    I cannot express enough how AMAZING this company is. 1st he was the best price out of all the other companies I reached out to. Hes very honest and explained how to properly maintain my unit.     I can’t say enough good things about Jim Gentry! Our AC stopped working after a brief thunderstorm earlier today and since it was a Sunday we were desperate for a solution before this Texas heat got worse ooofff!! Jim called us right back was able to help us the same day. He assisted my husband in troubleshooting the issue and quickly identified the problem. His extensive knowledge and courteous demeanor made the entire process stress-free. Not only was he a really nice guy, but he also charged a very affordable rate for his services. Best of all, he had our AC up and running within two hours.     Jim Gentry is an amazing guy! We had the fan motor go out on our AC unit. I called Jim after receiving a quote from another company. When I called him, it was at the end of his day, plus he was finishing up a job.     Great service! Jim crew did a nice job replacing my units. The install in the attic was very nicely built. Lines were strapped and secure. Space was utilized. Way better than the original setup. I have had Jim out for service work. His trouble shooting was quick and precise getting me back in service quickly . Recently Jim helped me trouble shoot a problem a contactor ( on weekend) over the phone, which lead me to the fault, an easy repair I could do myself. I would highly recommend Jims service to anyone needing a strait shooter for their AC needs

    I have had several companies come out in the past 2 years. I finally found a truthful and honest company that did more than required to make sure I had cold air over the weekend and came back today to finish the job. All while charging me an honest fee.It is so heart wrenching to think of how many companies lied to me and quoted me outrageous amounts all while saying they are doing it so cheap to help me all while double charging.I will not use anyone else than Jims company from now on.     Jim runs a local business with old school values and years of experience. As the owner, he comes in-person to evaluate your situation and is present when the actual work is being done. His bid was comparable to others but the fact that Jim (as the owner) was going to be on sight from start to finish is why I chose him. Put your AC/Heating issues in his care!!!

    So one of my two AC units was not cooling.So I called Jim never having used him in the past. It was on a Sunday, Jims day off, yet he still made every effort to drive to Galveston to take a look at things.Within a few minute of checking the outside condenser unit, he found the issue. Once that was corrected, he checked the other unit and performed the rest of the maintenance.I really appreciate Jims dedication to showing up on a Sunday, his thoroughness, his great knowledge of AC systems and the tools used to diagnose my issues.If you need someone to work on your system and provide good service as well as pricing (hopefully not on a Sunday) please do yourself a favor and give Jim a call.Very highly recommended and 5 stars arent given very often.     Jim replaced my 2 ac units and heater recently. First off, I would like to express how nice Jim is and explained everything I needed to know about my whole system in very good detail. Jim was honest and kept a great line of communication during the whole process. Once the installation began Jim and his crew worked diligently over the course of 2 days during crazy rainy weather. The entire crew was respectful, polite, and hard working! The new system is awesome and works wonderfully! They replaced some of my ducts and hung them out of the way and put service in correct and now I have so much more room in my attic. I couldnt be more happy about the work they performed!     Called Jim and set up an appointment. Jim sent me a text to say he was on his way and arrived at the scheduled time. Jim made an inspection and diagnosed the problem and offered several options on how to move forward. We discussed the pros and cons of each option and Jim reverted within a day of the pricing of each option. I then selected my preferred option, contacted Jim and we set up a follow up appointment. to make the equipment replacement.On the appointment day Jim sent me a text saying he was on his way and he arrived at the agreed upon time. The time to make the equipment change was very close to the estimate Jim provided to me. I particularly appreciated how safely Jim and his team worked. Jim took the time to walk me through the system, advising me of what maintenance items I should take care of as a homeowner to achieve maximum performance and longevity of the new equipment. He welcomed my questions and answered them with simple explanations.I had a very good experience with Jim and he is now my HVAC guy. I plan on more work for later this year and Jim will be performing that work.Update January 2022: I contacted Jim in November to schedule replacement of the furnace and evaporator (inside HVAC equipment). Previously, Jim replaced the outside condenser unit. Jim did the research to find the correct furnace and evaporator match to the new outside condenser unit. Jim determined the existing duct work was in good shape and did not require replacement, but we did decide to add some new additional return-air ducts. We agreed the date and price (very reasonable) and Jim and his crew arrived as planned and completed the install within a day. This included some access improvements and safety features. Im very pleased with the final installation and all has been working very well since the install. I plan to use Jim to perform semi-annual inspections and any required repair work. My home is located in Bayou Vista, Texas. I recommend Jim for your air conditioning and heating installation and repair services.

    Mr. Jim is the sweetest and most honest technician I have ever dealt with. We have used him numerous times over the last year and a half anytime our very old furnace/ac had issues. Recently, we have had a continuous problem with our AC and he came out and tried to troubleshoot the problem numerous times, and not even asking for a service fee after the initial maintenance. He truly cares about you and your situation and tries to help you the best that he can. He is 100% honest and will tell you if he can fix something or not, and he definitely will not overcharge. While we were on vacation I could not get in touch with him and I had to call someone else who charged me double the price for a part that Mr Jim would have charged us. He is not trying to take advantage of anyone like most people do these days. He is a truly caring and well even call\text you, check in on you, and take time out of his day to talk to you about your ac problem. I am so grateful for all the work that he did and how much he helped us.

