I had a wonderful experience with Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating. I had called a bigger commercial company for an issue with my heater the day before. I wont put them on blast by name-dropping but they tried to tell me my whole system was broken and I should replace the whole thing for 13k. I called Alamo for a second opinion and my Tech Austin was super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable, but most importantly honest. My unit was fine and I just needed a fan replacement. Austin replaced it so fast and my heater worked again in under an hour. Cant recommend this company enough and they will be my go-to moving forward. Nice to see there are still honest places like this out there.

Spectacular service, I booked Alamo because I saw their insane amount of 5 star reviews and was not disappointed. I’m glad to be adding to them.My heating unit went out late day on Wednesday and they were able to fit me into the schedule less than 24hrs later. Technician was polite and took great care to not dirty the house while working. The fix was fast, professional, and pricing was very fair, I honestly expected to spend more to solve my issue.So glad I called Alamo Air, thank you!!

Absolutely the best service call experience ever! I called on Saturday and was on the schedule for Monday. From Tracy and Lisa scheduling and coordinating to Noah who came out to service my furnace, Alamo provided excellent customer service and great communication. Fair price for superior service. They kept us informed throughout the process (an oem part needed to be ordered) and worked hard to get it fixed as quickly as possible. I posted this review on Yelp and Facebook, and I also wanted to make sure I put it here on Google Reviews as well. I have been using Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating since 2019 and Adrian would always come to my house to work on my ancient HVAC system. It was 27 years old and this Spring, when he came by he delivered the bad news that the unit had so much wrong with it that it would run about $2k just to replace all of the parts on the old system. So my wife and I began the process of trying to find quotes for a new HVAC system. I am a firm believer in making sure to do your homework.One of the things that has always stood out for me in choosing to use Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating is the fact that Adrian never tried to force me to buy a new system. In the past, when other AC repairmen would come over, within five minutes they would push me to invest into a new system. Adrian on the other hand told me just keep this old unit running as long as you can, before putting money into a new one. So that right there shows that he is not trying to upsell me. Like anyone else, Ive done a lot of research on HVAC systems, parts and Im fortunate to have people in my circle to consult with.So after about two weeks of investigating and research I decided to pull the trigger, and go with Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating to buy a new HVAC system. Not only did Matt (the installer,) explain to me the entire process (as did Lisa,) but he showed me where they were going to work on the unit so that it would also be much safer than the old unit was. It was a major job and took them all day to work on.One of the aspects that really impressed me was the fact that they also did a bunch of tests on the system both inside and out. So it was no a rush job at all. I loved the fact that they also went into the attic to make sure that no air was leaking and that the insulation would keep up nice and comfortable. What is so incredible about this company is that they are more like family than just a business.They get to know you, they actually listen to your circumstances (in my case we had some medical issues to contend with,) and they work with you. Additionally, my step father who is a retired contractor remarked that they provided me with one of the most detailed and thorough quotes for a new HVAC system that he has ever seen. When he came by to inspect the work, he gave it an A plus! So that is remarkable to hear that a company just goes all out to help you and make sure the job is done right.Therefore, my family and I will be customers for life. We now tell everyone in our neighborhood and throughout Austin, that Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating is the company you can trust and depend on to be there for all your indoor air comfort needs. All I can say, is thanks and do yourself a favor, use these guys, they will do you right!

Really excellent experience. Had to replace ancient worn out HVAC system. I found Alamo pretty technical in their approach: they engineered (i.e. planned) the installation thoroughly beforehand and were able to satisfy my questions. They offered options reasonably priced, with a three year warranty plus a couple of post-install follow-ups. The job, once started, was completed swiftly. The system works nicely plus is a big improvement over the old one (which itself, was relatively okay, but the new one is notably better, quieter and more successful in implementing the set temperature across the surface of the house). I am definitely pleased with the result.

Austin, from Alamo Austin, came out to look at my unit when my heater stopped working. After a quick inspection, he found a minor issue and fixed it immediately. He then completed his inspection and walked me through what the problem was. He was very informative and let me know that my unit is close to end of life (its from 1999) but is working fine, so no need to change it out now.I appreciate how fast and thorough Austin was, and I really appreciate his honesty and transparency. I cant recommend Alamo Austin enough!

