I decided to install my own NEST thermostats in my home. The first one went fine and installed great. Unfortunately the upstairs one didnt go to plan. After sweating it out for about 2 hours, I decided to call Discount Cooling Services to have them take a look at it. Mike was great. He answered his own phone and made it a point to come by my house within 2 hours to get it taken care of. He called when he was on his way and it only took him about 10 minutes to find the problem. My upstairs was cooling down within 15 minutes of his arrival. I will definitely use his service for my two Air Conditioning units each year for maintenance. The price was much better than others for the same service. I highly recommend Mike and his company for any Heating or Cooling issue you may have. THANKS MIKE

Awesome service! Mark and Mike went out of their way to help us. They worked us into their schedule that very day. They were quick, efficient, and professional. Not only did they perform the work, but they did a few extra things like washing off our other older unit and putting in a new thermostat without charging us. It was all a part of their service. You can tell they really like what they do and they take pride in their work. Very friendly and trustworthy. I highly recommend them!

It is not very often that I feel completely satisfied and obliged to people who perform repair services and installations. After working with Mike and his helper from Discount Heating and A/C , I must say that the work they performed not only was exceptional and a welcomed change for me, but Mike truly did all he could to make absolutely sure that I was satisfied. He installed a completely new A/C system and modified one duct in the attic to insure that not only A/C was working properly, but that the air flow was viable and all the registers had a proper flow of air.I would recommend Mike to anyone who wants an honest and reasonable A/C engineer who is capable of modifying the existing hardware and repair it properly as he did in one other house I own in Austin.

From the making of the appointment to the end of the project, the staff and personnel at Discount cooling were professional and courteous. Mike explained all options in laymans terms, which consisted of a complete AC system replacement and all air duct work. He took his time to make sure that everything was done well. He listened to our concerns and made sure everything was complete. If you want a professional, honest, and courteous AC company, I highly recommend discount cooling services!

By far one of the best companies I have ever had to work with. I had a problem with my air conditioning. I called a couple HVAC companies and Mike was the first to respond. He replied almost instantly with the earliest available time that he could be at my house to fix my A/C. With no air conditioning working in my house, Mike even offered to troubleshoot with me over the phone. He walked me through everything and fixed my problem in under 20 minutes. If I ever have to use a mechanical contractor again in the future, no doubt I will be going with Mike at Discount Cooling Services.

Its not often that when something is broken I end up being 100% satisfied with the service provided to me and enjoy the process of getting it repaired. Mike is a great technician and an even better handyman. Not only did he come fix my AC, but he ended up taking a look around the house and made sure everything was in order, mostly because my worrisome wife asked him to do so (which by the way, was at virtually no extra cost). However, what surprised me was that he did it with a smile on his face and was so unbelievably polite that I would recommend him to everyone. I never once felt he was taking advantage of me, nor did I feel like just another client of his. Hes very kind and truly loves his job which is why I would definitely do business with him again.

I’ve worked with these guys for years and this review is well overdue. My first experience with them I had collected bids from four other businesses and they were the only ones who would fix it rather than sell me a new piece of equipment. Any time we’ve needed them to come out, they have in a timely fashion and done the repair with the best price imaginable. They don’t sell you what you don’t need. They do good honest work and are just nice! Great to work with, can’t say enough good things. Call them!

My ceiling has been leaking due to blocked drain pipe so contacted my insurance company (American home shield) and I was told it won’t be scheduled until next few days. I contacted Mike and he was prompt to respond and came up on short notice (within an hour) and fixed the problem immediately. I also had an issue with 2nd Nest thermostat that tripped air handlers and they fixed it in no time. He even discovered mold in the air handlers and got it knocked off in his 2nd visit by installing UV light at a very reasonable price. Mike and Amar are awesome and very knowledgeable. They are certainly the best air conditioning company we have dealt with in Austin since the time we move here. Highly recommend these guys for any HVAC repairs, highly professional, honest and very friendly.

I hired Discount Cooling Services to install an AC unit for my business. Moe was very professional and knowledgeable in HVAC. He sat down with me and helped me thoroughly understand all my options. Based on the budget I had and what we wanted to accomplish we decided to install a minisplit AC unit. It worked perfectly. We run the unit for 13 hours a day. A few weeks later, I had a minor issue with the water pump. I contacted Moe and shortly after he came to my shop and determined that a bigger pump would help. He switched it out with no additional charges or service fees. We havent had any issues since. I recommend Moe for all your HVAC needs. Thank you Moe!

I was having trouble installing my Nest. Got a quote from 4 other providers. Mike was the quickest to respond, they were able to pinpoint the issue over the phone and provide me with an accurate and reasonable quote (compared to the ridiculous prices others charge without bothering to do an initial triage over the phone). They came in within hours and wrapped up just as they said. They seem the be experts in the Nest thermostat and HVAC systems in general and are very prompt to respond and show up. Highly recommend Mike and team.

Thank you Mike you saved us thousands of dollars. We had 3 quotes from well known companies they all stated the same thing our AC is no longer working. The quotes rank for a new AC from 6,600. To 13,000 very overwhelming for us. The next morning I called Discount Cooling Services and within 45 minutes Mike the tech came over diagnosed the AC quickly, he fixed and cleaned the unit outside. After the A/C went out at my house I made some calls around town and was being quoted ridiculous prices for a full system replacement. A buddy of mine suggested Discount so I gave them a call and Mike was able to come out that day and inspect my unit, Not only was he very knowledgeable and friendly but he gave me some fantastic news that my whole system wasnt shot it only needed a part replaced. I cant say enough great things about these guys and their level of customer service! Our AC went out last night and today just happened to be a record breaking high of 108 in Austin. I called several places trying to get quotes and find someone who could come service our AC unit today. Not only was Mike the only one to answer my call, but he also told me that he could fit me in his schedule and be there in just 2 hours!Mike and Lamar were right on time, extremely knowledgeable, nice, and efficient. The two men fixed our AC and were in and out in 20min! I will absolutely call this company in the future as well as recommend them to our friends and family!
