Cold Front was great. There communication was great, with an e-mail confirmation of my appointment and a notification that they were on their way. It even included a name and photo of the person coming out.There service was excellent. I had them out to install a smart thermostat on my old AC system. One of the boards on my AC was bad, but rather than hit me with an expensive replacement, they figured out how to make the new thermostat work with it anyway.Jackson and Robert were excellent. Polite, efficient, and good problem solvers. Well definitely be using Cold Front for our AC needs in the future.

AC unit stopped working. 3 different companies said they couldn’t fix it and the entire system, wires and ducts needed to be replaced. Would be $15,000-$20,000. Ugh.Called Cold Front as a last ditch effort and SO GLAD I DID. Came out next day, the tech said he could fix it and have it running today. Turns out the issue was a burned up coil and wire that needed to be replaced.1 hour and $139 later, AC is back up and running. Cold Front will be the only company I call for ANY AND ALL AC needs going forward!Thank you so much Cold Front!

They definitely know what they are doing, explained everything very clearly and gave me confidence that they were thorough in their inspections so that we won’t have any problems in the future. The scheduling was also very easy and the communication was excellent throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend Coldfront and Chris/Jackson specifically!

I had a new Furnace and HVAC equipment installed by Tim Altand his team. Ive been in my home for nineteen years and did not want to risk the system going out, especially since the furnace was becoming a challenge in getting it started. Brandon discussed a couple of options with me followed by a written proposal and thereafter, I made the decision to move forward with the install before the price of equipment increases in 2025.The workers were on time and worked non-stop. They did a great job of preparing the area before they started and were also very respectful of my property.The installation was flawless and I am very pleased that I made the decision to get this done. Now, I can relax and not have to worry about the furnace going out.I have been a customer of Cold Front A/C of The Woodlands for 5+ years and they do not disappoint, no matter what size job you have.

This is how a business should be. I was recommended to them by a neighbor. They did an outstanding job handling the process of replacing our HVAC system. They were friendly, appropriately priced, responsive, and very professional. A few months had gone by and I started noticing an intermittent gas smell that I narrowed down to be coming from the attic and figured I would give them a call. Even though it had been a few months since the install they set up a service ticket immediately and came out to check on the system. The technician was able to identify the source of the issue, showed it to me, and fixed the issue. This confirmed further to me that they stand behind their business and customer service. Amazing work ethic and absolutely wonderful service. Amy was wonderful and so professional and kind on the phone. She understood the urgency of our situation and scheduled us immediately. We received email and text confirmation of the appointment and then email and text confirmation when they where on their way. The last visit originated in a problem with a malfunctioning thermostat provided by the security system company. Tim Alt lent me a temporary thermostat until the replacement arrived, thus avoiding some days of cold weather without heat. He was very flexible coming home a couple of times to solve the problem. I have used Cold Front two or three times, and every time they come, I am more satisfied than the time before! They outdo themselves in their excellent customer service, timeliness, and workmanship.Recently, the drain for our AC unit was clogged, and the secondary line led to nowhere. We had water dripping through two floors of our house and could not fix it ourselves no matter how many different ways we tried! When Cold Front came, they quickly unclogged the primary line and went above in beyond in finding a way to drain the secondary line in case the need ever arise again! They were incredibly kind, respectful, and they moved rapidly and with intentionality.I will never look anywhere else for my AC services in the future- I am perfectly satisfied with Cold Front and would recommend them to all of my friends and family for their great work and awesome customer service.

Had a 3 year old air conditioner suddenly start struggling to keep the house cool - in weather that wasnt even breaking 90 degrees outside. A neighbor recommend Cold Front A/C and I have to say, they are the ultimate professionals.The responded to my service request I sent through their portal within an hour - and were out the next day to take a look at my system. The owner himself came out, thoroughly inspected the system, and determined both my evaporator and condenser were leaking. Cold Front took care of contacting the AC manufacturer about a warranty claim, got the parts ordered, and were out within a few days once they had arrived to take care of the repairs.Its rare to find a company these days that still has a personable touch - I would highly recommend them. Im still very impressed that when they found out my American flag had ripped the day before they came out from high winds, they brought me a replacement flag. That alone spoke volumes to me.Ill definitely be calling them again for maintenance and repairs (if needed!)