By far THE best A/C company in Austin. I had one of those top A/C companies in Austin come out and said my system, which is kind of old, needed to be replaced. I called Alamo. Noah fixed it (capacitor replacement) for about $420 bucks. These guys are great at fixing systems not trying to push you to replace. HIGHLY recommend

Very highly recommended and the high rating is well earned. Noah was really helpful, patient to let me know all of whats going on and took care of what was needed. theres some upsell with certain things ($1000 mark up that was for a warranty and 30 min install of a mold prevention device that we did need), but that is going to happen anywhere. do your research, look at their options which are all very well laid out for you to pick from after a visit and decide what makes sense. also timing very prompt for the visits. will definitely be using them for HVAC needs going forward

I honestly cannot say enough good things about Alamo Air (but Ill try!). For the last year theyve helped us limp along with our old wonky system. There was never any pressure to buy, in fact on a recent visit, Adrian let us know our system was on its last leg but did his best to repair an unusual situation that required thinking outside the box until we could afford to replace everything. The fix held until we were ready to move forward.Knowing a full system replacement was necessary, we scheduled time with Eric to walk our house and make recommendations that would best suit our situation. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable, he was also a super nice guy and great about answering random follow up questions as we decided the best way to go. Once we decided to move forward, Lisa was able to schedule us for installation within a week.The morning of installation, Dylan, Chris and team arrived at 8am and got to work! Having an entire team of people in and out of your house all day can be stressful, but these guys were so considerate of our space and honestly a joy to be around. They all gave lots of love to our attention starved dog Luna, we had funny conversations while they worked and they never hesitated to answer questions throughout the day.Every upgrade and improvement in our wonky house has been a challenge and the a/c install was no different. Dylan and Chris continued working well into the evening to finish the job and by the time Dylan did the final walk through with us it was after 8pm. Even after a 12 hour day he was still friendly, funny and took all the time needed to answer our final questions.Jason has put together an amazing team. Every single person weve worked with has been knowledgeable, honest, candid and just good people. And in a town where we have extreme heat AND extreme cold, I feel so much better knowing Alamo will take care of us (quickly and affordably) if anything goes wrong. Thanks guys and Lisa!!

I have used Alamo Austin A/C for any issues I cannot use my home warranty for. This time I had no heat and after a poor experience and no resolution via HWA contractor, I called Alamo. Noah was assigned to my house and after two visits was able to resolve my problem. Noah was diligent and tenacious with my old system. He kept me informed every step of the way. I cannot recommend Alamo Austin Air Conditioning & Heating enough!

Really awesome experience with Alamo. AC stopped working overnight (amidst 103 temps). Alamo was able to get a technician out within a few hours upon inquiry. Adrian, our technician, was great. Really quick turnaround on the repair, helped us save some money by checking on the warranty, and provided a lot of great information to help us maintain our system better in the future. Highly recommend their services!

Our experience with Alamo was A+. We replaced our 15-20(?) year old unit once our a/c had completely gone out, and hot weather was quickly approaching. Erik came by to give us our free quote, was very detailed, and took his time to make sure every concern was addressed throughout the home. Our lead tech day-of, Dylan, was thorough, professional, helpful, and very informative about our new unit. Angel did a fabulous job with the build inside (even fixing the broken door and adding weather stripping!) and Giovanni made the outdoor unit look great as well. Chris came by midday to make sure everything was going well, which was appreciated. Couldn’t recommend this crew more!

