I recently had Kyle Krause from Koala Cooling come out to inspect both the indoor and outdoor AC units to see why my AC has been struggling so much recently. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. Kyle was not only highly knowledgeable and professional but also incredibly detailed in his inspection. He clearly laid out all the issues 6 years of non maintenance has caused. He laid out all of my options without any sales pressure, giving me various maintenance plans and packages to choose from.He replaced the capacitor on the outdoor unit today quickly and without issue, and I’m looking forward to completing the other necessary maintenance steps to improve the indoor air performance and quality. As someone with two dogs that shed a lot, I really appreciated how Kyle discussed solutions to address indoor air quality, which is something I definitely need.Overall, Kyle provided fantastic service. He’s the kind of HVAC tech you trust immediately and look forward to working with again. I highly recommend both him and Koala Cooling!

A little over a month ago my AC went out in the middle of a 100+ degree heat wave.We came home from work/camp on a Wednesday and the inside temperature was 94 degrees! I thought keeping my home warranty for the last 7 years was wise because with a 20+ year old AC system I knew this day would come. It was not wise. AHS came out 2 days later on a Friday afternoon and still wasn’t able to give me all the info such as cost, timeline, etc. I called a couple places to get an idea of what a new system would cost while I waited. When I called Koala, Zack was so helpful in explaining the various systems, recommendations, install process, timeline, and finance options. He even gave me his cell phone in case I had questions over the weekend. By lunch on Monday, I was nearly certain they were the best option. He met me at my house. Reviewed and clarified a few points. By Monday evening the finance side was done and a crew would be there the following day for an install. Hector and David (father son team) installed the entire system the next day.Luis came out the following morning to see what small items needed to be done to bring it up to current city code. He then came back a few days later and spent an entire day adding all the things to pass the city inspection. This old house needed lots of little time consuming things.The customer service from everyone I interacted with was amazing! Michelle, Luis, and Zack especially were fantastic. Everyone was very considerate in cleaning up any dirt or debris. It was a bit stressful being displaced for nearly a week with 2 elementary aged kids and school starting. I hate making these big financial decisions, but you all made it so easy with clear easy communication and explanations. Thank you so much for taking care of us. The Tiffs treats was a really sweet touch. I’m a customer for life!

Had an issue with the unit that was initially installed. It was the first cold spell so I didnt know until now that a heating element was faulty from the factory. Dillon came in, troubleshot, and explained the fault. After diagnosis, left to get the replacement part it and it was replaced without issue within an hour of him leaving. The whole process was not only same day, it was done the same morning. A 3 hour window. I am very pleased.

Koala Cooling is the greatest! I’ve previously used Kangaroo roof in the past and had a 10/10 experience, so had a hunch that Koala Cooling would be phenomenal. My already high expectations were exceeded by a massive margin! Amanda was the technician doing a quick service check-in on my AC system, she knocked it out of the park with sharing photos and educating me on the health of my system, while also prioritizing what is necessary in the immediate future, and other great recommendations for now/later. Michael is an example of why I have kept Koala Cooling for almost 5 years now. Its because I feel comfortable having them at my house. Its inconvenient to have scheduled maintenance at the house, but they do everything they can to make it nice. They communicate via text. They are friendly and unobtrusive when theyre here. And MOST IMPORTANTLY, they DO NOT use hard selling tactics on you. Every time they come here I know theyre going to take care of some things for free, and propose a bunch of things that might cost money. I could have the Ferrari of all HVAC systems including all the high tech accessories. But they never ever pressure me to buy something, or make me feel like its an emergency if I dont.And they are good at emergencies also. The HVAC system I have right now was the first of its kind that theyd installed. It took A LOT of extra hours for them to get it perfect, and then an unexpected issue with it later took a lot more hours, and involving another contractor. (Theres no way they made money on this installation.) But they were determined, diligent and positive through it all. There was zero question of their commitment to get it right. And I can tell their quality through the quality of their associates. The drywall and paint contractor that they brought in was absolutely excellent in every way.But when it comes down to it, the reason I want them as my HVAC company is because of the routine maintenance. I have never met Michael before today, but I knew exactly what to expect. I knew hed be clean, friendly, polite, knowledgeable... and something else Ive noticed about Koala Cooling guys is that there is always something interesting about them that comes up in conversations about the unit that I can tell is why they are a good fit for the team. In this case it was Michael sharing with me about his cigar bar at his house that he has set up a special air filtration unit for.There is always something about each one of them that makes me think if this person was a coworker of mine Id consider them a friend. Its just nice.

We had Amanda and Zak come out to do an inspection of our HVAC system as our unit is struggling to keep up with the heat. They were both incredibly kind, thorough, and walked us through every part of our system to help us understand what would be the best way to help our system out. They were incredibly thorough up in our attic inspecting our ductwork for any leaks or inefficiencies and even let me come up with them to point out specific issues. Everyone we’ve dealt with at Koala has been extremely kind, patient, and professional. They aren’t the cheapest, but they absolutely are the best we have ever dealt with. 10/10 recommend.

