Many thanks to service techs Brian and Walter. They were methodical, meticulous, and thorough in their approach to figuring out the issue with my heater. They also took the time to clearly explain the issue once it was discovered. Just how thorough were they? After much deduction, they discovered a circuit board wire was over-heating when my heater would start, causing it to shut down. It had nothing to do with the actual A/C unit. So, yes, I was impressed. Kudos.

During the first Artic Blast of 2025, the heat in one unit wasn’t working properly so I called JVR for service. JVR was very busy but scheduled a service technician to come out same day. Over the course of several weeks, JRV performed a regular check up, diagnosed an issue and repaired it under warranty, installed roof vents on my patios roof, and set up a mini split. During this time, I met many different installers and technicians, as well as Mary the dispatcher. Each and every one was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I had one minor issue, and Raul came out quickly. Turns out it wasn’t a problem after all. I could not be happier with the overall experience.

This was a very good experience for us, replacement of a full HVAC unit is a big expense and decision. We made a great choice using J.V.R they were very professional in the upfront estimate and gave many options for us to go with. We first hired Raul V. to do a pre-purchase hvac inspection. He did a great job, was thorough, honest and ethical too, I felt like we were in great hands, wouldnt hesitate to recommend him.That said when we were looking at the prospect of two full hvac system replacements, we still shopped around anyway. We got quotes from no less than 10 different hvac companies before ultimately deciding to hire JRV again. They had one of the lowest prices, and its a small family business that stands by their work, and came back to do warranty work, like making adjustments to the airflow, and increasing the size of one return for no additional charge.When new neighbors moved in across the alley, we didnt hesitate to recommend JRV, and they were as satisfied with JRV as we were. The bad part and the part which will keep me away in the future is, that they only give a 30 day warranty on their work and when the bill came around, of which we paid cash and received a modest senior citizen and military discount 10%, was 705 and I asked them is 700 is okay and was told no. So I found a 20 in my wallet and they came back with the change.Upon my review, I received a call from the owner and he offered me an extended warranty on his labor, wanting to make myexperience better, that I appreciated and its rare. It was Sunday, January 14 and the Arctic freeze was here in Texas. My tenants heat went out at 10 AM. I advised them to contact JRV heating and AC. This is the most honest, reliable, and responsive heating and AC Company I know of after using many over the years. I would not use anybody else but JRV and can highly recommend them. Not only did they respond on a Sunday, but they informed my tenant they were 10th on the list and get to them by around 6 to 10 PM. Raul and his team are always incredibly responsive, reliable and provide excellent service.I live in a condo building and my aging 14 year old AC unit is located in my ceiling (yes, really). When it began to give me problems this summer I called this company based on a recommendation and I’m so glad I did. They came out immediately and Raul took the time to explain all all the different options to me and always took my calls right away when I had questions or needed service. He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. When I decided to replace my old AC and they found me a new unit ASAP, installed it immediately after it arrived and even found me an excellent third party contractor to do the ceiling work on the same day as the AC replacement. We recently had a large heating and air company out to perform maintenance on my units. When he completed the service. He had charged us $183 for a new capacitor and was recommending replacement of both our units to the tune of more than $25K because one fan motor was running a little hot. Our units were less than 9 years old. After researching on the trusty internet, we decided to get a second opinion before we spent such a large sum of money. We found JRV in our neighborhood references and gave them a call. Raul came out to check our systems and found, literally, nothing wrong with the units, the installation, ducting, insulation, etc. Additionally, he found the discarded capacitor in our attic (evidently a safety hazard) and discovered it, also, was borderline for replacement. When I inquired as to what I owed him for his service, he asked that I leave an honest review. We will be using JRV for our future maintenance and repair needs. We will also be referring our friends and family. I prefer to support locally owned and operated businesses with integrity. Thank you, Raul! You have a loyal customer.

Wow!!!!! This is the 2nd time I have called and used Raul on my HVAC units. I can honestly say that Raul is hands down the best person to ever come out and work on our house. He is very responsive, highly educated in his craft and very honest. Raul gave me options. Who does that now a days???? Raul does that. While calling a HVAC repair company is never a fun process for the homeowner because we are out of our element, Raul makes you feel confident in your decisions and leaves you with a smile on your face because you know you got top notch service.

I rarely leave reviews but Raul and his team are EXCEPTIONAL. He recently replaced our entire AC system. Two Trane units. Bottom to top. Only thing that remained was the existing duct work.The work was done quickly and my home was left completely free of any trash, dust, etc.With my own home and two other lease properties, I’ve had experience with numerous vendors. JRV is a rare find with AC companies. Honestly, I always feel like I’m being ripped off and upsold on items I don’t need. From the get go, Raul was honest and straight forward.I now have a new system that will last me years to come. And if bad luck strikes and I have an issue I find comfort in knowing I can depend on these guys again to take care of me.I highly recommend this team to anyone needing heating and cooling services.

I have relied on Raul and his team for years for all my heating and cooling needs. JRV is by far the most honest, reasonable, and talented HVAC company Ive ever worked with. We recently had them add a 3rd HVAC unit to our home for our master suite for more control and comfort. It was a complicated setup requiring a whole new system in the attic with complex routing, returns, supplies, supply lines, etc. Raul is super knowledgeable and creative in this field and I would not hesitate to recommend him over anyone else. Ive worked with J.R.V Heating and Cooling for over 10 years now. They have saved me SO MUCH money. TWICE I was told by two different HVAC companies that I would need a NEW AC/Heating system. Just two days ago 05/13/21 I was told by a different HVAC company that I would have to buy an new unit for $3200 dollars. I called J.R.V to double check for me and sure enough, it was only the air filter. The other company didnt even bother to go inside to look at the filter. J.R.V saved me $3K again!!!