I replaced my old unit in early December 2022. Although I wasnt in a rush, the whole process only took 5 days from the day I got the estimate on a Friday to an install on Tuesday morning. From beginning to end Alamo Austin Air was courteous, professional, very prompt and informative. Jason was fabulous and NOT a high pressure salesman. They take out all the guesswork for the home owner and offer great options to choose from. Matt was there for the quick installation and he kept me informed all the way, as well as going over how to work everything and making sure I was comfortable. Once they install, they do all the paperwork for the warranty and the rebates. Thanks for making it so quick and easy! Prices were very competitive as well. Great name brand equipment (Carrier). You are in good hands with Alamo Austin Air for replacing your AC/Heat Pump unit. Hint: If you can replace your equipment in the winter, you will get the best discounts, so dont wait! :)

Alamo came to the rescue when my 86-year-old mothers A/C crapped out in triple-digit heat. They sent someone out same day to assess the system and got back to us the next day with a detailed quote (system was ancient and had to be replaced). A few days later, they performed a seven-hour installation (with no A/C) and got Mom squared away. Throughout the entire experience, Alamo was communicative and responsive. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, accommodating, informative, and polite. I dont think I could have picked a better company to help Mom out of a tight (and hot) spot.

My old Carrier system just died and though I had used Alamo Austin Air before I believe you have to do your research and get a few quotes as the cost of a A/C unit can be considerable. Other companies would come in, maybe take a look at the unit outside and give me their quote. Erik took the time to ask what issues I had, two of the bedrooms would get warmer in the afternoon. After going to the bedrooms and the attic Erik suggested adding an intake for each room for better air circulation. I was pleased with the explanation and the quoted cost.Installation day came and Moises and his team got here on time and got to work right away. They were very professional and approachable. They took the time to answer my questions and the installation was excellent.I am very happy with the work done and would recommend them for when you need to replace your system.

Matt, Rocco, Angel and Eric did a fabulous job replacing my 22-year-old HVAC system. They worked so hard that I was worn out witnessing their efforts. They communicated by phone from inside and outside the house and directly and were always, ALWAYS respectful and friendly which made the experience so much better for me. They really were a team who seemed to like each other. In just one day, they accomplished a phenomenal amount of work, installing the outdoor compressor, indoor unit, all new duct work, new grills and a new smart thermostat. When the installation was complete, Matt showed me how to maintain the indoor unit and Rocco did the same for the outdoor compressor. Together, they taught me how to use the smart thermostat and install the app on my phone so I can adjust the temperature whether Im out and about or in bed. Best of all, thanks to Eric Bell who designed the system, they installed two additional return vents and two new supply vents to improve heating and cooling throughout the house and the efficiency of operation of the A/C unit. The new vents are so well-positioned and installed, youd think theyd always been there. Before leaving, they cleaned thoroughly. Finally, while I got estimates from other companies, Alamos proposal provided 8 pages of layman-speak detail which helped me understand the improvements. Im so pleased and would choose Alamo again in a heartbeat.

Great experience with Alamo Austin Air on a new heat pump and air handler install. I thought I could get by this winter on our emergency air strips after our heat pump went out. Since we just moved into the home we were not anxious to spend the money needed to fix our actual problem. After a few cold day we decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and replace the whole system as it was aging and seeing multiple issues. Could not be happier with our decision and the quality work done by the guys at Alamo. Installation was painless, clean, well done, and not a scratch or ding on our newly painted walls or floors (another reason we were hesitant to replace). Thanks again, we will be returning to Alamo Austin Air for any and all future maintenance and repair.

Alamos owner was very knowledgable and noticed way more little details than other companies. Most companies sent over someone to give a quote but didnt do any measurements that they would send to the install team, so then the install team would show up and maybe things wouldnt fit or something the first person agreed to might not have been communicated. This was not the case with Alamo. Everything was on the invoice so it would be communicated very clearly to me and the install team, including the little things for free, like raising the platform to make it easier to get the filter out, etc. Communication was quick, the install team came on time, did a great job cleaning up, were good communicators.I got quotes from 10 different companies for Carrier and American Standard systems to replace my HVAC and this quote was the lowest even after negotiating with other companies. Would definitely recommend and work with them again.2024 Update: I just used Alamo a second time to install a new AC at my new home. Was very happy with everything, the installers were friendly and did a great job, would use again!

