hot days. Said repairman looked at my system for about 10 minutes before he decided that it was low on refrigerant and needed a whole new system. He left an estimate and took off. So I called one of my friends that works in the a/c industry and told him the story. His name is Chad and he works at Performance Heat and Air. Chad personally came to our home and looked over our system. He found that a capacitor had not been properly installed. Once he rearranged the wiring, the unit started, ran, and started cooling the home. He hooked up his tools to the unit and found that the unit was fine and that our 7-8 year old unit doesnt need to be replaced quite yet. Chad did confirm that the unit does have the old refrigerant in it, !and at some point we will have to change to the new stuff, and explained why. Also, instead of just dropping a price and leaving he spent a while explaining all of the different options and what to be preparing for when the time comes. I know he is a friend, but we were prepared for him to tell us the same thing. Its good to know honest people like him in this world. Big thanks to Performance Heat and Air, and of course Chad. We will be using only you guys from now on.

At that time I had a long list of questions that I was asking each of the three companies we met with in hopes of making an informed decision for this major purchase. John answered all my questions but he also educated my husband and me regarding so much more relating to having a new HVAC system installed. On January 20, 2021 Performance Heat and Air installed our new Trane 18 Seer Two Stage XL-18i AC with the compatible heating system. The entire installation process went very smoothly and the install crew was friendly, efficient and cleaned up everything when they finished. I think they went above-and-beyond. Because it is only January I cannot comment yet on the AC portion of the system but right now I am excited about how the heating system is performing. I can certainly recommend a 2-stage system because it is so efficient at keeping the house at a constant temperature and doing so quietly. With the old system it was either too cold or too warm.I can, without reservation recommend Performance Heat and Air!

Performance Heat and Air replaced my leaking evaporator coil due to a manufacturing welding leak, even though my warranty had just expired less than 3 days before. Tyler from Performance Heat and Air came by with the coil within 1 week and had it installed and working in less than 3 hours. Very professional bunch of guys. The 3 gentlemen that came out to our home were very professional, since the moment I opened the door. They were on time and very cautious by wearing face masks do to the virus issue going on at this time. They gave me a time frame of 3 hours and they actually finished a bit before the 3 hour time frame I was given. They were Very polite and explained what was happening and how they would fix issue. We had no AC on Saturday July 31st, 100 degrees outside . Shane called me right back , worked us in, in less than 2 hours . Tyler was HVAC specialist that came to make repairs.He had it diagnosed in 10-15 mins, we had AC back on in 20 total minutes ! 10 STARS!!! This, is why we go nowhere else, for our service.