All of the YES! Let me first get this out of the way, and say that never, in my all years of dealing with companies and contractors at our home, have we had customer service like this. Koala Cooling delivered what other companies wish they could. Michelle, Im not sure of her title, but maybe the area manager, has been an absolute god send and she got sh!t done!!! We had a foundation repair (not with Koala), and ended up needing a plumbing inspection after it was finished, to certify our warranty. So Koala is sent to us by our foundation repair company (we did not choose them to start), and Daniel was the first person we met. And let me say, we would absolutely invite Daniel to our home for dinner anytime! He was probably THE nicest, most down to earth, real person. He was so respectful of our home, our time, and our wishes. We ended up needing a pretty significant repair done, requiring major construction. While the work crew that came out, who was contracted through Koala was not stellar, and caused some damage to our property, Koala took the heat for it and made everything right. It wasnt Koalas fault, but they took responsibility and made sure that we were happy. Everyone followed up with us, and communicated. Each time one of their team members would call, it was like talking to a friend. Every single person was truly genuine and kind, caring, and paid attention to every detail. I really felt that their prices were fair, considering the large scope of work that had to be done. If we need any service again in the future, which, Im sure we will, I would ABSOLUTELY call Koala. Weve been through the ringer on home repairs and upgrades, and Koala was hands down the least painful company to work with. Also, their truck is so stinkin cute I didnt mind it being in the driveway, and next time we need them, I might have to hit them up for a koala shirt! But in all seriousness, we are so pleased with their work quality, their communication, their friendliness and attentiveness, that I cant recommended them enough!

This company is outstanding! If youre looking for the best customer service, friendly and professional technicians, and results that matter then Koala Cooling is the only company you should consider.We had Amanda and Jackson out to do a system check for our 1 year old American Standard system, installed by Koala. Both Amanda and Jackson were extremely friendly and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently while providing lots of insight with what they were looking at. They found that our fan motor in the outside condenser was over amping (good find!). The owner, Scott, was great to speak with. He honored the warranty fully and was happy to do so. You just dont get customer service like that anymore. And Renee was also a delight to speak with in regard to getting services scheduled.Amanda returned a couple days later to replace the fan motor. She was fast and thorough. I understand that shes a newer team member with Koala but I can tell shes is and will be a very valuable asset to Koala for years to come.Thank you for keeping our house cool and making us feel extremely confident with your services.

Amanda just came out to do our bi-annual inspection of our HVAC system and found that the roofers that just replaced our roof two weeks ago disconnected certain vents and did not reconnect them, potentially leading to dangerous carbon monoxide issue in our home. She was amazing in explaining the details to us and corrected the situation right away. She triple checked other components and recommended we have some other services come out to do a thorough inspection for things she is not authorized to work on, to be sure that the roofers did not cause any other problems. With all the roofs being replaced in the area, I highly recommend giving them a call to have an inspection done, to make sure you are not in the same situation. They come out twice a year for us and we will continue to have them inspect our units! Happy with their services!

I decided to use Koala Cooling after seeing a post from the owner in a local group on Facebook. From the first call, the customer service was excellent. It was very easy to schedule an appointment and they even sent me an email with a picture of my technician before he arrived. He arrived on time and was very professional. Our appointment was for a spring check up, and since our unit is old I expected to be sold on a new unit (as has happened in the past), but Elysha was very transparent and never once recommended a new unit. There was one part that wasnt performing correctly, and he showed me exactly what he was seeing on his equipment and explained why he was recommending replacement. After his full check up was complete and he replaced the part, he walked through a check list of everything he tested and how it is performing based on factory specifications.Overall the experience with Koala Cooling is the best experience Ive had with a AC company to date. No high pressure sales pitch or shady recommendations for replacements that I dont need. I signed up for the Koala Club and will definitely be using Koala Cooling for any AC issues in the future!