Five plus stars! We had a great experience having a mini-split installed by Alamo Austin Air. Jason came by to do a walk through and give us an estimate within 2 days of my initial phone call. Then he and his team came just a few days later for the install. They were extremely prompt and worked well together. They did a great job of clean up and explaining how the unit works. We recommend them highly for all the services they offer.UPDATE:::September 2024We just had another FIVE STAR experience with Alamo Austin Air. Our 23 year old HVAC system needed to be replaced. Of course we called the same company who did such a great job installing our upstairs minisplit (and helping us maintain it) a few years ago.I called Monday morning and they had Noah come out that afternoon to discuss options. We also received emails from the owner, Jason, who was working after hours totrack down the best system for us. Install was scheduled for Thursday and Chris and Angel and Adrian did the full install in one day. We love working with a family- owned and operated local business. From the initial phone call with Danielle all the way through install and service, we have been completely satisfied each time. I already knew that I was going to have a positive experience with Alamo Austin Air. My parents had used them the year before and were incredibly pleased with the overall experience and continued support they received from the company. Matt, Nathan, Erick, and Angel did a fantastic job on the demo and install of my new system. Upon arrival they told me the scope of the job and what to expect. I had requested them to keep one of the doors closed to keep our pets in. This was difficult to do based on the door being right were the attic door dropped down, but they managed it well when the door had to be opened. They walked me through the final install and walked me through some basic maintenance steps that I would need to complete. I was extremely impressed and would recommend Alamo Austin Air to anyone looking for HVAC services.

Alamo Austin Air provided such a great service for an Air Handler replacement.Danielle was very friendly and helpful with the estimate and the scheduling. After the schedule and after carefully reviewing the specs of the equipment, Jason reached out to explain the options and to make sure the upgraded equipment would fit in the existing space.On the installation day, Chris brought out 2 pieces of equipment of different sizes in case one wouldnt fit, there was the other. He also got the alternate thinner base filter to install with the air handler. Erick and Angel did an amazing job installing the equipment; they took time to organize and make sure everything looked nice, clean, and tidy.Highly recommend the Alamo Austin Air.

Alamo Austin Air replaced my HVAC system about 2 yrs ago. Since then, I’ve had the same tech, Adrian, come out for system check ups and when the system had a clog. He is very thorough when doing his checks and was able to replace a part that was still under warranty. He is friendly, professional and able to answer questions and good at giving me a head’s up of any upcoming issues. I work from home and I appreciate that he is able to quietly and quickly do his work without me having to be present. I also appreciate that the company sends out the same person, which suggests that they are a good company since they are able to retain their employees.

Sonny is THE MAN!!! I have had a persistent problem with condensation one of our grills for several years. Have gone through three different companies trying to resolve it with no luck. Sonny diagnosed the problem as a combination of issues around the vent, which he fixed on the spot. Alamo Austin Air replaced two complete HVAC systems in our two story house. They also recommended that all of the ducting in the second story attic be replaced with larger ducts and they also added additional air intake ducts to help balance out the system.It has now been a month since repairs were completed. All of our rooms are holding consistent and correct temperatures and for the first time in 25 years, our house is heating and cooling exactly like it’s supposed to do.The new thermostats are easy to use and the house is much more comfortable without the wild swings in temperature the old units and undersized ducting persistently created.They did a great job and they did it very quickly. I would definitely hire them again and I recommend their services. That’s a pretty big deal considering I’m a retired commercial contractor, I’m hard to please, and I don’t allow substandard work or b.s. on my property. I have been known to shut down incompetent contractors on the spot and hire others to finish jobs for that reason.Alamo Austin Air is running a tight and professional business.

We’ve been customers of Alamo Air for several years now. The company was recommended by a friend when our old system had broken down several years ago. At that time, they repaired our system at a very affordable and reasonable price and have kept it running for us since. But at 16 years old, in the hot and cold Texas climate, our heat strip part was mostly failing. Note that Alamo never tried to upsell us on anything and always gave us options and advice on how to repair our old system, along with reasonable estimates as to how much longer the system might last. In December 2023, we elected to replace our system, and Alamo gave us 4 options from Good to Best, along with a patient and exhaustive explanation of the benefits of each. (We asked so many questions, and Eric answered every one and more besides.) We never felt even slightly pressured or manipulated to purchase any of the various options.Installation was completed in just one day, and we’ve had our new system tried by a protracted freeze. It is a much cozier house than it was, and our primary bedroom, which used to be 4 to 5 degrees hotter or colder than the rest of the house had that situation fixed with some clever baffling and vent size correction.We cannot recommend Alamo Air enough. Give Jason and Danielle a call, either to maintain your existing system, or to purchase a new one. You can’t go wrong!