Tim visited to evaluate a leak in our AC system. Of various companies, he was the only one that detected the actual leak and proposed options which included only replacing the part that was broken versus the whole unit which everyone else quoted. They were incredibly responsive and communicative and replaced the part as expected as soon as sourced saving me significant unnecessary expenditure. Tim and his small team were all excellent. Now my A/C firm of choice. Note - I found them on Yelp and they responded within an hour but there werent reviews so I nearly didnt contact them but I happened to check Facebook and Google and found loads of 5* reviews.

Tim was honest with us and didnt try to upsell us on something we didnt need. Our heater wasnt working during the freezing temperatures we had. I called a large Houston based HVAC company and they came and said they werent willing to repair it, only replace it. After a $19k estimate, I told them I needed a second opinion. I called Cold Front and Tim came to look at the furnace same day. After spending 30 minutes looking at it, he had it up and running (with no actual repairs). Will definitely call him back when we actually have something that needs to be repaired or replaced.

Cannot recommend Cold Front enough! Tim and Brandon were both great guys to have in the house when our (hilariously filthy and not maintained) 24 year coil gave up and sprung leaks during the hottest week of 2019. Brandi had 3 portable units delivered at 10PM on a Saturday night and setup throughout the house to make sure we could stay home comfortably instead of heading to a motel knowing we were about to spend some money on a big repair. That money turned out to be not as big as we thought either because Tims pricing was fair and honest as opposed to a lot of shops that are known to really make it hurt your wallet a little more in the summer. We loved the care they took to make sure we knew what was broken and why, what we needed and didnt need to get the best bang for our buck that will last another 20+ years. To give anyone interested an idea of the energy savings a 16 SEER rated unit is going to save us compared to the 9 SEER antique that came out of our 2 story home, the week before our unit broke we rang up 1120kWh of electrical usage. This past week? 569kWh while keeping the house cooler for longer. Literally cuts our energy bill in half during the hottest months of the year and getting those weekly usage emails makes us giggle. The idea that the savings alone will pay for this are certainly true in our case. Well make sure to have Tim out to maintain our investment in the future and wont hear of anyone we know going somewhere else when the best your money can buy is with Cold Front.

AC had been out since Monday evening, 4/20 due to a blower fan going out. Cold Front A/C was the 4th call we made after getting various answers ranging from replace the fan, zone board is out, replace the system, etc... When I called Wednesday evening I spoke to Brandy who asked all the right questions to determine the nature of the issue. As soon as Brandy heard we had a young child in the household, she asked if she could check with Mr. Tim on something and call me back. Well, she did, and said Mr. Tim was on his way and would bring portable A/C units so we can have some cool air. This is white glove service from a small company, and even though the blower fan was tough to find locally, we were immediately impressed with Mr. Tims attention to detail and customer service. Our A/C was back up and running by Thursday afternoon, and we were comfortable for those last 24 hours thanks to Cold Front A/C. Mr. Tim is our new and long-term solution to managing our A/C system. Many thanks to Brandy, Tim, Jackson (Tims son who setup the portable units) and Tims family for the time he spent with us instead of with them after-hours. We appreciate it!

UPDATE: Its been a year since Tim & his crew at Cold Front renovated our HVAC, and what a year! My new favorite day of the week is when Reliant sends me a weekly review\preview of my AC bill. I attached a screenshot of this weeks Reliant email below (which I dont see posted - this months bill? $56.00).Can *you* say *that* about *your* AC\Heating Company and *your* Energy Company? Nope, this isnt due to the good graces of Reliant. Its thanks to Cold Front A/C of the Woodlands.Over a year Ive watched my bill evaporate (just like the dust thanks to my House Air Purifier!). I attached a screen shot of this weeks email. I LOVE seeing that my house is a fraction of the Energy Efficient houses in my neighborhood. Ive even cranked my AC waaaay down at night thanks to the joys of..um...aging. :) Same low, low bill.I also want to give a shout out to the House Air Purifier! My son and I both have issues with getting sick easily and Asthma, and we have a huge dog that loves to shed everywhere. Oh the difference the House Air Purifier has made. Wowza!Weve seen a DRAMATIC reduction in dust, dog hair, etc. and boy we sure do breathe better at home! I SO SO GLAD Tim suggested the Home Air Purifier as he knows my kiddo and how long he easily he gets sick through the years (Hint: GET AN AC GUY THAT GETS TO ACTUALLY *KNOW* YOU AND WILL ***DO THE RIGHT THING***)!Ive never met a more honest group of folks than the guys at Cold Air A/C of the Woodlands.
