I was fortunate to be referred to this company by my independent HVAC man about 20 years ago. Everyone from the admin staff to the qualified technicians to sales has been great to work with. Honest, fair, knowledgeable. Theyll try to help over the phone to see if they truly need to make a service call. Theyll come by on their way home. Ive had everything from minor repairs to full new systems installed. I wont call anyone else. Give them an opportunity, you wont be sorry. (I could name names, there are so many though!) -

We had an issue with our home’s HVAC system over the weekend and Modern Air’s team called immediately and had a tech out to analyze the situation on Monday. Ended up being an issue with thermostat and they helped us submit the device for warranty claim to save us on the replacement. Highly recommend their services! -

Modern Air (formerly Ratterree) is not perfect, but over the last 2 years with having both our downstairs and upstairs units completely replaced, they have worked to troubleshoot problems and get things to work correctly.In particular, Erick Diaz has been very responsive, helpful, and is a great asset to Modern Air. I appreciate Mike, Bryant, Greg, and others’ efforts also.I recommend them to you. -

Excellent work and fair pricing from the technicians. They came out and did everything they could do to avoid having to add more to the current issue. They even replaced the thermostat that was fried due to my mistake of incorrectly wiring it causing all of the issues in the first place. I found them on the Good Contractors List and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company for any HVAC needs. -

I have used these guys for years to maintain our ac, or for unexpected repairs and they promptly respond. The office staff has always been polite and responsive. When a repair was needed the technician (Erick) diagnosed the problem and fixed it at a fair cost. I highly recommend them for repairs and service. -

Greg just serviced our two heaters for the winter. I asked about installing a damper in our master BR. He spent time tracing our ductwork & informed me a damper was already installed & showed me how to use it. He also helped with several issues that were not part of the discounted winter service. I ask if he had always worked for Modern Air and learned he had worked at a big service provider but the focus was on the numbers. He wanted to help people so joined Modern Air. Thank you Greg. You always do a great job and I appreciate it! -

So, our office building is serviced by Ratterree- as that is who the landlord uses. I can say that I am THOROUGHLY impressed with the service Mike & his guys give. We had a few problems with our system due to its age and Mike was on top of it every time with excellent communications. While I should have written this review sooner commending him, todays random call just to check on us personally by Mike made me think this was the time to let everyone know what a great job they do.If you need a company that wont leave you hanging, I suggest you call Mike and his team. -

Amazing service! Had a control board fail on a furnace and they were available to come out same day over the weekend. Communicated well and were well within the 1hr window provided for the appt. Their customer service has already given me the confidence as a long term customer. The tech was courteous and offered many solutions none of which were pressured sales pitches. -

After a long battle with the pump of my mini split ductless air conditioner which was always malfunctioning, Greg and Alex came to the rescue with a new solution which seems to have done the trick. Turns out it was installed improperly (by another company) and the tiny pump inside was fighting against gravity to rid the unit of the condensation which would pool up and spill out of the unit itself because the pump couldn’t keep up with the high humidity here in recent Texas summers...! Greg and Alex ended up drilling a hole in the wall where the condensation could drip out bypassing the pump itself. I’m grateful to them for their courteous service, a reasonable price to fix it and I would recommend this company, and especially these two knowledgeable technicians to others who may have a mini split which not everyone knows how to install or to even work on! Thanks Greg and Alex! -