Yesterday was the second Carrier variable speed heating/cooling system I have had installed by Alamo (the first being 2017 at another house) and I had forgotten how amazing these systems are; most of the time we dont know its on unless you stop and listen for it.Equipment aside, I cannot recommend Jason and the Alamo team enough; Jason came out to design the complex system for our house in October 2021, which took several hours, and he went over every nuance and detail that I asked about. For reasons all on my end, I had to postpone installation until June. I was annoyed with myself and my own situation, but Alamo was understanding and patient with me through it all.I also want to acknowledge the design/engineering/installation triumphs of this team; our house has the AC in an attic area which needs to service additional living space that was added and new vaulted ceilings and multiple zones. I have been around enough to know that few installers would have gone to the efforts that Alamo Austin Air did for us yesterday. Thank you!

I had technicians from a competitor I had used for many years come out on four separate visits. During the last visit, the senior technician recommended a new system. They prepared a quote for $12,500. I called Alamo Austin Air for a second opinion. Jason Kreig came to the house. Within 15 minutes, Jason found the problem -- a faulty evaporator coil that needed a full replacement. I had an issue with my furnace that was not an obvious issue, the team spent several hours diagnosing it. During their check of the systems they found a few issues in how it was installed. As a result, they fixed my furnace and the setup, it has never worked better. Based on this, I asked what it would take to move my AC around the side of my house so I could add landscaping to rear of house. I got very fair quote, we agreed on a date and Jason came out with member of his team and found an issue with how my AC was setup. He was on time, courteous, and thoughtful enough to even wear shoe covers when in the house. Cant say enough good things about Jason and his team. We spent weeks getting quotes to shop the best deal for our HVAC replacement since ours finally gave out on us. Jasons quote was not only competitive, he had the products already in stock where other companies didnt foresee the upcoming shortage and werent sure if they would be able to get what we needed. Chris and his instillation team were very professional and overall the whole team at Alamo was incredibly responsive and caring. They handled everything for us from the registration of the units to the rebate. We even got a hand written note after the install thanking us for trusting them with our install - nice touch. Cant recommend enough!

Jason and his crew were amazing! Of course my AC died on a weekend AND in the midst of a heat advisory. I found Jason through another AC guy who came by to assess. The first guy, David, knew to call Jason and he was here within two hours to provide a portable AC unit, and an estimate for a new unit, ON A SUNDAY! I was so impressed. My unit was pushing 20 years old so I was not surprised when first guy, David, told me there had been an internal explosion(in outside unit), then showed me pictures of it, and informed me Id need a new unit. The seamless communication was on point. They communicated and, like I said, Jason was here within 2 hours. He was professional, very personable, and most importantly, stopped his weekend fun to accommodate me. We discussed all my options and they scheduled it at their next available time, a few days later. The new unit was installed with no issues and we were back in a cool house. Its been just shy of a week and Im so pleased with the new unit. Its quieter and more reliable on temperature. I feel certain its more efficient and cant wait to see my next electricity bill. I am also receiving a significant rebate from Austin Energy. I would highly recommend Alamo. Im so grateful and would refer any friend in need to them without a second thought!

From Jason, the owner, who did the initial assessment, to the folks in the office and their prompt responses, all the way to the employees who did the installation, all involved were knowledgeable, on time, helpful, friendly and honest.Our AC is running & cooling our house better than ever before and we are grateful for choosing a local company that exceeded our expectations!

My experience with Alamo Air has always been A++. Everyone on their team is so professional and I especially like that the techs take the time to explain the repairs. I use their regular maintenance service check plan and recently they repaired a failed capacitor in no time to get my unit up and running. Keep up the excellent work Alamo Air!

