We have had them to our house multiple times for items covered by American Home Shield and for a fix to our system not covered by American home shield. Each time they did a great job! No complaints. Very responsive and honest.

5 stars! This company cares! They fixed my AC motor within 2 days. The reason for not immediate fix was that they had to order a part that Carrier did not have in stock. They expedited it and fixed my AC much earlier than anticipated. If you are a holder of a Home Warranty, request this company. I had really bad experiences with the AC companies and the inexperienced technicians they would send and it would take a couple of months of no AC before they could diagnose the problem. Raymond texted me immediately and came within 1 hour of me requesting the service and detected the issue with my AC right away. The part came earlier to Carrier and while Jamie was there, he got my part and called me right away and was here within 30 mins! These guys are a very caring local small business! They are professional and knowledgeable. I am blown away by their professionalism and kindness!

The Home Warranty company sent someone out from here to fix the heat. Everything between the phone call, to technician visit, and fix took only a few hours. The technician was very determined to fix the issue, and had to swap out a few parts. I was so impressed with the professionalism from this company that I had to leave a review.

Intrastate came in and fixed in a week what another company couldnt fix in months. Their communication with affected parties was swift & responsive. If you have a home warranty, request Intrastate if your HVAC goes out.

Almost a perfect experience. Jamie and Raymond, were timely, polite, had excellent communication, diagnosed our clogged drain pan issue immediately, resolved the issue without a follow-up appointment, and kept our floors clean. Awesome! To the dispatcher and the actual techs: 9/10, would do business with again.The only pain point: Raymond blasted our clogged drain pipe with CO2. The goop exiting our home at high-speed went all over our neighbors brand-new *white* truck. Some of it came off, but we still have to pay him for cleaning service of the oily residue that didnt rinse away. Inconvenient, but well manage. In the future, please be mindful of drain pipe locations (and where things may fly out)! :)Michael, thank you for getting your dispatcher, Jamie, to call us within 6 minutes after we spoke at 9:53am. I know its a busy time of year, yalls job is hard in this heat, and we really, really appreciate the work that was done for us.That said, you didnt tell me your company name when you answered, and your tone sounded like I was bothering you. I was afraid I had the wrong number. Please be a little less gruff on the phone when customers call.Im not mad, I just hope anyone else calling in to get work done wont be put-off by your tone. Your business deserves good customer service, because obviously your guys know their stuff.Im a small business owner, and I know running a business is really difficult. I know American Home Shield can be a little tricky to work with at times. Your business made it through COVID, however, which says a lot about the quality of work your guys do. I was very impressed with the way Intrastate Energy Controls handled my AHS claim. They came out the next day diagnosed the problem and explained the process. Yes, it did take a few days to allow the testing of equipment in order to have the needed information to process the claim, but as soon as the test was over I was notified and AHS called to authorize repairs. The techs came to the house and got right to work and we had AC in about an hour. Thank you Jamie for keeping an eye on my claim start to finish.

I did a service request through my warranty with American Home Shield for diagnosing a frozen heat pump. They were able to come out the next day and promptly did maintenance on the heat pump (cleaning condenser coils, measuring coolant, and replacing a capacitor). The unit has been working great since then. Good and fast service!

Our AC went out last night. We called AHS and they sent out Intrastate Energy Controls. Jamie arrived at 11. Was very nice. Went to work replacing and securing the new capacitor. Very professional and showed me pictures of everything he had done. I am very pleased. Thank you 😊

We had a system failure at our new-to-us home on Wednesday 10/16/19 and the team at IEC had everything expedited and completed on 10/18/19. Company was able to get parts moved ahead of a forecasted warmer weekend and make it out early in the day to finalize everything. Technicians were very thorough in answering my questions and AHS did a great job, selecting this company to represent their insured clients was a smart move on their part. Thanks again, will recommend and use this teams services for future needs at our properties.

Raymond was the technician that came out to service my HVAC and he was EXTREMELY professional, helpful, courteous AND answered ALL of my questions AND even gave me answers to questions I didnt even know to ask. My experience was great and if I should need any help in the future with any of the available services this company offers, I will definitely choose Intrastate Energy controls!! Reading the reviews, I feel this company is getting a lot of negative reviews due to home warranty coverage issues. I had AHS and was referred to Intrastate Energy for a work order on one of my A/C units. The were quick to respond to my work order and they sent a technician out to my home the same day. They informed me what AHS would cover and what my out-of-pocket expenses would be. They broke down the issues with the A/C and what parts were needed. When it was all said and done, my out of pocket expenses were a lot cheaper than there original quote. I even had secondary quotes and opinions from other HVAC companies that were much higher. If they were trying to rip me off, they could have stayed at the original estimated cost. I recently used them again (not using AHS) and they were quick to respond and diagnose the issue with a reasonable cost. Thanks Intrastate Energy!

I dont have enough kind words to say about my experience with Intrastate. They texted me immediately after I submitted my work order with American Home Shield and said they could be out the next morning. They were precise within the minute and fixed the problem in under 30 minutes. Our ac was up and running, which is crucial in the middle of summer! I wouldnt hesitate to contact Intrastate if the need arose.

Jaime and his crew fully replaced my HVAC and furnace. They got the job done quickly, professionally and went above and beyond what I would have expected from the job. This was all at a fair price. My family and I are very pleased with our new system--a few months out and its working flawlessly, so much better than the old one. Jaime was incredibly knowledgeable about the benefits or downfalls of the particular different systems we could have chosen from. Would highly recommend this company if you have any AC or heating issues in the San Antonio area!

Absolutely perfect! Claim made through AHS and the tech was out within 24 hours...would have been sooner but I missed the first call. Didnt have the correct part on the truck and was told that it could take a few days ( i understand). NOPE, they were back the next morning and had the repair complete before lunch. Prompt, courteous and the system is purring like a kitten now. There is honestly nothing I could complain about how my service went.

Excellent service and very professional! Jaime diagnosed the problem immediately and got the part ordered right away! Came back as soon as he had the part and within 10 minutes we had our heater fixed. Great personality and friendly! Would absolutely recommend him and Intrastate Energy Controls. A++++++

I have AHS and when you place a service request you can’t choose the business that receives your request. I’m not a fan of this as I’d like control over who works on my home appliances and systems. I placed the request and after being notified of the company I immediately try to look them up on Angie’s List. Nope, they are not listed. So I Google them. Just great, 2.0 out of 5. Read most of the reviews and it didn’t look good. I have been working on trying to give people the benefit of the doubt so when they showed up I acted like I never read those reviews. The two techs were courteous and conducted themselves professionally. Hmmm, good start. So they asked what was going on with my AC system. I let them know a leak had been identified a couple of years ago and I have to get the system topped off every year with about 2-3 pounds of refrigerant. So they checked out the system and believed the best course of action in this case was to try a sealant and then top it off. They explained AHS only covers $10 a pound (really AHS?) and I’d have to foot the bill for the remaking $45 a pound. They put in 2 and stated they would come back in a month to check if it was still cooling. Guys were great at explain everything and made me feel comfortable with having them work on the system. Bottom line, give people a chance. Good job guys, keep up the good work.

Competence, Cost effective and Communication are attributes I appreciate when doing business with a service company. This company came out on Memorial Day within an hour or so of the time I called. They fixed my 10 year old unit without any issues at all. The tech was friendly and did exactly what he said he would do at the rate quoted. I’m pleased.

Man these guys are the bees knees. Especially Jamie!! I have had them replace evaporator coil and they are always professional but mostly prompt.. Even came out at night to replace the dual cap when ac stopped working at 10:30 in the evening! Highly recommended!