    Had No idea what was wrong with my AC, and I called Jim. He asked me a few questions and said it was most likely the condenser but he would be out around 2PM and diagnosed and repair my AC. He arrived 2 1/2 hours earlier and I wasnt home. He called me and said that it was indeed the condenser and was replacing it. I got home about 25 minutes later. The repair was completed. He showed me the bad condenser, and areas that needed work in the future (not immediate) but to make serive call within a few month to keep the system from breaking down. Now came the payment....it was extremely reasonable! Same Day, Expert Service, and Extremely Friendly! Definitely has a customer for life! Thanks Jim!

    My AC unfortunately died during 100+ degree weather with my wife and children at home. I called Jim and that same exact day he had us back up and running! What I really appreciated about him was his willingness to answer my questions during the troubleshooting process and to explain to me how the unit worked. So I had no doubt in my mind that he did all he could do before giving me the news that I needed a new condenser unit. Jim is very professional and most importantly HONEST. He gave me a great deal on the replacement unit with same day service. He even followed up with me the next day to make sure everything was working perfectly.     We called several companies when we needed service on our unit, and Jim was the most professional. He was able to explain a game plan over the phone before seeing the unit. He let us know when he was on his way and was very respectful of our property, even putting shoe covers on to come in to our house.     It is always difficult finding someone you can trust for repairs but Jim Gentry quickly put me at ease. I called just before 5:00pm on a hot August Sunday and left a message expecting to get an appointment at best on Monday. He called me back within 10 minutes and I was surprised he came that evening but he explained he already had jobs booked for the next day. He texted me when he was on his way which gave me time to put my cats in a back room. He is very easy to talk with, explaining each step as he worked to find the problem, and answered all my questions. Excellent service and very fair pricing can’t be beat!!!

    I recently had Jim check my a.c. system. Another service company was here yesterday and indicated that I had a leak in the in-line dryer due to corrosion. I had Jim check for leaks. No leaks found! He did a detailed job of checking out the system and even though it has some age, he felt that the a.c. unit could safely get me through the season.     I cant say enough good things about Jims AC & Heating. We just bought a home in Bayou Vista. We are from Seattle with a different climate and certainly different electrical/building codes. My wife and I did a lot of research to find someone we could trust with removing an ancient gas-furnace and an AC unit to install a new, all-electric heating and cooling system. (This was a big concern since we still live and work in the PNW and may not have been around during the installation.)We found a lot of AC-Heating companies that claim to be Local but in reality, they were large companies from Houston and even Dallas. Luckily, Bayou Vista is a tight community and some of our neighbors recommended Jims AC & Heating.What impressed us more than Jims extensive knowledge of heating-cooling systems and local codes was his work ethics. We wanted the latest/greatest whiz-bang system, to which some companies would be happy to install and charge, but Jim (Who is a local.) recommended that even the latest-greatest systems will deteriorate quicker in a humid-salty climate and he recommended a system which would heat and cool our house as well and the more expensive system but would be less expensive to replace when the time comes. He also educated us about a larger cooling unit is not as efficient as one that is matched to the square footage of the house. In this case, bigger is not better.Jim orchestrated the entire installation, including the scheduling of the electrician and the construction workers. He even brought lumber in case the platform for the AC unit was rotted. (Another bonus of going local.)Off topic, we also had a new roof installed; during the estimate (We were at our home in Seattle.), Jim came by on his own time to tell the roofers we will be removing the gas furnace so the roofers could just cap the hole where the exhaust pipe was, thus giving us a nice-looking roofline.After the entire installation, including the removal of some really bad ducting and construction, Jim showed us the end result... a beautiful job of wiring, duction and corrections of sealing the furnace and capping off the gas line... which took only one day to install. I forgot to mention; the furnace was not located in an easily-accessible place such as a garage, it was located in a closet/attic location in the center of the house.The end result was an awesome and very clean install. And the price? It was very competitive and even lower than a lot of the larger Local companies. If youre in need of a good, honest Heating and AC guy, you really should give Jim a call!

    My husband and I contacted Jim on Friday night after our AC unit froze up for the second time. We didn’t expect an answer right away, but by the end of the night Jim contacted us and he came by our house the next day. He took care of the problem and explained everything he did.     Jim has very reasonable prices. I have used him twice and has a very quick response. My system had suffered heavy corrosion due to the salt water air in Galveston. He was able to repair the faulty parts and got me going. I called him at noon on a Saturday and by 1:30 he was onsite.

    Before he came out to fix my ac unit he attempted to help me trouble shoot and fix it myself. Once that was unsuccessful he was very prompt with his service. He identified the issue right away, replaced the part because he keeps many parts on hand, then checked the performance and then fixed something else. All for about the price you would be charged by some larger companies for an inspection. I will never request another company because the level of knowledge, experience, value and honesty can’t be matched by any huge company.

    Came out Sunday afternoon after working all day in this June heat and humidity on another job. I called 4 other places who say they work Sundays but none of them called me back. My A/C was in bad shape but Jim wasnt about to let my 8-month pregnant wife have to deal with no A/C. 4 hours later and shes enjoying the cold! Jim was very pleasant and explained everything he was doing. He even used shoe covers in my house! I am definitely calling Jim again next time!
