    05/30/2024Quickly diagnosed a problem on unit for bedrooms. Unfortunately part was not available at any supply house. Had to wait for manufacturer to ship. They came back and replaced the part. A/C works great now. Signed up for maintenance agreement on both units as well.DEC 2024Lake City is amazing! We are remodeling & needed to move 2 thermostats today so tape, bed & texture could finish up. Called them at 8am & left a message. They got back to me in minutes & Danny was here at 11:00. He sent a text when he headed our way with his picture. He did great work & was very friendly. So impressed I inquired about a service contract. We will sign up for that as well. Can’t say enough about them. First time using them & they were fabulous!!

    Everyone we spoke to at Lake City was professional and responsive. They called back when they said they were going to, and showed up on time. We had them install a mini split system in the garage, and they did an excellent job. Everything was very neatly done, they left no mess, and actually took some extra steps to make sure the unit wouldnt create any outdoor mess with condensation. I would definitely recommend them for any HVAC service!

    Highly recommend. Weve been using Lake City Service for our HVAC systems for 5 years. Theyve replaced parts and repaired leaks in 2 units installed in 1997 a few times for us and kept them running! And theyve replaced one of the old units that finally failed. Theyre always on time and professional.Update: We’ve now been using Lake City Service for 8 years and they’re still just a dependable.

    Great service and a job done quickly! Danny was professional and extremely knowledgeable without high pressure sales. We ended up buying a new air conditioning unit and he explained everything and had it installed by the next week.     Our thermostat had gone out due to a tripped fuse without our knowledge. After resetting the fuse, the Nest that was in our home when we bought it would not start up. Tried a new thermostat with no better results. Being a bit of a handy guy, I troubleshot the system to the range of my knowledge, but still no thermostat.Upon purchasing a new float switch at AACA Supply, Lake City (among others) was recommended to me by the salesman. I called, they happened to have an opening within a couple hours. Great!!Danny showed up, too a look around, made a few electrical tests and traced the issue to a shorted with at the outside condenser unit. Well, that was above my pay grade, and yaahooo!Not only was he quick with the solution, he was very polite, professional, and informative. He picked up throughout the job, made little adjustments, replacements, etc, that could easily be left up to the homeowner, and extremely thorough overall.Ill recommend Lake City to everyone I know!!!

    Our AC unit upstairs stopped working and we did many things to try and find the problem and couldn’t fix it. We called another company first and they didn’t troubleshoot, just wanted us to buy a new unit. That’s when we remembered hearing great things about Lake City Service Company. We decided to give them a call to get a second opinion. From the initial phone call to schedule service, to the guys that came out, everyone was friendly and professional. It actually felt like a trusted family member or friend was at our home working on the unit. They were friendly to our kids as they were working on the unit outside and in the attic. They actually did troubleshooting to find the problem, unlike the first company that came out. They found the problem and fixed it quickly. They didn’t try to upsell us or charge us for things we didn’t need. Actually, the cost was extremely reasonable and affordable. Everyone should us Lake City Service Company. We definitely will only be using Lake City Service Company from now on. Thank y’all so much for getting our house cooling again!

    Our AC was not working well on the lower level of our house. Jeff first came out on a Thursday to recharge the refrigerant and said something else is going on. Danny came out the next day, went in the attic and found the broken part. He had to go to a supplier to pick up the part and installed it on Saturday.. Took a total of 3 visits between Jeff and Danny but the service was exceptional and we have a cool house with summer upon us. Would definitely recommend this company . Great service!

    We initially hired this company more than a decade ago to replace the AC and heating system in our home. At that point, the system was likely the original system from the 70s. When we chose this company, we got bids from a number of companies before settling on this one. Will this company send someone out in a suit and tie? No. What they will do is send someone out who not only knows what they are doing and does it well, but also will have competitive pricing all around. Weve recently remodeled our home and called them back out to double check the duct work while the attic was as open as it has been in a long time. Every time weve had them come out, theyve been responsive, great to work with, and reasonable. They didnt even charge me a couple of times because the time here was so short. They are my go-to company for any A/C work. I asked my wife what she thought of them as well. Her response? They feel like family. I wouldnt go to anyone else for AC work.

    Just had my checkup on one system and they saved me a big bill for what could have been a blown compressor on my 4 ton.I really thought I changed the filters on that unit, but had not, and they caught my mistake, I was thinking of the other unit, these were really bad.CLOGGED FILTERS can cost you THOUSANDS in a blown compressor.Also they did a repair on the three ton for a very fair price and it is running good now.I have known Jeff and his service at Lake Cities for 20 years. They are honest (RARE these days) ALWAYS do excellent work, go above and beyond , and my system he installed then is still running good.

    I had LCSC come to my home for a walk through where several options were discussed, ranging from completely replacing all my duct work to a mini-split system. After moving around my home and getting to feel my current A.C. system moving air, Danny was able to assure me that it wasnt all that likely I would actually need either of the previous mentioned options. My main complaint had originally been hot air building up in my master bedroom, even when the A.C. and ceiling fan was running.I was assured that on top of performing normal maintenance on the blower and unit itself, that hed climb into the attic and take a look at the condition of my duct work which I had been pretty head strong about wanting replaced.I was pleased to hear that my duct work was in really good condition, except for a little wear, where the insulating for the duct had started to come undone. My issue, apparently stemmed from not having an air return in the master bedroom to allow hot air to vent out.The good news was delivered to me while they were onsite with my significant other and I was at work. They even gave me two options for how the work could be performed and I decided to go with the more costly of the two options for aesthetic reasons.Thats a right, a company who Ive never dealt with in the past was willing to tell me the truth, forgo unnecessary work / charges despite my original request to have the ducting completely replaced and ultimately give me an all around wonderful experience.What was originally planned to cost me in the ball park of $1600, ended up being just shy of $500.If only more companies could operate like this shining example of excellence!Thank you, to the entire Lake City Service Company team for a wonderful and pain free experience!

Our other units are getting old, but they did not try to sell us new units. Jeff Gappinger, the owner, gave us a great price, and made sure we were happy with our experience. Unit was then recharged with R410A (recovered during evacuation) + additional required & resembled. Exceptional Job well done!!