What I love about this business , outstanding customer service . I installed new A/C unit, and I choose them over many other companies based on my feeling that customer service truly outstanding. Jason spend his time to address all my concerns and still does.I also felt that they will treat me the same after I install the unit. Which is very important. When I had some issues with heating, Jason, the owner, dispatch technician very next morning. They honest, friendly, professional , and they do care about cleanest of your home and your health as well, in this pandemic’s time. Highly recommended .

Jason (Alamo owner) took the time to understand my hvac system and offered creative solutions to improve airflow (plenum changes + new vents with the correct airflow direction). He sent a very detailed quote in a no pressure manner and responded to my many questions with lots of details.Joseph (install team leader) and his team did an amazing install with very high attention to detail. Joseph also did a great job answering all of my questions during the install.First get some quotes from the big companies with high-pressure use-car sales tactics and then call up Alamo so you can really appreciate how they are a local company that takes immense pride in their work and reputation.

We had a old unit and over the years, I several different AC companies “repair” my AC and tell me we needed a new unit. They also insisted we need 2 units to replace the one , which meant new ducts, etc. I didn’t want that so we hobbled along, only to find out that they didn’t know what they were doing anyway and the repairs were actually wrong and caused other problems.I then called Alamo Air and met Jason and his team. After Jason did some investigating, I got the real story. Jason said it was time for a new unit, but we weren’t ready to do it. So, instead of pressuring us, Jason figured out a work around and he worked with me for over two years keeping my old unit working until we were ready to purchase a new one. We just got our new system! We got three bids and Jason’s bid was the best price and I knew the service would be excellent. Everything was done in a day and the garage was cleaner than when he arrived. He also handles the rebates and taught us how to use the new system with our phones. We are really happy with our purchase.

Great service, very professional & got the job done well & quickly. Pricing was a little lower than others we received quotes from, but the major selling point was that they could offer 0% financing. With having to unexpectedly replace our entire system, replace ducts, & have the attic insulated, the financing was a lifesaver!

Alamo Austin Air is a great company to use for your HVAC needs. They came out the day I called and fixed the issue in a timely manner. The Tech Adrian was fantastic. He educated me on what the process was and how the components work. The ladies int he office are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this company.

My 21yr old home a/c system was on its last legs. I called a couple companies out to give quotes for replacement. I went with Alamo Austin Air and am glad I did. Jason, the owner of the company, came out to look at my system and give a quote. He is professional and very knowledgeable. He explained how my 30yr old plenum was not up to current standards and was not efficient. For years I have had hot and cold spots throughout the house. The heating and cooling was never balanced. Jason made several changes to the layout and diameters of the ducts. He also redesigned the return and supply plenums to be more efficient. By doing this, I was able to go from a 3 ton unit (old one), down to a 2-1/2 ton unit for the new system. Chris was the installer and he is also very knowledgeable and skilled. Chris and his crew arrived on time and were very respectful of my home. They laid down protection for the floors. The job took all day, but they cleaned up very well before they left. I can now walk anywhere in the house and its the same temperature and comfort level! I am totally satisfied with the results. They even handled all the paperwork for the City of Austin rebate and that rebate is already approved and check should arrive soon. I already recommended Alamo Austin Air to a co-worker and he is extremely pleased with his new system as well. I am a picky consumer and I did the research and I would not hesitate to recommend Alamo Austin Air. I could not have asked for a better experience in the stressful task of replacing my home HVAC system.

20 year old system finally gave up. Alamo Austin Air provided several options with different cost and capabilities. Jason helped me select the right system for my home and longterm plans. The system was not the most expensive option, so it was clear Alamo Austin Air was more interested in my needs than just how much they could get out of me. Once the decision was made, the installation team, lead by Chris, was professional, thorough, and respectful of my home. Once they were done the house bwas cooling and, other than the new system, there were no signs work was done. Great install team and great work. Thanks to Alamo Austin Air, my house is cool and comfortable.

On the day of installation, Chris and his crew were on time, professional, and courteous. Couldnt be happier with the service! Highly recommend them!