With this crazy heat we had problems with one of our units 3 hours before we were supposed to go on vacation. We had the other unit give us trouble while we were away that I got a notification from our Nest thermostat. They worked with my daughter on a Saturday and came in and fixed the unit during the window that my daughter was able to be here. You couldnt be in better hands with nicer people. Very pleased with the service and communication with Koala Cooling. Our 25 year old system cratered and I researched local companies. Koala Cooling was highly rated and I had seen their trucks in the area. In very short time Anthony checked our system, but found it was worse than he could fix on the spot. He advised us of options and that he would set up an appointment for a representative to meet with us to review replacement options. Before the day was done we were contacted by Martin, who shared options and pricing. He gave us time to research financing apart from the various options Koala Cooling offered. Even though it was noon the next day before we settled on a plan he had a crew (Bo and Blake) at our house that day and our new system was up and running that night. Very pleased with the professional services and exceptionally fast response. We even offered to just wait the next day, but because of the temperatures at 100°, they wanted to make sure we were taken care of as soon as possible. Michael, the AC repair guy, quickly diagnosed the problem in about 30 mins, gave me the exact price, ran to his warehouse for parts, came back in about an hour, and repaired my AC in no time! Our AC was struggling to cool the house down at the hottest parts of the day. We have solar panels and had all the sudden started using a lot more energy than we normally would and our bill kept going up and up and had no clue why. Called Koala once we realized how hard it was struggling to cool the house down. They were able to come see me SAME DAY, and even earlier cause they had a cancellation. The other major guys in town couldn’t even see us till 8 days later! Koala gave a brief description of the van over the phone and emailed me a photo and bio of the repair tech that came to my house making me feel super safe! That way I knew exactly should be at my front door, and with the crazy events in the world recently, this extra detail really set the bar for me as a customer. Mr. Michael Corey was on-time, super professional and got right to work being respectful of my work-from-home day. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue with my copper piping having a leak of coolant on my 2-year old AC unit with a 2020 brand new build home. Had the issue squared away for me in just a few short hours and the costs at the end of it all were very fair and I would even say affordable. I will most definitely call Koala again when I need HVAC help!

Service manager Martin, Renee in the main office, and service technician Robert worked tirelessly on a challenging repair to our HVAC system in record heat. We appreciated how responsive they were (even after hours) and how they genuinely cared about making things better for our family. Their diligence and kindness is something thats becoming more and more rare these days and its even more unusual to find it across an entire team. We highly recommend them.

Amanda and David came out and did a thorough inspection to prepare for the winter. During my annual winter check up they noticed that the contactor was getting a little worn. They said it could last another season or I could replace it.I opted to replace it now rather than chance it going out during another ice storm.Amanda and David took their time and made sure everything was running well. Today is an icy, extremely cold day, the heat pump is frozen, and we needed advice. These folks were super responsive. the person who made and adjusted my appointments was super nice and the person they sent out to do the repair was really great! he was really nice, listened to what I was saying was wrong and let me know exactly what was going on and what he was doing to fix the issue. then he double checked everything before he left. The only complaint I have is that the weekend fee just to do the diagnostic was really expensive $179. I totally understand that workers deserve to be paid extra on the weekend so I paid it without too much complaint. My AC wasnt working in the TX summer after all. Overall I would recommend these folks from my 1 experience. Hopefully I wont have more issues for a while but if I do I will call them.

Koala was very knowledgeable and helpful with my AC problem. Unfortunately I had a mechanical issue that required replacing the condenser, but we decided to replace the entire system and the install was timely and pain free. I was able to work from home and put the baby down for a nap during the install.We got several different quotes and Koala was not only the most competitive for what we were looking for, the people working there were very helpful and knowledgeable. They did not mind spending a few extra minutes to make sure I understood the complexities of the system and why they made the recommendations they made.

After the winter storms where so many lost power I called for them to take a look at my system. During the ice storm my outdoor heat exchanger developed too much ice build up for the fan blades to continue spinning. We had to shut off the unit to avoid further damage. After shutting down the exchanger we had to go to emergency heat for 4 days. Once all the snow and ice had melted we called to have them check for any hidden damage.They were out the next morning to check over the system. Michael Corey was very courteous and professional. We did not need any repairs but it was a relief to know we did not have sustained damage..2024 update :Amanda N. came out to do our spring/summer tune up. She was on time and did a very thorough inspection. Made some suggestions for replacing our UV system next year, otherwise everything looks great.Koala Kooling has been a great decision for us.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Koala Cooling, and I cant recommend them enough. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and stress-free as installing a new HVAC can be. I was familiar with their reputation of quality of service associated with this company because I used their sister company KangaRoof for my recent roof replacement.The team was incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and they took the time to explain all of my options to me so that I could make an informed decision. They were always available to answer any questions I had, and they made sure that I was completely satisfied with the work they were doing. I had some questions about the smart thermostat they were using and they explained the quality and efficiency of the Honeywell thermostat over the Ecobee which I was previously looking at. They even installed at no cost another Honeywell thermostat for my older downstairs unit so that I can the ability to control both units from a smart device. After a couple of days they did a follow up call to make sure everything was working to my expectations and that I was fully satisfied with the smart thermostats which I was on both counts.The installation process itself was quick, efficient, and I was confident I was getting high quality work. They also repaired a disconnected pipe from my older downstairs unit which was left by the another HVAC company that replaced that unit 3 years ago and was a total opposite experience that I had with Koala Cooling. I wish I would have found Koala Cooling then as they put in a higher quality system and top of line customer service in comparison.Overall, I am extremely happy with the service I received from Koala Cooling.
